I've been jones'n for a good Skydiving book lately. Something with a real story behind it that really makes you feel like you are the one flying. Any ideas...?

I suppose if you landed in a good size lake, and were able to get your fall rate around 30mph or lower at impact, you would just skid across the water like a skiier? But the important thing is getting fall rate down...it would be survivable I would think...dumb but survivable

This is somewhat related to SpeedRacers rantings, but I was just wondering what the numbers were as far as the number of people that actually make skydiving their life. It doesn't mean that they don't do other things non DZ related but I want to know the number of people that make a living and spend the majority of time skydiving. And what exactly do you do?

As a student, (21 jumps) I have an instructor gear check me and if my chest strap is too tight, they loosen it until there is about 1-2 inches between the strap and my chest when it is pulled. As long as it isn't excessivly loose you should be fine. But it also depends on how well your harness fits you. If it is too big then the shoulder straps may venture a little too far outward and that would be bad...

My Home DZ is 177 miles away or a 3 hour and 15 minute drive. The closest is 2 hours and 15 minutes away but I prefer Kapowsin

Upgrading is a good idea but if your not interested in that right now, I have a blue orb fan that would probably work with Arctic Silver III paste. If the fan is glued on you can still take it off, you will need to put it in a static free bag, tape that bag up REALLY GOOD and then wrap it in plastic bag (from safeway or something) or a garbage bag will work well too. Then put it in the freezer for about 20-30 minutes and then the fan should pry right off cause the glue will be brittle. There are a few pages I have found in the past that will talk you through everything so if I find them again I will post them.
