Guinness is good for you, I tried Guiness once...I gave it away after two drinks! Those beers must just be an aquired taste, and I have no desire to aquire it! Awh man, nothin' beats Guinness and pickled eggs.

Wow, I didn't know they used that method past the 80's anyway. I went through a similar progression at Cal City back in 93. I did 2 static line jump, then 3 static line jumps with PRCPs and then went to freefall. I ended up taking a few months off before finishing the (then) student jump progression. When I came back, I had to do a static line jump with a PRCP for "recurrency" and then I went back to freefall and finished the student progression that weekend. Later, when I got my Static Line Jumpmaster rate (no longer current) the Instructor had this thing where he wanted everyone going through the course to do at least one static line jump themselves. So, with several hundred jumps at that point, I did another static line jump. So, if I do my maths right, I've got 7 static line jumps.

Why can't you use same colored wire and then just put on shrink wrap wire IDs near the ends to keep track of what's what?

Repeated rinsing in fresh water and a through drying is about the best you can do. If you can get to it before it dries, the better off you'll be. Take more precautions in the future to keep gear and cats separate. Personally, I wouldn't try any of the "piss-off" products suggested up thread, but over to y'all. If it got on the container / reserve, now things become a bit more dicey. Again, repeated douching in fresh water and a through drying is about it, but you're also at the mercy of your rigger if he or she will consider the container / reserve "air worthy" afterwards. Search the forums, there's probably been discussion of it around here already, maybe. I'm not a big fan of cats and this thread seems to have elicited the predictable responses from those who feel similar... but I've got a Remington 870 pump-action cat catcher y'all can borrow...
