I get this shit in my MSN account all the time, 'cept it's legit. I have a bunch of people on my buddy list that I talk to now that had e-mailed me through my profile. I thought it was really fuggin' strange that I got on through my DZ.com account though since we don't really have public profiles, or at least ones that would be of any interest to the general public. Anyway I ALMOST thought it was legit.

Ok, I just checked my e-mail and ALMOST thought this was valid...until I saw the second exact same e-mail but from a Nichole with a different last name. "Hi, I came across your email on the internet while looking at profiles of someone who lives close to me and I thought I would drop you a quick email. I just turned 23 and have decided to become a grade school teacher after getting my bachelors in education. I'm no expert, but I would imagine landing on the balls of your feet would be much better than landing on your heels. The "springyness" of the balls of your feet absorb a good chunk of momentum, transferring the shock up through your heel/ankle, calves, knees and on up. By landing on your heels, you take the chance of "jolting" the lower back. I know this from experience. I had a "stand-up" landing quickly turn into a PLF, and I wasn't in the proper PLF position and landed heel first...it hurt like a bitch. Also, I believe it would be easier to fracture or at a minimum bruise a bone in the heel from such a landing. I prefer: Balls of feet, ankle, calves, knees, thighs, butt, side of body, shoulders - repeat as necessary

When I was 11 or 12, I got into HTML writing. I did all my HTML in Notepad and I was making kickazz pages with frames, tables, background music, imagemaps etc, all with Notepad...then things got complicated, your site wasn't cool unless you had java or something. So I stopped, and now I can't even hardly remember anything of what I knew...oh well. Skydiving beats the hell out of code writing, so F&^% it!

You're right, I do like mature women. Most of the girls my age still can't understand the idea of staying with one guy. The thought of a "serious" relationship has never crossed their minds. I'm not the kind of guy that wants his girlfriends to change like the seasons ya know? Besides, "older" women know what they're doing in bed

I have, and I just slide right over them. Like I said, PLF's are MUCH better. These landings of mine occur only when I KNOW I can stand up the landing...and then find that I can't. I have performed a beautiful PLF when on the radio. The ground instructor had me flare around 15ft or so, and I flared like a mofo. Which bounced me up a couple feet...after just flying over an asphault road which brought be up a foot or two. I ended up basically falling from 16-18 feet. When I had finished the flare, I thought to myself...wow...this is high...this is going to hurt hehe..uh oh...PLF! And all was well...except my ground instructor that thought I broke something.

WHOOT! I too started with just a plain dope-rope jump. I never expected to do more than one though! As soon as I got to the ground, I was like...I can't wait to jump again! Then I saw the video from my mom's tandem jump the same day and that only fueled the fire. I was determined to progress to freefall. I think I was a better canopy pilot by the time I was done with my S/L training too, since I had more jumps than the average AFF student. I did static-line for 2 reasons. I wanted to be "in control" and I didn't have the extra $45 to do a tandem...oh and I wasn't 18. At my DZ, I guess you have to be 18 to make a tandem jump

I have this weird way of landing, I'm still getting used to stand-up landings. A lot of the time, I'll come down and flare, but I'll plane out so low that I'm basically dragging my butt. When I come towards the ground, my right foot comes back under my butt, so I'm sitting on my foot as I slide across the grass, then I pop up at the end. Sometimes I can't really tell if it's a stand up or not. But from this position, I find it really easy to roll about if necessary. True PLF's are much much better than this though, so ignore me hehe
