Yeah, alcohol seems to have that affect on me. Interesting, I love Pacifica this time of year. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

damn... ok it's in the mail. I didn't realize you were in sweden so calling them is a bit more of a task. They're often offered free and as promotion. I have no idea what the deal is with the cord in that link but it's probably similar. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Yep. Piece of cake :) If I did a LOT of them then sure, i'd opt for something a little easier... maybe but i don't have issue with it. Also, all but a handful of jumpers ever fully submerge themselves into deep water, especially on purpose. That reminds me, I was part of a swoop in to a river demo for a bunch of boater folks. After I stopped, the dumbass steroid freaks on the boat I landed near, said how badass that was and handed me a beer. I still had toggles in my hands treading water. "Yeah man it was awesome!!!! (must feign excitment for the crowd) Thanks for the beer bro, perhaps you can hold onto that until my feet are back on the dock" :) ... [Smile, thumbs up] Oh... huh huh... anyone ride a motorcyle been hit with a lit cigarette?
hookitt replied to loumeinhart's topic in The Bonfire
So you do believe it's ok to drop stuff on the road in a legal sense? You're wrong about that if you do. I hear about this suggestion all the time. I'm well aware of how to get bearings on the road. I'm an avid rider and have simply gotten over it. My rage is pretty low, my attention on a bike is pretty high. You better have it dialed because the bearing is going elsewhere after it hits the car, if it hits it at all. It's still intentional and if caught the person who intentionally dropped the object is liable. (good luck catching someone doing it though) Don't get me wrong, dumb drivers still piss me off but I am a driver first, motorcycle rider second. Believing stupid people are going to be less stupid is... how you say... stupid. Get over it and just don't be where they are for long. I've got better things to do than deal with road ragers, dumb drivers, including tailgaters. Also realized riders are often self glorified and feel more worthy of being on the road, cuz they are after all, motorcycle riders. That's a lot like a skydiver being more important than a non-skydiver. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto -
With all that gear on, boots, leather and armor, there is no feedback from the air. You can't feel it on your legs at all and just a little on the arms. It was very weird flying with that on. ficus (also his username) took that picture. I felt pretty safe landing My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

hookitt replied to loumeinhart's topic in The Bonfire
Nope, they are not responsible for objects coming from the road. The same reason a dump truck does not have to pay for the windshield of a car that was following too close. I must quote this. Let's say you throw a rock or bearing into someones windshield. Where did the rock come from? Yes that's rhetorical but you're not an idiot as best I can tell. The breaking of the window was a deliberate and unsafe action. I don't like tailgaters in my truck let alone my moto, but tossing a rock or bearings are dangerous. PS, Rolls of pennies are easier to explain than a pocket of bearings. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto -

Good luck . I won't do that even on my 1000rr. seldom do I bother attempting to confront idiot drivers. I just leave the area they are in. Many car drivers simply have no clue past their own windows. I gave up caring about them. You'll be a happier person if you just ride your ride regardless of the situation. Regardless of fault, cars win over bikes so don't let it ruin your day, just get away from where they are and move along with your day. I bet you can find that exact model of the pull-up cords here: ==>http://uptvector.com My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

This is not intended to sound condescending. It might read that way to some, so my apologies if it does. Chest straps are easily misrouted which means they're easily routed correctly too. Climbers check that their webbing is doubled back. (slightly different but close enough for a proper comparison) Skydivers should too and not doing so is extremely complacent. It's so simple that it should never be misrouted yet they are. I always, and I do mean always, check mine multiple times. I always look at everyone else's I can see. I have a very casual appearance when it comes to jumping however, it's due to the fact I am 100% certain my gear is fastened to my body. There are 3 thread through type pieces of hardware. 2 leg straps, 1 chest strap. Check them every single time you put on your rig and then do it again before getting on the plane. chances are you should be doing it again before leaving the plane. Check your hardware, check your handles. 6 points total to check on a very simple piece of equipment. 2 leg straps, 1 chest strap, Main handle, cutaway handle, then reserve handle. When you get up to exit the plane, check your main hand one more time so you know it's in place and reachable before exiting. So the short version, I don't think the chest strap fastener needs fixing. Just have a long enough chest strap and fasten it :) My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... If you're actually serious, fix your toggles. Soft toggles and thin lines will cause hang ups. knucklehead. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto -
That could be great for tandems. Nice idea especially for a new rigger. The risers are uneven My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

The actual job will take about 2 hours. It's a matter of when those 2 hours can be dedicated to your rig. Call that number and see. Also get it there as soon as you can so you get it back. I've had both really good and really bad luck with sunpath so you won't get a good time estimate. Good luck My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

What's a Rool Call? I have no Idea yet if I'll make it but if I'm back from Idaho, I'll probably be there. I hear there's freefly coaching? How easy is head down? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto -

It's not that cut and dry. Don't disregard body position. While I can fly in the low 100's (I don't know how slow exactly with standard non winged gear) I can also go well over 200. (that's head down of course) A high drag suit will still allow you to fall at a high rate of speed however if you change your body position to allow for the drag to come into play, then your speed will be much slower. If I'm in a tuck at 150 MPH on my 1000rr and pull the clutch and coast, I slow down right? Do the same thing but sit up to allow the drag of my body to help slow down the bike and it slows you down MUCH faster. Same thing basically. +1 means the yoke is 1 inch longer on each end. The 3 ring will be 1 inch farther over the shoulder. Make sense? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Here is a very simplified break down. Suits are protection based, and performance based. Protection: -You can slide on them and not get your clothes dirty. (think light textile... no armor) - Your handles will not be covered up by an untucked shirt. Performance - Fall rate control ----* Tight to go faster (Less wind resistant) ----* Tight for precision control -Loose for more drag, (range to go slower if needed or if you're heavy ) Booties, precision turns Grippers = handles to grab while doing formation skydiving. There is more to it but that's the readers digest condensed version. Hope that helps. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

haha... Ok, just for the hell of it, I have to reply to this. Firstly and sincerly, congratulations on making your first tandem. Moto helmets are rated rated for specific impact resistance not a 140 mile per hour impact. An Alpinestar racing suit would really suck to skydive in. The speed hump on that particular model would cause a fitting problem for the rig. Raising your arms to reach the toggles would be almost impossible too. You'd over heat in that thing waiting around and riding in the plane. He is right though, your liquified body would be contained rather well if you landed at 120 mph. Your head would be fine though since the helmet is rated for 140. It would be great for a picture but not much more. You can skydive in shorts and a t-shirt and not be a squid so chances are you'll get away with something much lighter Ok no more serious replies from me My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... PDF's new website www.parachutedefrance.com i'm a very bad person
hookitt replied to crashtested's topic in Gear and Rigging
I just finally read this thread and kept thinking, I'd jump with crash anytime. He's a bit over the top about an apology but his work here is probably going to cause pdf to improve a little (or not but hopefully it will) . Bigway, there is no permanent record... people will forget this ever happened. Look at Javelin years back. Sunpath had almost a 2 year lead time. It's all forgotten. I kept reading down and found my self cracking up at Airtwardo's post. He said everything I was thinking about . What a great post. Funny and truthful. The line about making a person is golden. About the audio on the site. Upper right. Click it, and the sound is off. The beeps are still there but the music is gone. Interesting work.
