You have AWESOME skiing out there...GO!!! If you don't ski you need to, it's my second fav thing to do. I actually get more adrenaline skiing than skydiving!

I don't know how many DZ's do this but at Kapowsin, any static-line rig with a PRCP handle on it has a brightly colored flag on it to signify that it doesn't do anything...good idea I think.

I know the student made a serious mistake...unfortunately it's not uncommon...I did it too. I wasn't even trying to track, it just happened and I never saw the 4 way above my head. They ended up breaking up early and tracking away from me and I dumped at 4k. Tom Heelen had some words for me...I'm sure he was holding waaaaay back though. Tom -> me ->

If i can figure out how to manage it, I would love to just travel to random DZ's, work a little, jump some and then move on to the next one...that would be a kick ass life!

I showed up at the DZ Saturday morning and the weather sucked. Cloud base at about 1500 max, sat around all day, learned to ride a unicycle (took FOREVER!) and studied for my A License written exam. The weather didn't clear up at all. I bought an altimeter and USPA membership and crashed on a couch. Sunday morning the weather was even worse so I played a little Xbox and played with the unicycle until the seat fastening thingy broke. Around 4ish I actually got to jump. It was from 4.5K but that was enough for me! I got two jumps in and passed my written A license test and I just got home a few hours ago.

I don't know anyone that would just dump their crap in the ocean, but if I did I would kick their ass...or just make them aware of the issue and the damage they are doing...or both. I agree this needs to stop, at this rate we will have to find some other planet to trash because this one won't be able to sustain life anymore. -

I wish parents weren't so uptight about skydiving, none of my friends can go because their parents are being all pissy. If they want to go, they will be going in a year or two anywayz so why makem wait? Parent's are weird -

Being able to feel your handles is important, but trust me when it's pull time, you won't have any trouble getting the PC out
