  2. Marta at Apexbase dot com should be able to help you out . She has been a pioneer in the sport for many years introducing many ideas, products, and people to the sport. (Including myself........... as well as my girlfriend this last weekend). I've attached a photo of her and Jimmy P hucking my girl off this weekend. 7 jumps , 3 PCA, and 4 PC in Hand. They run a great course many times during the year. Any-time is a good time to make your first jump. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  3. Sept 29 - Oct 2. The MOTHER OF ALL BOOGIES !!!!!!!! I will be there organizing and coaching for the entire time. I have 12-15 birds who have committed to come play over some of the most amazing canyon country in the world. I will bring my full set of Prodigy demos(XS-XL) , as well as a full set of tracking demos (S-L). Come out and try on some wings. I will also bring out 2 or three different BM suits I have laying around. First come First Serve....... This festival will be one of the more enjoyable events this fall. I can guarantee everyone an amazing time with stunning scenery and great companionship to boot. If last years boogie is any sign of what we are expecting this year......... It should be off the Richter scale . I have attached the ad from Parachutist magazine, as it contains all the specifics. See you all in the desert !!!! Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

  6. Hey Justin, It sure is easy to sit on the sidelines and critique..........comments like yours are made to draw out the nastiness in people . I'm sure you would really appreciate it if people ripped on your ideas and actions. I wonder if you have ever met Jeb or Tom. I bet your opinion would change quite a bit if you actually me either one of these guys. Why am I wasting my time with even answering you..... edit to remove personal attack ~TA Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  7. Because the whole outfit way outflies the pants by themselves, and offers no downside. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  8. I really liked the stability on exit of the s3s, I found it easy to fly rather well. Scott's suit was just a bit tighter fitting than my loose-fitting V-1. Now I only made one jump on the S3S, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. I have around 150 jumps on a Classic, over 200 jumps on a Skyflier 1, and a handfull of jumps on an S3, with about 40+ jumps on my V-1. I think most people will agree thst the S1 is the twitchier/harder to fly of the group. (As in harder to fly at all, and harder to fly well.) I have BASED all of these suits except the S3. I personally felt that the S3S is a suit that is easier to fly well, with less overall currency/experience. I also "felt" that the overall surface area(wings) were a bit smaller than my V-1. Not that it felt restrictive, just smaller compared to my recent flying. Hitting the "Sweet" spot was a breaze even on my first flight. It felt very very similar to a S3. As I am extremely current on my V-1, I felt that in full flight as well as dirty flight I had about 10-15% more lift and drive than on th S3S. It felt like with the longer wands I could adjust the wing differently for odd slow flight as well as rockin full flight. I feel super comfy in this suit as well, but remember my first 20 flights or so I kept mumbling under my breath " Sure is a whole lotta wing .......". My bottom line opinion....... If you make at least 100 WS jumps a year...... I'ld suggest a V-1. If you are a weekend warrior who only flyes the suit 2 or 3 times a month, a smaller winged suit will do you more justice. Disclaimer : I am a rep for both companies, and have sold over 20 BM Suits. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

  13. Just for the record..... I love my 10-22 lens. It is much much more versitile than a fixed 15. I have shot a few thousand air to air photo's with it and a 20D, and am as happy as a clam. You are more than welcome to play with my setup this weekend at the dz. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com

