LOL! Thanks Dave, they weren't my kids,, I just don't act my age and folks think I'm premature grey! The jump was her graduating from HS present... The 3rd camera is a seldom used older one that has glitches when in MF,, at least it looks fuzzy in time with the music! The dude on crutches, Tod, broke his ankle last year in Elsinore and it still gives him trouble some times, he has just returned to jumping... Natural Born FlyerZ.com

I use Vegas also, but usaully capture and burn DVD with Pinnacle,, they all just take some getting used to,,, also, I have 2- 100GB hard drives and both are almost full of video shit most the time,, A single fun DVD can easily run up to 30 GB... Natural Born FlyerZ.com

Again, I'm from a small DZ,, to get into shooting tandems I was shooting a second camera view initially, if good it was used to supplement the camera flyers,, then after the TM's were OK with me being in their airspace I was allowed to jump primary camera on folks who didn't want the video anyway,, then when they/we watched it, we would offer to sell them a copy at regular price... going behind the back of the folks who have spent a lot of time and $$$$ is just friggin wrong IMHO Billy Natural Born FlyerZ.com

I went with the digi Rebel for the reasons flyingarab points out... only had it for a couple weeks now but I love it,, see what ya think,, the link is a full size file pict so you will have to scroll around to see it,, but is meant for you to see the detail the camera captures... It's Sunday morning and it's raining But I managed 2 jumps with Steve "Birdman" yesterday I was shaking after both of them! I watched the plane move away and finally turned left like I was supposed too... Steve was off to my left like cmon lets go! Then turned left onto my base leg and,, well it was bitchin,, Sun was behind us as we skimmed the tops of some clouds, I was screamin like a lil kid, and forgot all about practicing opening till I looked at Steve and he gave me some signal,, finally opened a lil low at 4k nice and soft, no twists and again screamin like a baby,, it was just friggin cooool.... Steve wasn't wearing his camera, I think he pawned it to pay the cops after he got stopped hauling ass thru Spokane, I didn't realize Spokane was between Portland and the DZ but hey If anyone has a nice pict of there shadow in a cloud I would love to see it, that was an image burned into my head but I can't put on the wall.... Learning to be responsible is an important thing for kids that age,, The decision was made for you, not by you... I bet you were excietd to go also! Ya, they know what hurts and it's usually just venting anger and frustration,, and it's your job to get them ready to get outta the house when they are 18 & have them ready for the real world... it'll be tougher than you ever were!
