    Farm Animals

Hilarious!!! I have never "chased" an animal while landing, but I did, however, end up in a field full of cows (note to self: avoid the steaming piles) and they had quite an interst in me and my pink and blue canopy! Tee
  2. Oh my gawd mccordia....now that is a skydiving family!!!

    Bigways

Yup, my sweetie was in the world record attempt in Chicago last summer, but it wasn't an attempt for deaf skydivers though. I know in 1999 there was a world record of 7 deaf skydivers that was set at an international competition in Australia.

  7. Woohoo! I may get to meet SpeedRacer!!! It just so happens that my dz is about an hour and a half away. I live 4 hours away, but I will be out at the dz that weekend. Check your private msgs SpeedRacer, and we will discuss that hot tub party . Tee
  8. My 2nd home is at the Skydive Ranch in Beiseker, Alberta. It is a nice little dz with 3 planes (1-C182, 2-C206). It has a 4,000 sq. ft. packing hangar, a little outdoor restaurant (which I have learned only serves hotdogs, burgers and chicken fingers ), $10 a night dorm rooms with showers and things (unfortunately NOT co-ed) cool paved bon fire area and an AWESOME family! We still jump in the winter there but it isn't officially open, so I spend my winter weekends in Edmonton, Alberta (where I live) at the Edmonton Skydive Center. They are a great group too. Tee
  9. Hey everyone....Zennie owes BEER!!! Congrats Zennie.
  10. Why is it that noone makes any trips to Alberta, Canada??? LOL Tee
  11. Thanks for the tip. If you're ever up in Alberta let me know and I will get my reserve repacked again....just for fun! lol lol Tee
  12. Hey Chuck. I just wanted to let you know that recently I have learned to appreciate the pack job you did for me last October. I bought Lori's gear from you and the reserve repack was impecable. Recently I had it repacked and now you can see the reserve bag when you open the riser covers ,and when looking at the back of the container the material at the sides of the reserve pin has tension pulling it down so you can see the reserve bag when the rig is all closed up!!! ACK!! So I got it repacked again by ANOTHER rigger and it isn't much of an improvement. SO.....if you weren't so darned far away, I would definately send it back to you!
  13. "....To the funny farm, where the grass is greener all the time...." LOL you crack me up Pammi! (shhhhh....I had that 45 too!) Tee
  14. We've done that for fun under the student rigs with a VERY light wingload, but I certainly wouldn't want to be under mine going backwards! Glad to hear that you are okay! Just think....at least you have a "cool" skydive story out of it! lol

  16. Congrats on the CYPRES! I hope you like yours as much as I do mine, I have never had to use it, but I love it none the less! BEER!!! Tee
  17. Hey Jessica, your Stars are playing my Edmonton Oilers right now. (yup, I'm an Edmonton girl) Good thing that I have only lived here for 8 years and soon to be living in Calgary....and am not a huge fan or I would have to make a wager with you. j/k Tee
  18. Thanks Froggie!! That was such a great story. It totally took me back to when I was doing AFF and that first time when you are actually solo!!! What a rush. That was when skydiving turned to SKYDIVING!!!! Way to go girl!
  19. Hey Pammi. The first time I got my navel peirced I waited 6 months and it still didn't heal, so I took it out and tried again a month later with a gold ring (as opposed to surgical steel) and to my amazement, it healed within a month and a half! So, if you do decide to try again, give gold a try. I do agree that tattoos are addictive, if they weren't so darm permanent, I would have more. I have one on my lower back, this way I can show it off when I want, but also hide it when I need to as well. They do hurt to get, but still are somehow addictive.

AND, not to mention what it is doing to me knowing that I have 10 free skydives sitting on my account from a couple of weekends ago when I dressed as a hula girl for the Outdoor Sportsman Show. (how can a girl turn down 10 jumps, even if she has to be half naked in front of 1000's of ppl) Tee
  21. Hi Donna. I am also 5'4" and had the same problem as you when choosing a container. There are alot of the containers out there that are longer in the body. I finally settled on a Talon 1 container. It is nice and narrow and still ends in the small of my back. I jump a 135 Sabre with a 143 reserve and there really isn't much room to go any bigger, but the Talon 2 may fit and is still short. A friend of mine purchased a "short body" Quasar witch worked great for her too. Just look around, most models will come with a shorter version. Tee
  22. Sounds like a great weekend anyway though! Isn't that funny how skydiving can consume your life in the most amazing ways?!?!? You can't even look at a simple flag the same anymore.
