  1. Awe, poor kitty! At least something's got a use for that RW suit:) I personally don't own one, but then again, I don't own a kitty to hump it anyways! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  2. OH YEA! I buy that Victorias Secret stuff for my lady friends all the time!! They took it off the shelves for a while and I was sooo disappointed, but they finally brought it back this January!! I'm so happy! I think VC makes some damn good vanilla scent!:) As far as the post about burning candles ... my room and my car both smell like vanilla, and my bathroom, living room, etc ... I can't get enough of it. Thing is the scents around the house aren't too strong Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  3. Baby, you can smell me anytime, hehehe ... never leave home without it! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  4. Very true, Billvon ... very good point!:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  5. I think the thing that really makes my knees weak (literally too) is the scent of Vanilla! Whether it be her lotion or some kind of spray or perfume or WHATEVER ... I love the smell of vanilla on a girl, ugh, I want to smell some now, but don't know of too many that wear it around nowadays ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  6. I wear Acqua Di Gio ... I usually get a lot of compliments (even in smelly smoke filled bars and clubs, amazes me!) ... hats of to Armani for a great scent:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  7. Well, the way I think of it is I generally almost never ever touch anything until the slider drops to my head anyways, so why look up if you're not goin to touch anything? You should let the canopy fly itself however it wants until the slider drops (if the slider takes a while to drop, you'll notice because there's something really wrong and you'd look up). Generally, however, you should just try staring at the horizon, feet and knees together and let the canopy open itself. You will see a tremendous difference as far as on-heading openings go!!! Sometimes it feels like it's going off heading, but then just corrects itself and goes straight on. Ever since I started lookin at the horizon instead of up, it's been great. I've had a cutaway while just lookin at the horizon and I knew I had a major problem before I looked up anyways ... no need to look up, you'll know when you have to! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  8. Nice, thanks Ray! Where were you 2 weeks ago when I had just changed my loop? Would've gotten the tandem, oh well, I'll wait until next change ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  9. I'm a fan of Goodfellas and Reservior Dogs ... lots of other good ones too, but old ones I like are those 2:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  10. LOL ... I love that movie and that sig line in context is great in that movie:) Hehe, makes me laugh every time! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  11. Hmm ... I just changed mine about 3 weeks ago ... I just change it when it needs to be changed! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  12. Hmm, it's not always about being conservative ... think about having to land in someone's back yard where you only have 10 or less meters to land in and everything else is a hazard ... You gotta know how to fully handle your canopy under MANY various conitions (be it wind, spot, landing downwind/crosswind, etc) ... downsizing before feeling confident in lots of conditions to me is hazardous to your health, but like I said, you're responsible for yourself so you gotta make your choice:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  13. Hmmm ... I'm only at 1.15:1 and will probably stay at that loading for another 5-600 jumps. There's a LOT you can do with your canopy to make it fun and learn a TON before you even need to downsize. I just got this new size not too long ago (40 jumps or so) and I'm lovin it but will take a while before I learn the full extent of this baby! I believe downsizing is up to you, people can tell you anything they want, but YOU are ultimately responsible for yourself. If you feel like you know everything you can know about the size you're on, go ahead and downsize. If you have doubts, hesitations, or know you can't handle the speed, why do it?!?? Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  14. 16 here ... maybe I need to sleep with a fellow skydiver to up my points! hehehe, any volunteers?? lol ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

    How in the ... ??

I just downloaded and watched the video called GoodbyePC1 from the misc section of the skydivingmovies ftp site ... Basically, it shows a riser slap taking the camera off and you see the camera in freefall. What I wanna know is how in the world did he get the tape back? Only guess is he found the "wreckage" and the tape was somehow still in tact! Pretty funny tho ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  19. This is direct from PT manual: "All speeds are calculated from 15 seconds after exit to 7 seconds before deployment." Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  20. Hmm ... I'd talk to Scott again ... The info I've posted actually came from canopy courses I took with him. There are situations, even with the Velocity, where brakes fly better than risers (no-light winds). That's what I got from him anyways. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  21. Wish I was in that 10% Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  22. I agree with the above .. chop. Unless you're super experienced and have had a number of lineovers or something to that degree, chop and don't waste valuable time. What's the cost to fix a cut line anyways? Would it be about the same to get a reserve repack anyways??? Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  23. A good start is to pull on both front risers on final so you can get some speed build up and release before flare and flare. This way you can start getting the feel of what it's like seeing the ground rush at ya faster (can't get that practicing at altitude). The timing on release and flare depend on how much you pull down, the type of canopy, wing loading, etc. You can practice this one without too much risk. Once you get used to the faster dive with both front risers, start doing a small 45 degree turn, not even 90 yet. Feel how that is and work your way to 90 and more degrees. Stay on double front risers for a while until you're used to it and know how the canopy planes out. These are just tips, take em as you see fit:) And yea, you're talking about PNF (Patrick No Flare) .. most people who are experienced with front riser turns can get themselves out of low turn situations by stabbing out with the brakes, but that comes with experience. He didn't have enough experience to realize what was going on when he frapped it in. (My opinion anyways). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  24. We were open at about the same altitude ... the second occasion, however, yea, he was high. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  25. That's how we do it ... but thanks for the tips. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
