Yes, I worked at the Raymond facility. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Yes, for 10 years. What do you want to know? You're probably considering working for them. Send me a PM and we'll talk. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  3. Are your d-bag's locking stows (or at least the middle ones) broken? Perhaps the canopy dumped out before line stretch, some call it line dump, others call it bag dump. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  4. What is it that is good about being wide? I Especially don't understand wanting it to be so wide at the bottom, limiting ground clearance - the ability to turn. I hadn't heard the term "donor bikes", what is that about? The old school term was "cafe racer". I agree that type of riding position is no good for extended riding. There used to be many sporty bikes that had a traditional riding position, not at all like a cafe racer, not at all like a cruiser. 5. I remember there was an accusation from one girl, after she had an extended relationship with him. Was there more to substantiate that charge? 6. If you are pulling the pin manually while the PC is in tow, then there is definitely something wrong, and going to a pull-out isn't a good way to fix it. How long is your bridle? Is your closing loop really tight? Have you checked how much force it takes to pull the pin, perhaps a few times to get an average? People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  7. Very old Sweethog containers had a similar setup, except the PC was stowed in the backpad, and the handle was a martin baker style ripcord handle (but plastic) placed in the bottom corner of the rig. A coated cable entered the rig through grommets to get to the closing loop - no pin, just the cable served as a pin. The cable wasn't very rigid, so it required an elastic closing loop to avoid hard pulls. 8. Style (bad), and noise. Sometimes I wish I had a massive air horn that I could deploy to physically blow some bikers over. Not only are the bikes stupidly loud, but they blip the throttle needlessly just to enhance it. I seem to have strayed a bit from my original post... 9. Those that ridiculed Pres. Reagan for his comments concerning this subject should apologize. I noticed this quote from the article: Why is it that this ag-scientist thinks that this NZ industry's productivity must not impacted. It is so arrogant for him to so casually assert that, while other industries are expected to absorb great impacts to reduce their contribution to the less important greenhouse gas, CO2. 10. It seems that the position of the footpegs/footboards for the cruiser style bikes is extremely far forward. Doesn't that make it very difficult/impossible to stand up on the pegs? Doesn't it make controlling the bike more difficult if either of the wheels are sliding, whether intentionally during a powerslide, or unintentionally? Highway pegs have been around for a long time, but previously they were a secondary peg location. Now a far forward position is the standard position for many bikes. I put about 30K miles on the streets (plus a lot of dirt bike riding) of Phoenix long ago, and I remember it being very important to be able to put my weight on the pegs in case I had to (or wanted to ) run over a bump/obstacle, or even just a pothole. I would think trying to do that with the pegs so far forward would be more like doing a pull up with your arms than just standing up to put weight on the pegs. Of course the ape-hanger handlebars that some choose for their cruiser bikes make control even more difficult, but I think the lack of control due to the handlebars is already acknowledged. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems that the pursuit of style has gone wrong. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 12. I don't see how you can make that conclusion. Since women are also quite divided on the issue, I don't see why men would be unanimously one way or the other. 13. I agree that the pro-life and choice sides seem to have defined themselves as at the extreme end - life is worth protecting at conception, life is worth protecting at birth. Is there a commonly used term to define those that think it should be allowed only up to a certain point in the development? People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  14. Do you conclude that there should be no laws on such morality issues? Do you think abortion the only such morality issue that should be outside the jurisdiction of the legal system? 15. I think it is about whether, and when, it is a life worth protecting as any other. That protection is granted by law to other lives. I think many want to avoid the tough questions of whether and when it is life until birth, or whether a mother should be allowed the choice to kill it at any time. I think very few would say that abortion should be allowed at any time during the pregnancy for any reason. I think that position is unreasonable, as is the position that it deserves that protection from the moment of conception. The advocates on both sides of the debate don't want to give at all from those unreasonable positions. Back alley abortions will certainly be fewer if abortion at any time is allowed. If, however, at some point it is a life worthy of protection like any other baby outside the womb, then I think the desire to have fewer back alley abortions cannot outweigh that taking of the life. I think the point at which the baby deserves protection is somewhere no later than 2-3 months. 