    I am a big fan of Daineese. They are the top end company for impact related crash gear. You get what you pay for..... the gear was originally designed for motorcycle road racing to be worn underneath leather on big 100+ mile an hour crashes. I have not been impressed with other "action" hardware out there in the least. I mailed daineese about a piece of armor that took a pretty ugly hit. They offered to x-ray the shell and replace it for cost if found to be less than standard. When I sent it in, they simply sent me a new one...... they said based on principle alone.. Take it for what its worth...... when you actually need battle/protection gear....... are you ready to entrust your spine to "second best/cheaper" gear??? Not I...     Hey Gabo, I would stay away from the HDD(Hard Drive) & DVD cameras that are out these days. They use a compression format that is less than desired for jumping. Sony just came out with their HD5 and HD7. The HD7 looks like it will be the superior camera to have in the prosumer range. Check out the thread in photo/video. I hears the HC7 won the consumer electronic show's award for best camera last week. That pretty much says it all. See you soon..... P.S.     Just a heads up to everyone who has talked to me about the Copper Canyon trip this year......... Due to permit difficulties and helicopter constraints, we will only be running one load into the canyon this year. The dates are fixed at the 11th thru the 17th of March. As it is getting more and more difficult to coordinate the various assets necessary to run this trip, this may be the last load for a while.     Last weekend I had an unusually snappy opening, and got hit in the mouth by my alti-2. The alti strike knocked out 3 of my front upper teeth. I thought I would post this as a warning to people who open in full flight...... you might consider getting a lighter/electric alti. I know I am switching over. !!!!!! Sweet flights to all.....
