We're hoping to head out some time in July (maybe the 4th). Loved the CASA and the great people and want to see the Vern macarana(sp?) again. We were really sorry we left so early, Chicago weather was crap when we got home. Life doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful!

Hey girl didn't get to say bye to you last night. We left early this morning. We all had a great time and I know Tanja and I will be back soon. Tanja renamed wingnut on the way home to walnut. I had a hard time driving on the way home cause I was crying from laughter. She also scored some beads for flashing some guy in a pick up truck. It was a great boogie and a great ride home as well. Hope you guys got some jumps in today. We returned to crap weather here in Chicago. See everyone soon hopefully.

Just arrived back in Chicago from SGC. Thank you to all of you who made it such an awesome time. If anyone from SGC comes across a camera that has a rainbow on it please pm me. I not only have photos from the boogie but also of my 5th graders on it. It's a disposable camera and it looks rather gay Any help would be greatly appreciated. A big thank you to Jim and Lee for thier hospitality and wonderful dinner Sat. night. It ROCKED! Hope to see all my new friends again soon cause we will be back. The girls and I renamed wingnut to walnut. Tanja had a missfire in the brain on the way home and I found it appropriate to share the info. Tough love always pays off in the end. She will definately remember this and think twice about doing it again. If she is feeling really bad about lying then having her earn the trip back is a really good idea. Remember she is only human, not that what she did was right, but maybe think about giving her a chance to redeem herself. It would be helpful for everyone involved. I also wear a pump but I do notice still that if I do any drinking the night before I have to watch the bs levels a whole lot more than if I don't jump. When jumping for an entire day and taking my pump on and off several times I do find that the sugar levels rise. Do you ever jump with your pump on? I only do when I am wearing a full suit. I am afraid of it falling of with my free fly pants. Fun stuff!!! Life doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful!

I know there has been a couple of threads about this topic but I was wondering if there was any discussion about places to stay around/at the dz. There will be three Chicagoland girls heading out that way for the boogie and I am wondering what kind of arrangements were available. We are capable of tenting it but the May weather is unpredictable so I would like to make other arrangements just in case. Thanks! Life doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful!

I've had type 1 diabetes for 15 years and have been jumping for about 2 of those. I find that adrenaline suppresses the insulin and makes my blood sugars higher. The advice here has been great! I have learned a lot. I am curious however with the people who drink, do you ever find that you get more lows the next day? I find that if I drink a lot the night before I typically don't do much skydiving the next day because of the many lows I get. Life doesn't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful!

So if there is no rule stating that I can't smack my kids then it's alright to do it? Not all states have a corporal punishment rule. Like I said before I know whats right and the media very seldom is doing anything right for kids. I am sick of hearing excuses of why the media should get away with what it is doing. If you want people to behave a certain way then you need to model that behavior, not glamorize what we don't want our kids to do. That just makes no sense to me reguardless of what ANY adult wants.
