  1. Good to see you had fun! . For a moment there, I thought you had three mals in one day! -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  2. I've gone qantas twice to brisbane, via sydney and adelaide, and I haven't had any problems. Rig as carry-on in a back pack, straight through the screening process, and out the other side... My hook knife even made it through once, thought I've taken it off since then. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  3. There you go. You don't have to be a jumper, just an APF member. Further to your ADF rigger stuff, check out my reply PM... -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  4. ummm... maybe you need to teach PLFs so that they don't break their ankles/wrists/legs when they crash and burn on their first landing? I used PLFs in anger enough to know that I need them. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  5. Just relocate one or two of the towers to Oz. We'll keep them busy.... . I can't help you with your problem though. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  6. lol I like that! or he can come to Oz and piss them off at 16. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  7. How about just wearing the suit and learning to fly around with that on. Not filming, just learning to fly better; the same as you do for relheads and freaks... That's what I thought the question was... -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  8. Where do you jump? Progression may be faster in AFF, but do to less weather holds? What happens when the ceiling is 5k? AFF abies are stuck on the ground, SL students can go out and do jumps. Wind? They're both students, they're both limited to 15 kn. All of our SL students wear the same jumpsuits as the AFF students. Finacncail outlay may be greater, but that may promote people to cut their losses, or they may never start. SL is cheaper, but longer, AFF is more expensive but shorter. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  9. You can also use a delta to get out of a spin. . I've put myself into a really fast spin a few times, then just relaxed into a delta position to stop the spin. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  10. You're not backward in coming forward, are you Squeak? -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  11. I've got a PVC handle and pack basically according to Brian's method. Pretty much no chance of grabbing the bridle, as long as you keep everything neat and tidy. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies

  14. Hey. My first jump was done at 3500'. I got scared on my first jump from height. I'm scared of heights below 1000'.... -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  15. I tried "upgrading" myself to an E license, but it only displayed D.... Maybe it's trying to tell me I nee about 300 more jumps -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  16. You're eligible to apply, assuming you fulfill the requirements. Whether you'd pass or not is another question. -- Arching is overrated - Marlies

  23. Welcome to the club. I managed to jag my rig. I saw it, and it fit and I bought it. I could use being a couple of inches taller to fit it properly, but hey.... It was cheaper than buying new.... -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  24. Maybe it's the combination of nightshot and bright sunlight that's overloading your CCD and making it really green. It's happened on a couple of handicam videos. The button gets turned on as you're putting the camera in the pouch... -- Arching is overrated - Marlies
  25. I use a Waycool blue eye lens (~x0.4) I have the focus and exposure on auto, then put on the lens. I then touch the focus button. This fixes the focus at ~0.1 m. I then change my exposure mode to "Beach and Ski" I just jump mine for fun, and haven't explored any of the other settings available.
