  1. The answer lies in testing, we prove very well what it can do, long term. Also owners must know their vehicle's limitations. That is the hard part. Also, the rear axle can be locked with a switch, to help with getting unstuck. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  2. Many want a multipurpose vehicle-don't want to have to buy 2 or 3. The Acura MDX won SUV of the year and a lot of praise for the ability to tow 5000lbs with excellent stability. 5K isn't as much as your truck, but hardly worthless. It is good for dirt bikes, snowmobiles, quads. You may like bouncing around in a truck such as yours, I would not. Can you drink from an open cup while driving without spilling on yourself? Why so intolerant of those with different desires in a vehicle? edit - your truck is definitely better for pulling C-182's out of fields! 5. Aren't the links part of the H/C? Shouldn't the links have guidelines from the mfg. of the link? The H/C mfg should use their recommendation as a guideline, don't you think? Torque wrenches are used with open end attachments, just takes a little math to adjust the values used, I've seen a torque wrench manual that showed how to do it. Isn't the greater danger from overtightening them and cracking the barrel? Don't you think this is how most of the opened-up link incidents happen? 6. Exactly, it is the tolerance of this racism, by groups that are in very good standing with the Dem party, that is important. To skydivexxl: Of course I don't think all Dems are racist, just that their leadership and many of their supporters/members do not recognize it or admit it when it is from 'one of their own'. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  7. The unibody construction and rear independent suspension contribute to the useful space inside, and is why a Honda CRV has more interior space than a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Gawain, I would expect you to want to row a shifter! You already have the 6MT in the your Acura CL, and it is available in the Accord and Acura TL. This one has a column shifter, like a lot of trucks. Although it is not used to allow a middle passenger in front, like many trucks, it still opens up a lot of useful space normally devoted to the shifter mechanism. The AWD system is also pretty cool. Similar to the Acura MDX and Honda Pilot, Each wheel has clutches controlled by solenoids, so they can individually adjust very quickly to changes in traction. Also, when you accelerate hard, the rear wheels will get more power transferred to them before wheelspin is detected, preventing the spin before it happens. When you are just cruising along, only the front wheels get power so you get better gas mileage. This one really does look good. 8. Republicans hardly had a monopoly on racism in the past. So if old History of a party is so important, then so should the old history of Sen. Byrd. However most people (myself included) want to believe that a person can have a true change of heart. From the article you posted - speaking of Sen Byrd: "old habits are hard to break" So apparently just being willing to confirm Ashcroft is proof of his racism. So much for his 'conscience', apparently validating the attacks against Byrd, it would seem, given that this instance of racism is more recent. 9. The groups that attacked Mr. Williams for being a traitor to his race were groups that are the darlings of the Dem party, not considered by most people, especially liberals, to be "extremist". I'm talking about groups such as the NAACP, Urban League, Rainbow Coalition. 10. "not being true to your race" That is some racist shit! The Liberal, democratic party expects this kind of behavior - towing the racial line. That is why I can see the point of calling the Dems the "party of racial discrimination". They expect a white guy to not agree with them on some political issues, but if a black does the same, they are VERY threatened and threatening to the "traitor". Juan Williams, of NPR and Fox News, was interviewed by Britt Hume about a year ago concerning how he has been attacked at various times in his career by black activist groups for essentially the same thing (not being true to his race). I think Juan Williams is a very brave and honorable liberal, precisely because he had the courage to not always support the position that he was told he should by the NAACP and others. 11. It's a vehicle for people that can't make up their mind what they really want, so they opt for something does a little bit of enerything, yet does nothing very well. A LOT of people buy the Ford Explorer Sport Trac (5 passenger, short bed). This has a much more comfortable ride, with all the power and load carrying ability that most need. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  12. Generic, that hurts! You can't take a dirt bike in an SUV, or a watercraft/jetski, or a snowmobile, or a load of dirt/mulch in an SUV. While an Acura MDX will fit 4x8 sheets in the back, a real pickup bed, even if short, is what a lot of people want. 13. Of course some will not be happy without 6 litres of V-8 power, but it will have the same basic engine as the Acura MDX which has a 270hp 3.5 V-6 It is not meant to take on the full size body on frame trucks, they have that market. The market for this vehicle is different. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 14. Except without all of the ugly cladding on the sides, and without being so big. Is that good? Skygal3, I'm glad to hear that women can appreciate it also. Jimbo, it is true that Honda styling is conservative, but I really think this is a tough looking truck. It has a lot of the typical Honda value in terms of very useful storage features, etc. that we haven't even shown. 15. I had a 5 foot long tear on the center cell - bottom skin of my PD210. PD fixed it (an entire new center cell) for about $150, yours might be a lot cheaper. I still had a nice landing, even loaded at 1.1 with about 200 jumps on it. If the thing still flies well, maybe you should let them give you an estimate. 17. That's right, we have been deceiving you! Designed and engineered in the US, to be built in Ontario. It's a unibody, not a frame on body type of truck, but if a five passenger, short bed, comfortable driving truck that I guarantee will stroke the ego of 99% of guys out there sounds good to you, then wait until the fall of '05 to get one of your own! 20. Was there anything in the forums to let everyone know about their drawing? Was it in Parachutist/Skydiving? If not, the good folks at Aerodyne could sure use some help in the marketing dept. 22. I will check out ski helmets when I get an unbearable urge to replace my trusty 20 year old protec: http://sl.cometsystems.com/r?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.skihelmets.com%2F&qry=ski+helmets&rnk=9&aff=inkt&v=7&origin=asearch&tmpl=0Aen I've looked into helmets for skaters, kayakers, etc. but they don't cover the ears. edit - using the 'helmet finder' there are 80 models from abot 70 to 150 US$ (sure beats the hell out of our skydiving helmet selection). There are 3 different ratings (ASTM, CE-European, and SNELL). This almost certainly means they are much better for protecting your noggin than most of what we use (no standard at all to make any comparison/judgement). 23. Check out (again, from aviation week): http://aviationnow.com/avnow/search/autosuggest.jsp?docid=4890&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aviationnow.com%2Favnow%2Fnews%2Fchannel_maint.jsp%3Fview%3Dstory%26id%3Dnews%2Frntsb0118.xml%3E The center fuel tank had little fuel, and with the air conditioning units underneath the tank operating for a long time while it was on the ground, the fuel was hotter than normal, allowing a low energy ignition source to set it off. This is not the first time that fuel tanks have exploded. Hopefully with the attention this disaster received, and the many changes that will be put in place, it will be the last. 3 rings

The 'loop' type Capewells were called 'shot and a half' style. The '2 shot' style were indeed much worse. Instead of pulling on the wire loop, you had to squeeze a 2-sided plunger (with your thumb and index finger, yes - from both sides) to be able to rotate/actuate the release. At my DZ, rigs with the 2 shot systems were reserved for use with reserves that did not have a pilot chute (since you weren't supposed to cutaway with those reserves). You really had to want to jump to use that junk. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.
