At my DZ if you wanted to do a hop n pop and nothing else it would cost you US$25. It is AU$35 to the top or for an HnP. I have suggested they reduce the rate for Hop n Pops but to no avail. I have a few friends who have run with the bulls. Apparently one of them was so far ahead of them that he never even saw a bull until they got into the stadium at the end. What they then do is when everyone has made it to the stadium they let the bulls in one by one for a laugh. Andy didn't know this... I seldom post in here but feel I should after some of the comments here. Firstly I cannot fathom any comparison made between the current war in Iraq and the second world war in Europe. In WW2 the war had been raging in Europe for several years with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of US 'allies' killed and with countries, speicifically England, begging for support from the US prior to their engagement in 1941. In Iraq you have a country that, internationally, was not considered a threat and despite that the US, and coalition, invaded. In WW2 there was a massive demonstrated threat to the way of life of pretty much everyone in the Western World, the mass extermination of entire races and an obvious and tangible enemy. In Iraq there was an unproven potential threat and loose links to a possible terror network. I find it offensive to make these comparisons. CJP Gods don't kill people. People with Gods kill people

I have an interesting slant on thi. In Big Brother 27, or whatever we are on, here in Australia they are about to introduce a Transexual called Miriam into the house to "spice things up". Miriam is pseudo famous for having been on a show were 6 guys tried to win her/him not knowing the big secret. It is public knowledge she/he is a transexual. When they found out it cost GBP125,000 to each of the contestants from the production company to get the thing on the air. thread Now say they introduce Miriam into the BB house and one of the guys pulls her. Everyone on the outside knows this is a guy (pre-op) but they are keeping it secret from the people inside so the bloke hinks he is pulling a girl but all his family & friends know otherwise. What sort of a can of worms could this open?! The guy will get HELL from all his mates who know about this. They are being put in a potentially shattering position by the production company in the interests of audience figures. I, personally, think it is outrageous. My grandfather and grandmother were living in one of the few houses still standing in Coventry - my Grandad worked on Spitfires as he was too old for the 2nd World War. My wife's Grandad was dropped into Normandy (his 1 off jump) as an army medic. his platoon was all over the place anxd they were dropped in the worng place - he eventually caught up with his platoon on Pegasus Bridge. So anyone live in NYC who can tell me where to go for a salubrious night out. I am there in three weeks for a wedding and about 5/6 of us want to go out and have a mini stag/bachelor party but I have no idea where to go or what to do. So if you can't jump regularly you shouldn't jump at all? What if you are in a place non conducive to jumping? I did my AFF the same time as my bro (Cornishrich) in July 2002 and I have 180 odd jumps and he has around 40 as I am in Australia and he is in England. Should he give up because his work/time restrictions and the English weather restrict his jumping? Whenever he has a layoff of a few months he does a currency jump with an instructor. He then takes it very easy for the first few jumps. I believe that you can be safe as long as you continue to refresh yourself after each break. I disagree that the line should be so strict as jump or don't jump. If it gets to that then are we going to quiz prospective AFF students as to how much they intend on jumping and not train them if it is too small an amount? A big spring loaded pilot chute will give a heap load more drag if in the wrong place than a collapsible PC on most sport rigs. Was the PC over the front and then back through under tha canopy? i have seen that configuration laded several times at Picton. Surprised they told you yuou should have chopped but what you learnt more is to really check your canopy - the last thing you want are surprises at 100 feet. How is AFF going Nicole?