16. What aircraft do they use? Perhaps you'll be lucky and they'll upgrade to something that will be a bit beyond their capacity to fill with tandems, allowing tandems and regulars to jump. I know it is a long shot, but maybe. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 17. When a guy gets divorced after 13 years is no time to be splitting hairs. That was a bit insensitive. Whether it is or not is not important, but you don't know. Any activity that draws you away from your spouse so much can definitely cause major problems. Perhaps because he loved his ex-wife more than skydiving. I can understand taking a long break. Anybody can come back to skydiving after 'giving it up' to work on their relationship. Sounds like his priorities were right. You can't just come back to a marriage, you can't just buy new nylon and come back like you can jumping. I understand that a lot of men celebrate their divorce, but not all. I recently divorced after 14 years, and I hate it. It sucks. There are plenty of opportunities for snappy wit and smart ass comments on this forum. I think those are better left out of this thread. 18. The ordinary pro-life citizen doesn't have to show their disgust for the actions of christian facists because the authorities agressively pursue and prosecute them. The federal authorities are led by a pro-lifer. A typical response is that actions of islamo facists are strongly condemned for the benefit of the western media, but there is nothing done to the group doing the actions - a totally meaningless condemnation. BIG difference I think. I think it was absolutely fantastic that Bush had the balls to use the term Islamo facist. I think it fits perfectly, as Christian facist applies to abortion clinic bombers/doctor assasins. The big difference is the response to the actions from the responsible authorities. 19. I don't pretend that this site is neutral, but please don't refute it just by calling it biased: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/myths/mf14.html Doing the same thing? What a load of crap! Respecting borders? It was the Arabs that decided they couldn't live with the result of the UN decision, basically another result of WWII. They promised to not respect the decision/borders. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 20. Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, and cut it with a torch. In Canada, pizza sizes are still inches, TV sizes are still inches. This is evidence of the metric system's inferiority. I cannot understand why they measure a car's gas mileage as the inverse ratio of what we do in the US (liters/km instead of kilometers/liter as we do miles/gallon). Does Europe do that also? 21. Could you expand on this? Because Brian Germain (in his book), Scott Miller (canopy course) and several instructors that I've spoken to say the exact opposite... "full glide until you're ready to flare" Sometimes accuracy is very important to prevent hitting something. Sometime you find yourself needing to be very precise, even possibly needing to sink your canopy down vertically due to the need to avoid trees and power lines or whatever that surround your only good landing spot. 22. Actually it wasn't a very good deal for the PA. Have you seen the proposed map? The "Palestinian state" basically was comprised of four separate reservations (my word) with access controlled by Israel. I didn't think that proposal ever actually got out for public viewing. Perhaps you're thinking of later proposals. I've heard extensive interviews of Dennis Ross, the chief US representative during the negotiations. He does not seem to be an idealog at all, and his detailed accounting of what happened left no room for doubt that Arafat didn't really want a peace that included the survival of Israel. 23. Well, that is a snappy one liner, you might as well say that 1 doesn't equal 2. Don't you have anything more substantial to contribute to the discussion? Of course we're not going to actually solve anything here. We're just ordinary blokes arguing on the internet, but sometimes I learn something, or gain a newfound respect for a different perspective. This is still a world where the use of violent force to achieve political objectives is the reality. The national boundaries of the entire world are subject to the results of armed conflict. Sometimes a more peaceful approach happens, but not too often. I give Clinton a lot of credit for brokering the deal that Arafat rejected against the advice of his own negotiators, and it was a very good deal indeed for the PA. Arafat didn't want a peace that left Israel still there. It would seem that the enemies of Israel only want the result of a war to persist if that result is in their favor. When they lose, they expect a negotiation to give them the result they sought by war. That isn't the way it works. 24. That's the funniest thing I've heard in a while. Good one. What part of the world that matters hasn't had control determined by the winner of a war? 25. Quite right! Not only were the attacks out of the PA's control, but Israel was expected to negotiate with the PA regardless, despite their inability to control it.
