    So let me get this right. Duane enlisted 6-18-41 because he wanted to get to the war. The war wasnt even declared until December of that same year. Hes kicked out bad conduct later. Reenlists March -31-43 sent to Fort Hayes. 15 days later...not enough time for Basic ,hes sent to Camp Sibert Ala. 5 months later hes married in Michigan. Oct-11-43. Then by Nov 44 hes in Jail again. It seems like Duane was a busy boy but there wasnt time for Airborne school there anywhere. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

    I worked for the state of Nevada for 18 years. Everytime I was promoted or applied for another position within the state system I had to fill out the forms that asked that question.     Rereading this thread brought back an old memory. We were having a boogie at Skydive Mesquite...one of the very first there. I had made friends with a guy at Elsinore that was broke and wanted to come to the boogie. I offered him a place to stay at my home to help offset his costs somewhat. He took me up on it and showed up at the house very late on Friday nite....with his hosebag girlfriend and her three under 5 year old snotnosed kids. One of the kids was really sick with a cold and had no business being out anywhere, Needless to say it wasnt very enjoyable. Still and all I have offered my extra bedrooms out to jumpers many times since. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
