  1. Now before everyone gets upset 'up in here' I like America, and plenty of americans, probabaly many millions of them. but I think it shows how stupid high proportion of americans are. For instance, the pro life thing, If abortion was illegal, I would have had to raise an unwanted child into poverty. Instead I didn't, my then girlfriend and I were able to have our unwanted child terminated (the term used in New Zealand). I managed to create a fun, lucrative lifestyle, I got(and will get to) to fulfill many of my aspirations and meet my soulmate. I have made myself more comfortable/independant in life which puts me in a position where I can raise a child comfortably and into a healthy lifestyle, If I wish. Where is pro life so imortant when you can happily send your healthy young civilians to fight in a stupid war, while at the same opressing and decemating the livelehoods of millions of lives, what is pro life about that? Hypocracy is the word that springs to mind. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  2. These are valid reasons, 'if' you agree with them. I won't get into too much debate about the particular policies as they can be left for another thread/post. But Disagree with 'most' of them. The repubicans played that (ditzy woman) card with the media because it gave her popularity, she wouldn't have done those silly skits and jokes if she wanted the world to take her seriously. The media need dirt to make a story, and she has plenty of it. I (and a fair portion of the human population) had, had enough of the republican policies and negative influence they have had on global life, so I wasn't so interested in her policies to be brutally honest. I do agree with alternative energy, but the USA only 'seemed' to become aware of the importance of alternative energy once thay had to pay for Gas what the rest of the world had been paying for a over a decade. Alternative energy was an obvious card to play in the 2008 elections. You are obviously oblivious of the arrogance and ignorance of that comment so I won't bother correcting you on it. 3. The canadian army are here in Perris training, they have these nice looking carbon fibre helmets with wire mesh by the ears which I guess is for hearing each other yelling and screaming at each other, i'll look tomorrow to see where they are from. 4. A rather vague answer. Give an example or two about policies or anything that you agree on with her. I don't know what you would call me (politically) I don't like to slot myself in any genre as I am open to suggestion at any point (as everyone should be). She seems very dipsy, not very well educated and we'll quite sheltered. She also made the republican party look bloody stupid in last years election, and was an embaressment to the intellegence of the United States of America. I'm sure many republican would agree with me on that one. These are my reasons for not liking her. What are the main reasons you like her for? 5. seriously, what do you like about her? "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  6. Me too, that silly mole gave us quite a few laughs. She gave Obama the golden ticket to the white house. Thise who think she might have a chance of winning are kidding themselves, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  7. damnn that must be a soildd packjob? my micro raven 109 ffits in nice but a 126 dammmmmmmmmmmn "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  8. Hi, I am looking for a weight belt suitable for swooping and formation skydiving. i am attending a big way camp and need a weight belt, but do not usually do much formation stuff but intend on particpationg in competition swooping in the near future. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. i want a belt rthare than a vest. Thanks, Rhys "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  9. If your hobby is saling boats, OK If your hobby is skydiving, Ok. Though you may have some opposition it is mostly accepted. If your hobby is stealing handbags or bullying people, then that is not Ok, it is mostly negative and has a strong negative effect on those around you. Just like intentionally polluting the planet with minimal postive imapact. I do understand that it is almost impossible now for us to live without pollution, it is a fact of life now, but what we actually do and what we are capable of doing are two separate things. You have to be fair, there are 6 billion+ others on this planet and we all should have the same rights. According to America it OK. for 1/20th of worlds the population to use 1/4 of the energy supplies? 10. Typical xtians, totally missing the substance of the conversation and swinging it ito a conversation about themsleves. i have never said anyone has to live like me, i simply believe we should all have the right to execise our 'faiths' (That'l rattle ya dags) without interuption from other 'faiths'. So if you pollute the planet frivilously and expect to be able to do so, then how can others that want to have a clean environment live in their utopia? Don't be so fucking selfish and self centered. And quit talking about fucking religon. Did you understand what Bill wrote? He summed it up in a couple of paragraphs, but you guys let it fly right over your head and continued to bicker about ancillary tangents. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  11. it is not a religous conversation, it is about human impact on the environment. Christians are such self centered idiots sometimes! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  12. that is a far cry from the people driving thier f250's around town. at least you have an economical care as an alternative. Your situation is not what I was refering to. however you could have a trailer for your car though, that would save you lots of cash. i "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  13. You love it because you need to haul some heavy shit, or you love it because it is big and powerful? There is a use for these things, but very few actually need them, i am interested in why you love it? Seriously. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  14. that is some funny shit, not too sure what the relevance is though but could care less. A valid argument to say the least, how profound of you i stand corrected! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  15. How many jumps are you talking? If you are talking about 100 jumps or more, then for that price you could go to Lodi in California, including airfares, save money and be garanteed to as many jumps as you are able. if you want to do 200, which is easy in two months there, you could save alot. Lodi price US$13 per ticket if bought in bulk. This is less than half of the usual USA price and less tahn half of the usual europe price. The least expensive in the world! If you want to do around 100 jumps or or less or don't want to leave europe, then as far as I am aware, Gryttyom/Stockholms parachte club in sweden is the least expensive, that offers turbines and constant loads. At least in northern europe anyway. According to the Swedish backpacker I was talking to yesterday the swedish kronor is very low at the moment. 16. No so long as we all can co exist without negatively effecting each others ability to do so, by being greedy and selfish. No that steriotype is that apitomy of selfish and lazy, it was not directed at anyone in particular. Why do you ask, are you fat, lazy and drive a behemouth pick up truck distances that you could easily walk? It is funny how this conversation has strayed because those that don't care for the environment, don't quite understand themselves. Really this conversation should be about the melting ice caps and the potential connection of human activity but that notion is shunned by ignorant one liners. I'm gonna agree to disagree and leave it at that! We do need to start caring more though or we will not be providing a very comfortable future for our next generations. Myself included. