  1. omg, lol. Poor Arthur.I'm talking to him now and readin him this thread and he's laughing. He seems to have recovered... You woulda thought he would've learned from Mia in Perris...he practically yanked that tequila bottle for her hands telling her how bad it was for her and making her drink soo much water....lol guess he didn't take his own advice! edited to say: maybe he hasn't recovered completely....prepheckt jsut asked him if he wanted to do shots and he was like ugh...then told me just the smell of beer is making him sick *daizey*
  2. Definitely stretch well-it makes all the difference. And if you start running, go out and spend the extra money on a good pair of running sneakers. Seriously, people say it doesn't matter, but it does. I have the broken foot to prove it I went running without doing much stretching and had a really bad pair of sneakers. First i pulled a hamstring then later found i developed a stress fracture in my foot which ended up breaking. take the time to stretch and spend the extra money-its more than worth it. Another great exercise that is really beneficial to your overall body is swimming. It works your whole body and is soo good for you. I swim competitively and I coach a bit as well, so if you ever decide to do some swimmign and need some workouts, feel free to pm me and ask

  6. Yeah but its too bad that people choose to make a mistake like this...all it takes is one mistake to kill someone... I know quite a few people who would still be alive if it wasn't for someones mistake a few weeks ago...one a new mother, one a small infant, and a college girl..... if it weren't for this mistake...theyd still be alive and knowing that, and knowing the mistake could have been avoided really sucks.... *daizey*

  11. the only options that i see that it has to just to select a standard language...it came set on english...the training was supose to allow it to adapt to my voice...that worked real well i guess oh well, guess this means more trining? or jsut to give up...its kinda entertaining to train it though. Its just reading storiesand stuff-theyre kinda interesting...though my parents did think i was a little weird for talking to my computer the other night... *daizey*
  12. lol its ok, kinda funny actually.... but does anyone know if these type of programs actually do work? I assume you would get a few problems with words and such, but, well, my experiment was horrible...just curious how others have made out with other programs... this btw, came with microsoft word when i got the computer...i jsut went to tools and speech and found it.... *daizey*
  13. I realized a few days ago that my computer has this neat feature on it that allows me to speak while it types for me. Ive heard of programs like this before and thought, sweet! so i started training it by going threw the excerpts of stories it had me read... Well, tonight i gave it a try with a paper i had been working on for philosophy...I've sat with this computer for a few hours training it, but either my speech is really screwed up or this computer has a mind of its own...either way im not so sure this program is so beneficial-im pretty sure my philosophy professor would prefer the typed paper over the spoken one Heres an excerpt from the paper and the computers translation of it....its quite...confusing lol. My paper- Philosophers examine our assumptions and thoughts about why we do what we do, why we believe what we believe, our values, morals, and much more. To do this, philosophers deal with three basic questions. The first question deals with the philosophical field of epistemology, the theory of knowledge. This question is “What do I know?” The second question deals with the field of ethics or morals, knowing what is right and what is wrong. This question is “What should I do?” Lastly, the third question deals with the field of metaphysics, beyond the unnatural. This question is “What is the meaning of life and my place in the universe?” Philosophers use reason, rational analysis, argumentation, logic, and critical thinking to deal with these questions. This differs from the way most people approach things. For example, most people, when dealing with these problems would use answers from their own thinking. Philosophers however, have to try and figure out what everyone else or even what just one other person is thinking. computers translation- The La Russa million dollars from And the about 1mi. the, why remove the holy, now rebellion, morals, They’re much more. 15. I've wanted to jump ever since i was 15. While waiting to turn 18, I tried learning as much as I could about skydiving. When i was 17, my cousion introduced me to dz.com. I met so many people and learned so much. It was nice going into my first jump with all the knowledge i gained from here. Now I am midway through aff. I still learn so much from here and I have met soo many cool people. Everyone is so willing to help when anyone has a question and its great. I have also made some of the greatest friends I could find here. I'm not jumping right now due to injury, and dz.com is helping me from not going insane! There is not other place online that you can find so much info, so many great people, and so many great sources all in one place! *daizey*
  16. yes lol. they knew if they ever wanted a shot at playing that again they'd have to go out and build that snowman. Besides, im the oldest, they have to listen to me Oh, and i am their only ticket to going anywhere since they're too young to drive...Theyve been nice ever since i came home for break.... Its sad though now. Thats all kids do now is stay inside. I hardly ever see any kids out sleigh riding anymore. Even when i babysat last week during the last storm, the kids wanted to stay indoors-what happened to having fun? *daizey*
  17. ok now you've scared me....I'm not sure what you have...though i have a few ideas.....and all of them scare me lol Ill pay ya a few bucks to find it, and ill pay ya a few more to hand it over-and any others you have too!!! *daizey*
  18. Beautiful pictures Arthur!! I still want to go there someday!!! Ill try being the first to hug ya, but i doubt ill beat everyone else. Oh well, I don't need the picture, hugging you will be rewarding enough *daizey*

  22. haha yes! They were ordered and we ended up building a very nice snowman!!! *daizey*
  23. I know what you mean! Im home form school right now, and i tried to get my brothers out to help me build a snowman. But they are much too interested in their computer and PS2...fianlly when one was in the kitchen and the other was in the bathroom i took the power chord away form the ps2 and shut of the computer and ordered them outside. I loved playing in the snow when i was younger-I still do! Even if people look at me and my friends oddly from there dorm rooms as we are sledding down the hill on the tops to our storage bins lol
  24. Yuck, i feel your pain. I HATE finals...in fact i hate all tests, lol I have learned a lot about taking huge tests in the past though. First of all - RELAX! If you're all anxious and tense its going to be more difficult to do well. Speaking of anxiousness, i would definitely not drink a lot of coffee if possible. The caffeine in it makes you anxious, and you certainly don't need anymore anxiety!! Also, I would go against the all nighter idea-at least get a little bit of sleep. Sometimes, Ill study for awhile, get to sleep at a decent time, and get up a little earlier than usual (like an hour or 2) and study before getting a good breakfast (eating helps-a lot!) and taking the test. If the test is later, ill study in between the breakfast and the test. Oh and give yourself a break every once in awhile from studying...sounds as if you gave yourself one to post this which is good...If i didn't take breaks while studying I think by now i;d have gone insane! Lastly, think positively. If you sit there and say "i'm going to fail" or "all i need is a c" or thinking about failing out of med school you might do just that. Go into the test knowing you will get an A...a postitive atttude helps a lot!! Best of all luck to you on your test!! *daizey*
