Jr. I would rethink the placement of the new engine if I were you. Sparky Well now hang on there just one second, Sparky. Jr. could be thinking of mounting the engine there, running a shaft up the middle of the fuselage, between the two front seats, through the MIP / firewall and clear to the front of the airplane to drive the prop. Think P-39 Airacobra. Of course, it would also necessitate some ducting trough the left and right sides of the fuselage or window behind the pilot's seat on the left and through the cargo doors on the right to port the exhaust overboard and likely an over the wing intake to bring in air for the engine to breath; likely through the area where the rear window is. This would free-up lots of space in what was the engine compartment where the Continental was for machine guns & ammo, syncro'ed to fire through the prop-arc, of course and to correct the weight and balance for removal of the recip engine too. Now where to we put the jumpers...

I have no idea what it is, but it looks French to me. -
Someone wanted a picture of that ass-end, so I took one while out out Cal City yesterday, plus another of the left rear quarter.

Does anyone remember those skydiving t-shirts that had a graphic of a large post-it-note on the back and on the post-it was written, "MEMO TO BOSS. Dear Boss, Work Sucks! Gone skydiving!" I used to have one and would wear it to work (if I couldn't ditch work) when in a pissy mood. My boss was cool enough to see that when I had that shirt on, he'd best just leave me alone to work on what I was doing and not change rudder orders with the latest "most important thing in the world, gotta have it right now" nonsense and wait to tell me about it until Monday. Anyway, does anyone know if they still make those shirts? I could use a new one to wear to work these days.

I'm surprised you didn't say, "A guy with a huge schlong" in there anywhere??!?? Oh, wait, maybe that what "Someone with whom I have chemistry/physical attraction" means?

You went low on the conversation there Cary... I think HW was talking about 1PM maybe going to X-Keys, not Yong. Yong is at Snore, not 1PM, but maybe Youg will go to X-Keys at somepoint, if she hasn't already been there... ... okay, now I'm confused... DOH!

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/03/09/body-atop-broadcast-tower-michigan/?test=latestnews# Body Found Atop Broadcast Tower in Michigan Published March 09, 2011 | FoxNews.com Maintenance crews in Michigan made a gruesome discovery on Tuesday when they found a man’s body at the top of a broadcast tower, MyFoxDetroit.com reported. Workers spotted the dead man – who was only wearing a T-shirt and underwear – on top of the 1,100-foot CBS broadcast tower around 12:30 p.m. "Around 12:30 today, we received a phone call from the workers that were working on this tower. They had found a deceased black male at the very top of the tower," Oak Park Public Safety Sergeant Jason Ginoplis said. Investigators are trying to determine the man's identity, as well as how he got to the top of the tower and the duration of time he was there. "We don't have any information on who he is at this point. We don't know how he got up there. It appears as he went up there on his own," Oak Park Public Safety Lieutenant Samantha Kretzschmar said. Authorities said there were no obvious signs of violence on the body, but that nothing could be ruled out as a cause of death. Getting the body down from its high position was dangerous work that required special recovery skills. "Right now, we have three anchor teams from the Oakland County Technical Rescue Team. We have Independence Township, Pontiac Fire Department and Southfield Fire Department. Because of the height of this tower, it is a high angle body recovery at this point, so technicians have gone up the elevator and climbed up the final approximately 45 feet to the level that the deceased is at," Southfield Fire Chief Peter Healy said. After the recovery, the body was taken to the medical examiner's office where an attempt will be made to identify the victim. The radio tower, leased by Richland Tower to CBS-owned and operated Detroit television station WWJ-TV, was at 20931 Meyers near Eight Mile Road, about 13 miles northwest of central Detroit.
