Heya all, I've activated the subscription service for the Dropzone.com forums. When you subscribe to a forum you will receive a daily email with the last 10 posts to that forum - if there has been any new posts. This may not be very effective for a forum like Talk Back but for it's a great tool to track some of the less active forums that you have an interest in. For example, subscribe to the Announcements forum and you'll always be up to date on new changes on the site.

To read the to post about Rules and Forum etiquette. If you actually did that you would have seen there's one that says "Search before you ask" If you did that you would not have had to ask about the date on the Announcements forum as I've answered that question several timers before.... I guess it's time for you to go back to the Announcements forum... Safe swoops Sangiro

No, no... he was onto something.. I updated the forums to the latest version earlier today and it added in a default ranking at 500 also called "enthusiast" - so yes, there was 2 groups for a short while. I fixed that just now. There was actually also a "novice" set at 5 posts! Removed that one... PS, Geronimo is #10... Safe swoops Sangiro

Should be fixed now. I know how to fix this but unfortunately don't know what causes it yet. It'll happen from time to time. The whole mail application will be upgraded in the near future. Safe swoops Sangiro

Brandon, Thanks for the offer! I've actually done a bit of reading about overlay technologies and found a little $39 shareware application (SnagIt) that serves my purpose. I'm not into video editing (yet) and really just needs something small that can grab me a thumbnail from wmv.

Unlikely to shut them down, and there are much easier ways to do that! But why would you want to do it anyway? Wouldn't it make more sense for those in the know to keep it up and check who visits? From where I stand this site will not be a vehicle to link to their cause, (one link is one too many). I also have no particular desire to have my IP show up repetitively as a "referrer" on everyone's logs who just happens to be monitoring that site. Safe swoops Sangiro

I was wondering when these would surface. I remember when Nippleboy was out of control... He was funny. After that the new breed of rec.skydiving "funny" was actually just annoying. I think we have some people on here as well who confuse annoying with funny. I'd much rather have his kind of humor. I guess it can't really be copied. It has to come naturally.