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  17. It is positive to see he wants to disarm the nukes like he said he would, he also is realistic about dealing with the problems, rather than dealing with them redneck style. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  18. nah, it is an insult to chimpanzees. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  19. WTF what do those morons have to do with this. Christians often couldn't give a shit about the environment because according to them everything was created for man to use. geez you have some bizzare analogies, it seems you are steering away from the point. Natural influence can be affected by our actions, and we should strive to have as minimal negative impact on the environment while living an enjoyable lifestyle. This is not impossible and does not mean we have to stop doing the things we already do completly maybe just different,we should be open to the suggestion of change and try to understand what impact we have in relation to the things we do. No, the Earth is how it is and we should resect that not be so selfish about it. That is a perfect example of what we are talking about and I am glad you understand how stupid that situation is, it was actually the English that brought the rabbits as the only real New Zealanders at the time were Maori. they themselves bought rats. http://christchurchcitylibraries.com/Kids/NZBirdsAnimals/Rabbits/ New Zealands ecology is unique and the fuckwits that introduced the rabbits purely for something to shoot and make the place feel like home were indeed idiots. the depatemnt of conservation now spends many millions of dollars fighting a seemingly endless battle tring to save what is left. If the idiots new in the first place knew what they were inadvertantly doing, they most likely would not have done so, it is the education that changes everything. The fat lazy cunt driving his big ass pickup truck to the store, that is within walking distace to get his pack of ciggies is the current problem, they have the opportunity to be less wasteful but decide that shit is only for hippies. attitude and education is the key to the battle but it is a losing battel when you are dealing with a instinctively lazy and selfish bunch of primates such as the human race. People did not set out to destroy the Kiwi, they set out to have something to shoot, then they had the problem of erosion, then the problem of stoats, weasels and ferrets, prefering the flightless birds of the undergrowth rather than the agile fast rabbits. like us the stoats, weasels and ferrets take the easiest road. You compare a passive flightless bird eating grubs to an infectious disease? what a comparison? I don't belive that is true, it is true that some specialised wealthy hunters/consumers have been known to target endangered species, but generally speaking most extinctions happen due to greedy consumtion not intentional extinction. The seal hunters would have prefered the numbers of seals to remain high but they did not because their greed compelled them to take what was left while the going was good. luckily the number were still there to adequtely replenish the population over a period of time, some specied did not have that priviledge. other species become extint due to inadvertant mistakes. Good and bad is subjective when we leave the definition in the hands of the beholder, the true definition is whether the subject produces a negative or positive outcome. Kiwis forraging in the undegrowth is part of the natural cycle. Where smallpox is also part of the cycle, and played its part in population control for 1000's of years, it has a negative effect on our life if we are subject to it and can be distinctly defined as bad. I see your point through, but the effects of smallpox is undesiarable to humans and seemingly negative, but kiwis or turtles or most endangered species are loved and cherished by many but abused and exploited by the whole processof existance we have created, that we call life. I think you are talking about human wants, not human needs. Human fables and reality are two separate things. I (and many others) can tell the difference but it seems a high proportion of the human population cannot. so i take it you are pushing a christian agenda? nothing peacfull about smallpox! 21. I do, I live relatively economically while fullfilling my aspirations. I could, be a recluse in the woods living off the land if I wish or I could be a selfish wasteful asshole who will stop at nothing to make a buck. I choose something in between like most of us. 22. ru·in n. 1. Total destruction or disintegration, either physical, moral, social, or economic. 2. A cause of total destruction. 3. 1. The act of destroying totally. 2. A destroyed person, object, or building. 4. The remains of something destroyed, disintegrated, or decayed. Often used in the plural: studied the ruins of ancient Greece. v. tr. 1. To destroy completely; demolish. 2. To harm irreparably. 3. To reduce to poverty or bankruptcy. 4. To deprive of chastity. v. intr. To fall into ruin. Our fragile environment, that is the provider of our health and well being is being completely ignored by many of the people that occupy this earth. As much as the effects of human activity are stochastic, we often do completely ignore the repercussions of our activities and how they affect the environment in an unwitting, irreversible way. Usually human beings react to a known problem, when it gets to the point that they have to.... No temperature is, there are natural influences and there are human influences. We cannot ingore either. damn straight they are, ask anyone that knws anything about native species (from any country) and the negative effect of introduced species on the natives. ah yest they are, there are very intellegent people doing amazing, positive things and there are very intellegent people doing audaciuos and consequently negative things, in the quest for fame or fortune. I accept the earth changes naturally, and have seen conclusive evidence of that, but I do not like how people are doing it recklessly and without regret. Stupid question but i'll answer it. if i was alive 10,000 years ago i would not have the brain capacity to understand these subjects as we do today. This is what makes it so sad, we do have the ability to change, we do have ther recources and knowhow, but we don't want to because it is seemingly comfortable living they way we know rather than aspiring to have what we all know we need. Peace, understanding and harmony. This is with each other and with our surroundings and its inhabitants. A little respect goes a long way. 23. wow, imagine a two out situation with those canopies? not saying that configuration is bad? but it would definately be interesting.
  24. Now explain how the USA does not do such things? and how those that do not have the same ideals as the USA should feel any less threatened than you do right now? "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
  25. I wouldn't bother debating this subject with someone that quite obviously is ingnorant in the subject. Human beings have been slowly ruining the planet at an exponential rate. We all pay our part, and it is very sad indeed, Those that can't see this and claim to be intelligent, are nothing more than ignoramus.
