    Cat in da WT?

I'll steal the pattern and modify it to be a proper catafly suit. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  4. You can make a kick ass website like crashtested did. Javelins used to take 1 1/2 years to receive, how long did yours take? Stick with the Infinity, or even Microns, Voodoos and Mirage and you'll be happy. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  5. My experience level in this category is not low. Take my suggestions however you choose. The rig in perfect condition is not suitable for freeflying. Good luck. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  6. I have thought about this alot of times. Do you know if i can get my cypress 2 changed by the manufactor? No you can not. You have the option to manually set it before each jump to a different altitude. It's designed that way in case the take off point and landing zone are at different altitudes. Remember though, every jump. Not just once in the morning. If you truly want it to fire higher, set the *landing zone* higher. Read the manual. Learn how it works. 8. Let's see. Most of these would seem obvious but you simply don't know. I will not swim with the seals at seal island. I won't skydive without a parachute. I will not basejump without a parachute. I won't wrap my fists with resin covered cloth, dip them in crushed glass and have a fist fight. I will not piss off Chuck Norris. I will not swim with the polar bears at the zoo. I won't pester the tigers I will not taunt Happy Fun Ball. There is much I won't do out of circumstance rather than desire so I won't list them. An example of that would be ==> This person (potentially not safe for work) That is a short list ... I can think of many things I won't do just because it will never happen. If I'm physically capable, I'll try most things if it's not simply stupid to try it. Stupid is subjective on somethings but lets just say, skydiving isn't exactly hard to do, the thought of it is just scary to most folks. 9. What do you want to know about the canopy? It's a dangerous parachute and will collapse if you pull down on the front risers. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  10. You get a major thumbs up for that one. I'm also impressed at how humble your rig presentation was. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  16. If you're not going to use pads, then you're screwed. I just cut out a rectangle piece of foam with a cut out for the body parts you don't want to smash and it helped a lot. I put it in my pants. It looked a little funny but who cares. Also, ask an instructor or someone to put a jump on that gear. If they won't jump it, then you know it's really uncomfortable or opens too fast. Something needs to be modified. I'd jump any of our student gear without question. It won't be the best fit but it's not going to hurt me. Packing can be a problem as well, if the skymaster is packed for a fast opening, it will hurt you. Again, ask if an instructor will put a jump on the gear. I was a student once. The gear was ok, but the canopies opened REAL fast. Certain packers did not know how to slow a Raven down, others did. They open quick but they don' thave to slam you. I thought it was normal but overhearing the instructor say "His canopy slammed the shit out of him" I knew it wasn't normal. Anyway, Foam padding in the pants works. Slower opening canopy helps. Asking other people to jump it so they have a clue what they put students through helps also. Have a padded sleeve to go around the leg strap. Skydiving shouldn't injure you on opening, even as a student. Good luck My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

And everybody had better damned well say so. I couldn't resist Honestly though, That is an awesome picture of you, and the hat is pretty nifty! 20. I don't recall when PRO was actually introduced into the reserve packing manuals. Look on this page Manuals This PD reserve manual specifically ==> Reserve Owners Manual. Look on page 38. That method was originally the only method. Why: Symmetry. Bulk management, When: Riggers were PRO packing reserves before the manuals printed the method or added supplemental instructions. I do not recall when it was a method specifically outlined by the manufacturers but I do not recall seeing any PRO instructions in the early 90s. 21. Good question. He does mean a true flat or stack pack. A PRO pack regardless of how you get to that configuration is a PRO pack. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  22. Well I didn't want some young jumper putting 30 pounds in their helmet on account of your post. That would be simple negligence on your part. 23. It may be unusual and entertaining to you but I am in real pain here. Yes my stories may seem a bit out there but I started jumping in an environmnent that is very different than what the yuppie jumpers of the 90s and the last few years are used to. All I hope to do by posting my experiences is to share with newer jumpers and hopefully encourage them to be safety consious like me. Nipple Boy A-19820 I understand your concern and us yuppie jumpers that started in 1990 exactly really appreciate it. I live 20 minutes from Berkeley so it's more like hippie than yuppie... wait I grew up in Montana so I think that's sheep fu... fa.. um, Oh nuts, it's definitely sheep something but I forget what exactly. Thank you again. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
