Wow, awesome! Ain't that the truth! That's a great picture ... says a lot. I had to stop going thru all my pictures, there's hundreds, lol ... I figure once I get bored of this one, I'll start again. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Thanks for the words ... I've been in Daytona Beach for almost 4 years now, and have made many friends. The problem isn't the going out part or anything ... it's more of having REAL friends, not just a lot of people to party with. I've come to learn over my years here that I really can't rely on anyone here to help me when I really need it. I've been let down by my friends a few times when I think they should've been there for me. I'm always there for them ... always when they need it. I'm using skydiving to escape the world I'm trapped in right now ... but ironically what I'm physically doing is diving right back into it! You can't ever escape reality ... that's life. The only other option is to not pull .. that only leads to death. I am in no way near wanting to go down that route .. I have a long fulfilling enjoyable life ahead of me, so I guess I'll just keep on pulling ... coming back to this reality of life. Funny ... I've never really ever been able to write about things or even express feelings. Guess the mostly anonominity of this board helps let this stuff out. Thanks for listening Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I don't know ... I was looking thru my old collection of pictures on my old hard drive ... Then I came across this one, and WHAM ... the damn thing just hit me! I don't know why, it was weird. I wrote a few things down right when I saw it ... right off the top of my head. I tried to explain to myself what I saw in this picture. If you haven't opened the picture yet, do it now, and think of what you see ... then read this: "alone, in the great big dark ocean of life ... an angel, perked up on what little support i have in my life ... the silver lining i'm looking for and dreaming about ... wow ... gazing up at the stars ... remembering a dream i once had, but have since fallen from ..." I'm guessing these are just feelings I've been having the last few days. I've just been thinking about how much I miss South Florida because of the real friendships I have down there. Everyone seems to be flakey here ... just acquaintances. Maybe it's because I haven't had time to head out to the DZ in a month (when I was used to going pretty much 6-7 days a week). I always used the dropzone to get away from this city and enjoy my life, like I did in Fort Lauderdale. I dunno ... I don't even know why I'm posting this ... guess I was bored, and had this stuff all bottled up and felt like letting some out. I'm really normally a really happy cheery person, just in one of those few down stages you get in life. I'm sure I'll be outta this soon enough, you always do. Anyways, thanks for taking the time ... Blue Skies For Ever! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Yea, I was really shocked and amazed as I was walking to class this morning and saw these weird rain drops that were floating down ... what the hell is that? Pollen? Peices of paper? Eh?! OOOHHHH, it's SNOW! I haven't seen snow since in over 10 years ... I remember the one time it barely flurried in Fort Lauderdale ... that was in the mid-late 80s. I'm freezing up here in Daytona and am still amazed that it actually snowed .... crazy ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I don't know any construction worker that only makes 19/year ... those guys work hard, but also make good money. Especially if you've been in it for a while, like this dude. Don't think I'll comment on the guy other than the fact that his hair was retarded. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Way to go Sam!!! That's awesome ... great to hear such good news! :) I'm happy for her and it's nice to see her involved in both cancer reasearch and skydiving! She'll be in the air soon enough!! Good on her, again ... that's awesome! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I've got a PD126 .. It was a Sunday when I had my ride on it ... that Monday I was scheduled to pick up a PD126 from PD to demo for 2 weeks to see how my reserve flew so I'd be ready for one when I needed it ... well, I canceled the demo ... stood my landing just fine. Fun ride, but I'd rather not have one again anytime soon:) Edited to add: Oh yea, I did like that reserve and am happy with it's performance and size and everything. I'm only loading it 1.2:1. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Thanks ya'll:) Now I'm enlightened! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Okay ... I feel like the little kid that gets left when picking teams for dodgeball ... what does BSBD stand for? I've asked a couple of other DZ.comers but no one I've asked knows ... can someone please enlighten those of us that are clueless and also those who haven't the courage to ask, hehe. Only thing my imagination can come up with is Be Safe or Be Dead .. I dunno. Thanks! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Here's a link ... the beginning talks about landing a wingsuit, but it goes into landing a bigway, lol ... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=199822;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

It's already been talked about on the forums somehwere ... it would take like 200 people, but everyone would need to be so close that no air would come in .. and even then, it probably wouldn't work ... too unstable ... it'd be cool tho:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

1:8:2 1 brand new canopy (which I haven't hooked up yet):8 AWESOME jumps (one from 18000'):2 cases of beer for my new canopy and for goin past 15500' for the first time. Can't wait to try my new canopy! I actually don't have the jump money now since I paid it off! My rent check is going to bounce, so I begged the owner of the house to not cash the check yet, lol. Now I gotta collect money owed to me by people so I can pay for rent and try and do a jump on my new canopy! You're not a skydiver until you use your rent money to pay for your habit, LOL. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Essentially you're doing the same thing as a psycho pack because you're putting all the material over the nose. Now the only difference is the fact that you're still s-folding instead of rolling (and 180 part). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

LOL, my car's worth about the same price as my reserve ... but that's the cash value ... my reserve is priceless when it's being used! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
-
I always flake REALLY neatly and am picky about that ... and I am consistant with that part either psycho or pro packing ... the fact that I'm folding the tail over the nose twice is what slows it down ... yes, it is just simply a different way of putting it in the bag, but it slows the opening as well. If you do everything identical up to the part where you put the canopy on the ground then you should have a slower opening. PS - Scott Miller from PD rags on me every time he sees me packing, lol ... ah well, it's all in good fun. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Uh, I beg to differ, Dave. I actually get softer (even tho the Sabre2 already opens soft!) openings and slower. Because the tail folds over itself, it takes a tad longer for it to open. My openings have been softer and on heading consistantly. I've compared my psychopack openings to other packers' pro-packs and haven't found a packer (even the best ones!) pack em as soft and slow as when I psycho pack. Also, the headings haven't been as consistant (but that can be from body postion, that's not concrete, however I get more consistantly on heading openings with the psychopack whether or not it's a body postion coincidence). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
-
Yea, Dave's right ... a good pro-packer won't need to psycho pack. I just suck as a packer in general, so it makes it easy for me to psycho pack. I can pro pack and I do know how to control the canopy while pro packing and get the job done, but it just takes me a lil longer ... more practice makes it better, but there are other reasons why I psycho pack anyways (like the openings). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Damn, didn't even know UF had a college team .. didn't even know there was a DZ right near by either ... that boogie ends the day before my birthday, may be something fun to do ... goin to look into it now, thanks for the info!:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Just like others have said ... try the psycho pack. I psycho pack my Sabre2 religiously and have a brand new one coming in about 2 weeks which I DEFINATELY will be psycho packing. It's easier to get in the bag, ESPECIALLY for new canopies .. and it's a lot neater:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
