I have seen it done on a tandem and then landed! the funny thing is that the customer didn't even realise until after she was told on the ground! hows ya genral awareness!!! the T/M had over 10000 jumps too. you had 3 in the last two days??????, who the fuck is packing? Leigh is already in africa, im not there until oct 1. she did a jump from a microlight and we are gettin free fun jumps when slots are available, which is when we are available conidering there is 2 tm's and 1 camera gal, and a 182! our new chopper arrived yesyerday, it is a near new eurocopter (the ones with the inboard tail rotors,) can't wait to jump that one! are you gettin a vx still or jvx? does airtec have a reccomendation as to which wingloading should use the speed model? I'm ordering a new jvx in couple of weeks but i'll only be loading it 2.25-2.3 so i gues i'm way out of the dangerzone?? I hope. there fixed it for you, i did 800 jumps on one of those things and had to visit the physio 3 times for hard openings. i was training in sweden a few weeks ago and there is an new rule (at gryttyom anyway) that you cannot jump an elliptical until you have (i think) 500 jumps. you cannot have a wingloading over a certain point without completing a canopy course, specres and sabres are quite popular there!!! I once bought a vortex11 from aguy that had quit jumping under instructions from his wife i only had 6 jumps, yes 6 jumps on the whole sysem. i paid NZ$2000 (US$1200) and got a FS jumpsuit, an alti, a dytter, a matching gearbag and a packing mat. the gear really did have 6 jumps. i di 100 on it and sold it for a good profit, and stil ata bargain price. so you can find really good deals out there, if you ask a rigger that does not know the seller and they say it is a good deal and suitable then go for it! my vector3 was chronic for that but i sewed an extra laver of thinner weebung to the straps and it was fine after that! a talon 2 that i Once jumped was terrible too 1 time i opened and the legstraps slipped right to the stops at the end, i have never been so terrified in my life. i didn't jump that rig again! and a brand new strong tandem used to slip all the time too i just remebered! seems quite common. the parachute de france buckles seem to be the best! hi all, i had my first tandem chop on saturday, my fiance packed it too! it was a nice lineover that looked like a beautifl butterfly! i tried to clear it but is started to rotate pretty quick once i released the brake. i had a handcam on. that didn't phase me only got footage of the risers though and a quick shot of my concerned looking face. the cutaway was easy and i was a little on my right side so stuck out my left hand for a little stability and a frction before i pulled the reserve the RSL had taken care of business. nice opening (fast but not hard) on the vector reserve, heavier togglr preasure and nice flare and soft landing. my next dz has sky hooks so maybe i'll get to try those. but (touch wood) i hope i don't have to. my fiance will be packing sometimes though "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

and they don't get collapses? presenting the top skin to strong winds is aking for it if you ask me? i use a 90deg turn (with an out) and when the wind is strong i come straight in. there is no need to turn and you only need 1/2 a flare!! why the hell would you do a 180 in strong wind?? I think the fairest way is an even rotation, you an sit there all day or go home your choice, but if you're not there whan your name is called...... stiff titties the next guy gets the jump. that is how every dropzone i have worked at works it out. the only fair way!!! i hate this "he's/she's been here the longest so he/she gets priority" bullshit. you've either got the job or you havn't and don't overstaff or they wont stay!
