just over 500 total, 6 as a passenger, it hink i need to to another one soon, i think it is important that TM's can remember how fucking uncomfortable those harnesses are, having said that i have a rating on 4 different systems and have only ever been a passenger on strong. I voted for alti bus as mentioned i use it only initially. but i can't imagine anyone staring at thier alti throuout thier whole approach so i guess i'm an alti man. i only have 50 jumps on my fx 89 so i am still playing with the height still. 500' seems to work well for 270 "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix -

cloud kicks on your canopy are fun!!! especially large TQ´s. once i was test jumping a vx and there was a big cloud and it had kind of a tunnel through it so i hooked right through that bad boy and it felt amazing. on the other hand freefall through a TQ is not so fun. my fiance went throug a cloud filming a tandem they entered the cloud at about 14000´and came out about 4000´ too bad for the tandem who opened inside. the welts on thier face from the hail were horrific. but i have heard that the smallest cloud on the horizon in the us will warrent a weather hold???? this is fucking stupid, and a prime example of the beuocracy(dunno if that is how you spell it?) in the US. ok clouds are dangerous when they create a layer or restrict the view to the dz but a small little puffy cloud. these americans are crazy "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

well, nz aerosports doesn´t make the neos and the spanish crowd don´t make the jvx.don´t think the yanks make either (but i´m not 100% on that they may make the neos?) i would have thought the neos was between the crossfire and vx? static line is a much more self satisfying way to learn. imho your first freefal is by yourself and with no trainer wheels! and when you first see someone else in freefall you will get to play with them not just follow thier orders. if you learn to ride a bike without trainer wheels you are much cooler! and besides you'll get plenty of chance to drag a 3 way out but those that did aff most often never do a static line jump but a quick to mock them. all the best "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

go to gryttjom skydiving club in sweden. half the price for student programme than most places and no extra cost for rejumps. free accomodation and a really excellent place to be, a twin otter and a an28 for all your exiting needs/wants. just left there today and i miss it allready! look them up and contact them. ryanair flys to stockholm (or not too far away anyway) good luck, do it "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

are you freaking kidding? they are terribl in turbulance. admittadly i have only flown them a dozen times or so but i have witnessed literally many thoudand of thier landings and they do not hesitate to flod in half in turbulance. and to answer an earlier question i am pretty sure it was a hop 330 that the the fatality last year were under. don't get me wrong i reallylike the hop, it opens and flys and flaresreally nice but in turbulance give me a set 400 or an ez384 anyday! Agreed, and the dropped knees is alot of the time the instuctors fault for tightening the main lift web too much! try putting a customer harness on sit on the floor against a wall like you would be in a plane and tighten the MLW to a snug fit. then try to stand up straight let alone arch!!!! I saw this far too often when i was full time camera, and try to give advice to a tandem instructor as a vidiot!!!!!!