  16. If I remember correctly(I seem to have short-term recollection problems????) a very accomplished WS pilot accidentally hit the tale of the otter at Eloy a few months ago. I think they changed their briefing for new WS pilots to include a nice long closed-delay watching the plane fly away before inflation. Maybe someone in the know can post more...... I hate to be inaccurate. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  17. No..... it's about watching Tom swagger from room to room like a pirate on a boat. We may have to get him an eyepatch and a large sword for next year. I have attached a sample of Mrs. Aiello's son's work..... cheers. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  18. BAHHHHAhHHHAHHHAAAAAA...... see you in 30.......... Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  19. Mike, Not to be hypercritical......but......... you should try BASE jumping before you start experimenting with BASE jumping. Stick to the risers.......at least until you have enough real-time experience to be safe and analytical about things. Believe me when I tell you... your first few jumps are very sensory overloadish....... keep it simple and safe.Remember that in your first series of jumps you ingrain habits into your future jumping technique. Bad habits are harder to correct later that sooner. I used to have this cool little sit-flying thing I used to do (afraid to go head low).... it took some serious potato-time to straighten that out later in my jumping. Tried and True are the way to go for a bit of longevity in this sport. Leave experimenting to Spence and Tom...... they seem to enjoy figuring out silly-human tricks :) ! Oh.... and good luck. 20. AHHHHHH....... the Broken O.... Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  21. Demo another canopy...... and even in a larger size......... I own 3 seperate sized canopies for "Optimal" landings(which don't exist always!!). I personally like Daggers...... they feel a bit sexy(speedy)..... but land with the strongest flare of all.(just my .02) Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  22. Why T???? I'm trying to figure out some of my June trip. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  23. Thanks Tom, This post is more orientated toward the Eric's in the world...... please don't go down and attempt to undo all the hard work many people have put into jumping inside of the largest National Park in all of Mexico. This site is one of the most technical/difficult landing sites in the world. The wall lies at the T of a 2800+ ft canyon, and a 2000 ft gulch. The site requires access from 5 am to no later than 9 or 10 a.m. We have never been able to make a jump in the afternoon in 4 trips. We always suffer weather days. It is by far one of the more difficult/technical sites visited out there. We are gifted with an annual permit in March every year. This site is extremely remote requiring a helicopter to access. The government allows us a permit with the following: 1. Helicopter support from the local medi-vac chopper service in Cihuahua. This means a helicopter on-site for every single jump or journey out to "ANY" jump site. 2. Full medical/search and rescue support . (We are required to bring down about 10-15,000 in medical and rescue gear including high-line helicopter/big wall rescue gear and support.) 3. A permit pre-approved six months in advance with one of the "approved" providers of parachuting serviced inside the Mexican NPS. 4. Daily operations overseen by local Gov. authorities. Please realize that getting hurt at the bottom of one of the more unforgiving regions of the planet that has no infrastructure for search and rescue.... much less real medical help....... will turn a bad injury into a life threatening one...... a really bad lower extremity injury..............a FATALITY. If you show up jumping in the canyon without major support, and get hurt................. GOOD LUCK!!!!! You will definitely need it............ ask the guy hitting the waterfall in C2......... he was lucky there were a bunch of military guys to hall him out..... The Giant is 20 times more inaccessible. I understand that the videos that we put out are "entising"...... realize that some of the most experienced and current jumper in the world have qualified this place as the one of the most technical/difficult places to land a parchute in the world(Marta,Avery,Rook, and many more of the worlds best canopy pilots out there). Please email any one of the many clients that we have taken there. I believe they will all tell you that going there without proper support is a suicide mission. I'm not trying to scare anyone out of going down and checking it out. Please just realise that jumping inside of the canyon without proper permits/support will just help turn this place into the cave. An object that only a few of us got to go to....... and no one else ever will. Tom------- thanks for everything........ can't log on every-other-minute!!!!!!!! p.s. Our requirements for this trip are BOTH 1000 + Skydives AND 100+ BASE Jumps(only 20 Perrine Jumps Count), 20+ Slider Up, and you have to have cut your teeth on something technical/exotic........ Norway/Cave/Europe........ (other objects besides your local stick... and dirt pile!!) p.s.s. I make twice as much $$$$ running my bar/restaurant as I ever will hanging out with sub-terminal freaks. It's more of a love-affair/passion to share with Jedi-Fuckers something I found and jumped. If I wasn't the guy organizing these "Miracle-Trips", I would be handing someone else 4000 to take me. I prefer to organize, and make thing happen on "My" level safety, as well as comfort-wise. I do this because of all the magical moments I am able to pack into a 4 week period called March Madness. Anyone wanting to contact me with questions.....jayepstein@hotmail.com Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
  24. Hats off to Mario and his crazy Canadian gravity testing team. One of the better IMAX films I have ever seen. I was told those lucky bastards made 50+ jumps a piece to get the film for this project. Pretty amazing considering it was filmed at least 3 or 4 years ago... 25. The Dragon was the precursor to the Dagger. The Dragon was built by PD, while modern Vertigo Canopies are built by Precision. Jay Epstein Ramirez www.adrenalineexploits.com
