Thanks for the kind words Vint... The pict was shot with the Digi Rebel POS Kit lens,, we were low due to clouds, barely 10K AGL. This year will be jumping with a flash set up, the picts in FF were bland with the cloud layer,, Thanks really go to Tod for submitting the pict, I haven't a clue yet how that works... Thanks Bill, Couple years ago I was flying over the Rockies in an unpressurized plane at 12K MSL, and my Sa02 was ~84%. Now thats a pA02 in the 60's or so. Like ya'll stated, a few deep breaths would bring them up to mid 90's, normal. Just a few observations... Most folks climbing to altitude are sitting hunched up with a chest strap in place, decreasing your volume with each breath. I hadn't thought much before about loading, but it makes sense that while loading your sucking some exhaust, and like already stated, CO will hang onto your hemoglobin a lot longer than 02. You can have an Sa02 of 100% with a pA02 in the shitter! So don't get fooled. Being excited and breathing faster blows off C02, which is your bodys main respiratory drive. Hyperventilating before swimming underwater may or may not "bank" 02, but it will drive down your C02 and you won't feel the need to take a breath for a while. Breathing too fast on the climb low down will result in a slower rate up high. The excitement of finally getting your onto your load, sitting then on climb to altitude all hunched up, maybe some C0 from exhaust hanging around for 20-30 minutes in your blood, then exerting youself at altitude, I'm surprised more people don't feel funny. Hey All, Just read the latest Incidents... and it made me think of where my handles are. I once borrowed gear to quick turn a jump. Under canopy I could hardly look down without choking because the chest strap was right there. So I ask you, where was my cutaway handle? In the plane and on the ground the handle was right where youd expect it to be, relative to my body. So I am now aware of where my handles are all the time. There in the exact same place, and I believe on every sport rig also. My cutaway pillow is just below the chest strap on the right main lift webbing. My silver handle is just below the chest strap on the left main lift webbing. On that borrowed rig jump, I found my handles easily by following the chest strap, both handles were almost above my shoulders... If I'd had to use my EP's, I doubt the handles woulda been where I'd expected them to be, but they woulda been right where theyd been placed on the harness. Just something to think about before safety day. Have a great season and jump safe! Natural Born FlyerZ.com

I decided not to go to 9 after finally getting all the bugs worked out of 8, which took an assload of time. Vegas, Premiere, whatever, allow you to be more creative and saves time by not screwing with all the Pinnacle "idiosyncracies." They do seem to be less consumer oriented. Many were pissed by having to buy 9 after getting 8 fixed, and not being allowed to upgrade. Natural Born FlyerZ.com

I have Version 8.sumthin... I have to put the cursor on the blue sound line that runs down the center of the audio track you want to adjust,, it'll change from your pointer to a speaker when it's in the right spot, then press the left mouse button and hold it to drag the sound line up or down changing the volume and leaving a "spot" where you made the change. It'll adjust the volume from "spot" to "spot" so don't get clicky happy,, if you screw it up hit the "edit" and undo it and try again,, it's more of a pain then Vegas but you'll get used to it... Hope that helps! Natural Born FlyerZ.com

I record off the VHS to the camera, using RCA jacks to a stereo mini plug on my PC-9, then unplug from the VHS machine, and firewire into the PC. I can't do it at the same time,, if I try it's just black screen and audio on the PC. Maybe your camera type makes a differance. But this works for me without any loss of quality... AM, I used Frontpage to do mine and it was pretty easy,, Dreamweaver is another I've heard good things about... I didn't have to learn HTML and you just design the site the way you like it, then upload the files... takes a little reading (Frontpage for Dummies ) but the options are endless... I needed to be sure the server accpepts the Frontpage extensions. Man I really need to update that sucker, it's months now since I changed anything,, you can easily add a link to your shutterfly account site also Billy http://naturalbornflyerz.com Natural Born FlyerZ.com

OK I'm totally confused,,, I'm working on a project and looking at CCTV vs DV camera options. It seems the CCTV folks use "TV lines" as a resolution type of description, even when you do get to see any specs on the total number of pixels. Bullet Cams also use this I've noticed. DV seems it uses mostly pixels, and in editing video/jpeg images I usually use 720x480 as the image size. So WTF are TV lines and how do they relate to pixels or image size??? Natural Born FlyerZ.com

That will depend on your video card & system... Not all of them have a dual monitor capacity. If you do any kind of video work it's worth getting a new card. Dual monitors are great for editing. There not tooo spendy and are really pretty easy to install and set up. Sorry, but I'm not up on the latest and greatest video cards. Good Luck! Natural Born FlyerZ.com
