This forum is to report and talk about the technical aspects of skydiving/aviation related accidents. Thank-you for offering a very informative and correct insight into this incident. I know nothing about the actual accident, but can only offer condolences to ALL involved. THANK-YOU !! P.S. I think everything you stated in your post is relevant to this accident/post. He actually end up with a refrigerator size rock in the nose of his canopy that falls out at the last second. The "falling out" of the boulder turns his canopy around and sets him free. The jumper landed in the center of the landing area with a sprang ankle and dislocated big toe. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

Avery and Damian ..... ILLLLLLLL I personally consider that object to be the most technical (in all regards) that I have personally jumped. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

I started jumping a vengeance 120 at 150 WS jumps. I went to a Sam 120,105, then to a 97. All of my WS jumps went fine 150-250. After I started flying larger wing-suits, I managed 3 cutaways in 2 months. I also watched Skymonkey have a hell of a time on his cobalt. I have watched the most meticulous of pack jobs go into the"correct" WS BASE container open up with line twist. I have seen friends open up in hell and almost hit objects(yes I know the idea of a wingsuit in BASE is to get as far away from the object as possible. ) I personally now jump a sabre2 95 with my WS. I actually threw my old Spectre 135 into one of my rigs, and have been using it to fly my new V-1. I would agree with Chuck. Ellipticals are fun, sexy, and very apt to bite you in the ass. I would only suggest flying one as a dedicated WS rig if you have a spare rig or two lying around for after-da-chop. Just my .02 Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

My you have large wings ;) . The POWER THE POWER !!!!!!! It's almost too much........... I've only put about 12 jumps on mine so far......... but I like !!!!!!!!!! Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

I am going underneath my wing and reaching up and over to reach my skydiving container. I have a Javelin RSK (small rig) that puts my p.c. pretty far up my back. It feels a ton better with my WS Morpheus rig though. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

I saw this a year ago at the IMAX in Vegas. It is the most incredible documentary I have ever seen image-wise. My hats off to Mario and his crew for really doing it right. This film really has not just incredible BASE footage from Norway, but some pretty amazing free-flying by Rook and the gang. Amazing what it looks like with a real deal IMAX camera. I rented this DVD from Netflix, but am sure it's available everywhere now. Enjoy......................................................... Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

I must say that my V-1 is the nicest piece of skydiving/BASE gear that I own. I am so impressed with the fit and feel of my suit.... it's amazing. As far as flights, I can barely fly it 3 or 4 jumps before I am wasted. As everyone has stated, It's forward speed is so incredible, it scared me on the first few flights. I've never experienced so much forward speed in the air. It's definitely a ton of wing at pull time. I would give yourself a few jumps with a very docile canopy and higher than usual(5,000 ft ) pulls. The leg wing seems to fly you a bit at the first stage of closing things down, I almost get a yawing sensation as I settle in for pull time. All in all it is has a feeling of a high powered motorcycle in the air, compared to A high speed glider(older technology suits). I am psyched to dial in my body position , as I feel myself floating in and out of the sweet spot. I am averaging in the 50's with dips into low 40's for 5 or 6 seconds at a time. Just my .02 cents.... Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
