  1. I think you missed Lawrocket's point -- left wingers reject Farraro's possibly true statement because they have to. . . =(_8^(1)
  2. At least Spitzer IS stepping down. Meanwhile, Senator Widestance is duking it out in the courts, trying to serve out the rest of his term. I can't imagine how these people look at themselves in the mirror. . . =(_8^(1)
  3. The clown has stepped down. I hope they prosecute his extremely hypocritical ass. . . =(_8^(1)
  4. After $2600 in medical bills on those marmosets last year, you can bet I've spent a lot of time contemplating just how to get the most meat per $ out of them, and boiling is definitely not the most efficient. . . =(_8^(1)
  5. As the fond owner of three teacup Chihuahuas, I must say that I'm in total agreement with this.
  6. Yep, a lie in the face of plain truth, exactly for the reasons you say. . . =(_8^(1)
  7. Nothing relevant to their ability to run the office. What am I missing? . . =(_8^(1)
  8. Sure. But imagine Zen's surprise . . . he goes to a Tool concert. Between songs, Maynard suddenly steps to the front of the stage and goes into a rant telling the audience what a wonderful job Bush is doing with the economy and Iraq. I bet there wouldn't be a lot of "suck it up" going on. . . =(_8^(1)
  9. Zenister is always right, except when he is wrong, which seems to be quite often. Never admitting you're wrong doesn't make it so. Ask the Dixie Chicks if they have "complete control over their performances". You may say that they do, but the almighty dollar taught them a lesson they've not forgotten. Their method of performance changed when the audience stopped showing up. So who's in control of their performances again? . . =(_8^(1)
  10. He's just bitter because he doesn't "get" to work at the shipyard anymore. . . =(_8^(1)
  11. That was then. This is now. That VAST military overspending you're fond of mentioning does have an actual benefit or two. Correct - the vast military overspending, NOT Joe Sixpack and his handgun. The 2nd Amendment already existed in 1814. Well, to sack Wash DC, you have to first GET to Wash DC. That's where the overspending comes in. . . =(_8^(1)
  12. Yea, except we've got ten times the people, ten times the land, and ten times the guns and technology. Other than that, not much different. You've actually made FreeflyChile's point. Think we're having trouble with Iraq's militias? Name an occupying army that would not have ten times the problems here in the US. . . =(_8^(1)
  13. I hesitated in replying to this becasue I realized I was coming across with a too-simplistic "it's all the liberal's fault" attitude, and I know better than that. I guess one way to look at problems in education and culture today is that "liberals" do drive some changes that are not good. But at the same time, "conservatives" impede some changes that are good. . . =(_8^(1)

  15. Yes, you've made that abundantly clear over the course of this and other threads. Good thing kbordson has stepped up to help you understand your own system a little better. Uh, you pay for health care and hospital bills in your tax bill. It's your choice not to "worry" about how much you're paying. Again, it's your choice not to "worry" about how much you're paying. But you're paying. What is the percentage of your tax that goes toward providing "free" healthcare to all your citizens? . . =(_8^(1)
  16. Thanks. As an undecided, this really helped me sort out the primary platform differences between each candidate. . . =(_8^(1)
  17. I personally know about 40 men who work for a woman -- same woman I work for. Maybe 10% have a problem with it and/or use stereotypical slurs. The rest are pretty much gender-uncaring about it. Maybe the times are a changin' out from under your own stereotypical view? . . =(_8^(1)
  18. Cast me into the 20% if you wish, but you do so at the cost of being incorrect. There are numerous liberal political positions which I appreciate, both now and especially in the past. What liberals (who control public schools in this country) have done to fuck up education is definitely NOT on the list of things I appreciate, however. . . =(_8^(1)
  19. To that end, she's a Karma-karma karma-karma karma Cham-e-leee-onnn . . . . . =(_8^(1)
  20. Do you have any appreciation for: - interstate highways? - air traffic control? - environmental control? - national defense? If so, how would those things get paid for? I'm not in favor of too many things the feds do, but those few that are really needed have to get funded somehow. Anything that gets rid of the IRS is fine by me. . . =(_8^(1)
  21. Interesting read. I have a headache now.
