  1. Maybe by definition... But in my book it's a SKYDIVE. From ANY altitude.
  2. Yes it's true. I was raped by a visiting Aussie and strangely grew a hidden pouch on my stomach. [someone] took the pic when they gave me all my stuff back, on my way out.

    Snekor

here's a picture of one of my Snekors. It's quite comfortable, and I find it secure even without the use of pins. I'm sure this doesn't help, but I couldn't resist.

  5. Gardner: Don't be a pussy. Go huck the fucker already!
  6. Personally, I don't really give a shit. Object classification only matters to me in terms of mitigating saftey factors of a jump. Jumping off things is fun. It could be a 300' pile of dead NPS rangers for all I care--[that might even make it more fun] If forced to make a choice though, I'd say however the wind affects the jumper relative to the object; over a cliff through an antenna around a building not a factor on a bridge This is only my opinion, so it's not open to debate. I don't care if anyone agrees or not, as it works well for me. going to make a jump now, 5000G
  7. how about a crane on top of a building?
  8. golly. That looks like some seriously interesting reading. I wonder how many chapters are dedicated to Shameless self-promotion? He really must be the BEST jumper in the world! I'm humbled in his absence
  9. either way, he's a soft cunt for not holding onto the V....Who's the hardman that'll step up to the Smellveggen challenge and handhold a canopy all the way back to the campground? Douggs can you hear me???
  10. It looked to me like TA had a packed rig when he exited (#6?) Which would tell me that he was only holding onto the risers at the "V", and didn't actually "cutaway" in the traditional sense--he just let go of the risers. Of course, REAL hard men do that off of 486' objects--but if this is the case, good on ya anyhow--but I have to say for the record: what a waste from #6! Are long freefalls getting to be too stressful TA? They have pills for that I think.
  11. get ahold of Dan Fairchild at BAy Area Skydiving in CA--Not sure if he's still there but they'll know how to find him...
  12. Is the x1.6 multiplier for the CCD truly accurate in the real world? Does a 15mm fisheye really roughly equate to a 24mm lens on a non-digi SLR? Any suggestions on the best prices for canon lenses in the 14-21mm range would be appreciated. thanks!
  13. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DO ADVOCATE AND SUPPORT VIOLATING THEM...ALL OF THEM.
  14. PC extraction 185' AGL.still had time for a 10 sec. canopy ride.
  15. c'mon Mick--are you really that ignorant? The jumpers who live in that state probably don't agree with your assessment above. Whether it's been jumped or not is irrelevant. If it was in your Backyard, you'd be at the head of the lynch mob. Sites should not be named--PERIOD. National news or not. Illegal or not. Previously jumped or not. That would be akin to raking landing areas so the pretty neon jumpsuit won't get red with desert dust--just bad ethics. PS: that 'project' in the national news is no longer happening--now it is neither relevant nor appropriate, so you can get rid of it now.
  16. HEY MICK--HOW ABOUT THIS ONE THEN? http://www.blincmagazine.com/cms/article_371.shtml THIS DOES NOT NEED ANY PUBLICITY.
  17. any info is appreciated... except for that.
  18. yo. what are people's recommendations for BASE canopies w/ wingsuits? How do vents+valves affect performance when deploying from a WS flight? pros, cons, etc...any info is appreciated. thanks

    Line Burns

Are you sure it is a line burn? Are you certain you didn't/couldn't have snagged your canopy on something? Maybe whilst shoving it into a stash bag, or catching on a bush when landing... Just a thought...
  20. You can never go wrong with a pink, brown, sky blue and yellow combo. All the coolest jumpers fly these colors. You want to be cool, don't you??
