Tom, I like the team idea... These forums have functionality that would allow me to implement that pretty easily. Let me think about that one a bit. The ratings sounds like a good idea in principle... my only concern is that people abuse this. We have a much larger community here than BLINC. It's already quite a job to moderate all the Gear and Dropzone reviews for malicious posts. This may end up being a lot of work for me with not much ROI for you guys. Safe swoops Sangiro

Knowing your name and credibility I came to this thread and got exactly what I expected. I think you'll find that some of us were on rec.skydiving long before most people came around to the net and have subsequently formed our own opinions about your style. Heya all, The forums has become increasingly popular and I'd like to pass some of that on to the people who support Dropzone.com. Click on "Skydivers" on the main page, then click on "Power Search" on the next page. Type in the name of the DZ in the "Home Dropzone" field and hit Search. Safe swoops Sangiro

I've installed a weather service on Dropzone.com. When you get to the page, click on the "Set Options" link, set your default location and that'll always come up when you visit the page in the future. It'll serve US and Canadian visitors the best but has quite and extensive database of international locations as well. Search for your location by name, zip code or ICAC code. Feedback welcome and post bugs to the bugs forum!

SBS, Maybe I just don't get it now. I don't think Scratch threw any insults. I think he made a general observation which I tend to agree with. There are people on these forums who provoke others and then step back and claim the protection of the rules when it all goes south. There are also people on these boards who don't know when to stop.... I would seriously consider allowing this thread to die before we have another thread about why this one has been locked. When a thread is locked the moderators are saying: "Ok, this conversation is over, let's move on and talk about something else." Just reopening a thread will in future simply get it deleted.
