a familiar question... Me personally? I have less than 200 skydives, of course I am not the ideal role model for "How to fly a BASE canopy", nor am I advocating anything I do is close to correct. However, some others have pontificated about this subject. Me, I would look through BLINC to find more info, as well as links to more info. However, asking is the first step in the process. And learning to skydive is a good start also, unless you are going to R and S' Bounceproof BASE school. Thomas

What? I thought fashion was ALL this sport was about. Why do I waste so much time trying to coordinate my outfits? I mean, I try to use my lighter green (matching a certain river out west) shades when I know suspect I am going into greenish water. I try to use darker browns/leafy greens when I know suspect I am going to get hung up in a tree. Oh, and I go for tie-dye when I am unsure of where I will crash land. It shouldn't bother you, as long as the logo doesn't say something like: "Preparation H", or...... "Tampax" a viagra logo might be funny. Thomas

I remember reading on BLINC some stuff that was posted about this type of subject. Something about Throwing Up! . And no SickFlicka, it is not a bunch of vomit picks. Something to the tune that one must also factor in the size of the canopy in use. A light female jumping a 205-225 might get away with using a 42" PILOT CHUTE FOR HER BASE RIG, where a heavier built guy jumping a 310 may run into some interesting ground rush because the PC doesn't have enough force to lift the canopy off of the back. I think Mr. Aiello's son has posted some stuff on BLINC before about this also. I do believe there is a chart or two floating around out there about PC size, and how much force it generates given the delay taken. Someday I may get motivated enough to find that also. Thomas

Something I heard was that drinking lots of CRANBERRY juice helps to clean the system. Lots of cranberry juice, and lots of water. There are a few other ways to beat a piss test. As mentioned though, some places will test for these cleaners/masks and give you a positive result if they detect the other substances. I have beaten a couple piss tests with these cleaners. One was pills I took for a week before the test, and the pills madew me piss bright green. Almost lime green, or flourescent green. Later in the week, the piss began to take a more normal color. Another system I used was a bottle of about 50 pills the day of the test. Begin taking them 6-8 hrs before the test, and the final pills were taking 2 hours before the test. Both these worked, but they may not have been the most rigorous tests in the world. Keep in mind though, if a company wants to give you a thorough (expensive) drug test, they will give you a follicle (hair) test. Drugs stay in the hair for up to a year or two, depending on hair growth rate, and how long you hair is. Either way, basic urine tests are fairly easy to beat. It's always the follow up "random testing" they do that can catch you. Either way...the common phrase is.... " You gotta pay to play." Good luck with it though. A little longer for women.....something about it's in the fatty tissues, and takes women longer to recycle the tissues, or something. It's not a joke about women. I heard that it stays in women systems longer than mens. Can anyone back me up here?

The UTAH drop looks essentially like I was thinking a "pull-off" would look like. Let some wind grab the canopy, and the forward pull would leave about no option other than to get off the object (unless tied in), and the canopy would stay out in front of you. No personal attack. Just an opinion. It was nice not having someone to compete with for the "drama queen" title I so dearly coveted. Maybe you weren't really friends with one of the guys who offers a bounce proof BASE course, nor were you friends with the person who filmed in freefall DW flying through the guy wires.
