You never could on these forums... Post views (and thread views) are not stored in the forum database (Post) tables. Because of that, an index cannot be used and so the resulting query would be extremely slow. The post/thread views had to be moved to a separate table for a major speedup - every time someone viewed a post, it had to update the table. If someone also tried a search, things could get backed up and clog up the server, since MySQL locks the entire table to update a row. Obviously not impossible to do, just slow in mySQL (postgresql wouldn't have this problem), so the optimization remains. Safe swoops Sangiro

Can you still see the first icon in your profile detail page? If so you need to check the radio button next to that icon to choose it for display. If it's not there anymore you'll need to upload it again.... Safe swoops Sangiro -

This is because of the way users are currently being managed. You can create a Dropzone.com Porfile (when you register) but your forum profile will only be activated - automatically - when you visit the forums the first time. This is also why you see the forum users still showing under 10,000 but if you search the skydivers database there are more than 10,300 users... Yup - There are probably a few other links that are pointing the wrong way as well... will get to those when the time is available. -

A lot of people have not updated their forum profiles to include a valid email address. If you ask to be notified of a new reply to your post and your email address is not valid you obviously will not receive the email. You need to update this to receive notifications of posts to forums, new PM messages or to subscribe to a forum and receive a daily digest of new posts. The server receives quite a high volume of emails to the address invalid@email.address which is the default. If you haven't set yours up yet, follow the Edit Profile link at the top of any forum page, click on the User Profile link and update your email address. Safe swoops Sangiro
