  3. Unless the very bottom of the container is boxed in a little bit, I don't see an issue with grommet to pin either. (it's a Mirage G-4 by the way). I also don't see it as a fix if the bag is going in square and coming out square. What I don't get is your comment about wingloading. As long as the slider is up all the way when the canopy is bagged, Body position and helping the canopy open is usually the primary cause of odd openings. 4. The same thing happened to me when I tried to proclaim my LV for The World And Teachers. I'm not a teacher but I work at a school so what's the harm? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  5. nah .... text doesn't come out so enthusiastic as intended. Note how I read yours? I'm glad I'm not dead too. The owner of the rig I borrowed would have probably been out a perfectly good container. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  6. I watched you do that. Nice landing. I'm the guy that got crashed into on the tube dive. The new colors on my arm are coming along nicely. Yeah, geez, he just barely missed ME too! Looking at the clip, it seems you SHOULD have a hefty bruise ] Well, yeah it's colorful alright. You don't need to post this ... would you mind removing the link? The guy who hit me and I already talked about this. spence, or would you prefer Captain Obvious? I haven't jumped there in a long time. This was my first jump there in a few years. The guy who hit me realizes his skill is not quite what he thought it was and I realize his skill isn't quite what he thought it was either. What's done is done. We got away with it and some people are a bit wiser than they were a few days ago. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  9. Since you replied to my post, was that directed at me? If it was, shall I post a picture to show you know why I think it's funny? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  10. That's funny! One our dear friends "loves to cook for the boys" (her words). We love it too. I don't get to partake very often due to distance but I sure lucked out Easter Sunday. My job that day. "Cut all that stuff and put all that stuff in that big pot. *done* Now go away"
  11. I have a massage chair and I can cook really well.... I'm absolutely positive the chair does not do a better job than I would.

  13. Are you trying to coin a new label? What's a jump jockey? Oh and congratulations on the 200 jumps and the fabricated rest of the story My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  14. I have one with over 3000 on it now. I've had it since it was new. It's pretty much due for yet another reline but amazingly enough, the canopy is still sound. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  16. I began doing standups, layouts, and spins all under 20 jumps. By jump 20, I could do standups and hold them. Layout flips were loads of fun and helped teach not only to have fun, but how to control my body. What I was doing is freestyle, not freeflying. if you want to learn to be in control of being out of control, and be comfortable with it, a simple sit position isn't going to do it. Go out and do some flips. Stand up, spin the stand up, do back layouts (not just one, do 4, 5, however many you feel like, all in a row without stopping. Stand up straddle, stand up daffy, stand on 1 foot, spin it ... etc. Many people believe a sit position is freeflying. It's just another position. What you do with that position can be part of freeflying. Your buddy didn't know what to do. He wanted to sit so he tried it. Rather than stop and start again, he kept fighting it. What happened at 5000 feet when he stopped? Did he flatten out and try to turn over from a turn? A quick stop on the side will cause rapid turns. He was never in control of the skydive so flipping to belly from out of control didn't help Nonetheless, stop trying to hold a position for a whole skydive and do something. RW skills are good and also a good start. If you really want to be a loner at first instead, then do freestyle or hire a coach... or just flail as proven by this thread. Good luck My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  17. I currently have 2 bikes and at the moment I won't be taking either one to the track anytime soon ... [insert sad face here] 2007 R6s 2004 CBR1000rr The picture at the bottom is the only decent track shot I have. That was my first track day on a stock 2003 SV650s. I definitely should have kept that one and tricked it out. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  18. Alex. 450 is a mighty steep price for a harness rebuild. Would you mind filling in what type of rig and where you're sending it for a harness? Why does it need to be replaced? Edit: What is the reserve? 1990 isn't exactly new but there were some very good reserves made in 90. Depending on what it is, If it passes porosity and strength tests, there may be no reason to replace it. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  20. I'm an instructor. I love getting tips and all but honestly, I'd rather a student who is continuing to skydive to just keep skydiving. You bring me a beer, I'll do the same for you another time. Remember this and pass it on sometime. The difference between me as an instructor and you as a student is time. Good luck!
