haha im like seriously paranoid here. Damn Hollywood and their movies. NowI'm thinking maybe its a person...it is cold outside,,,maybe they're looking for a warm place and somehow got in! Maybe when i went upstairs they snuck into my room and now they are hiding in my closet or under my bed just waiting for me to go to sleep... I'm kidding...I think *daizey*

You're not funny Maybe I'll call school tomorrow and ask them if i can move in a few days early.... *daizey*

A few years ago my parents decided to redo our basement, The first thing they set up was a room for me, then a family room, a bar, a pool room, and a spare kitchen/food storage room. Since its basically done, its never been to scary....until now. I haven't been able to sleep all night, so i decided to get up and get some water...so i get up, open the door and hear the radio above the bar on....its not tuned into a particular station, just lots of static with some eerie noises and faint voices. Well, that did it for me. I forgot about the water and got right back into bed! I made sure to lcok the door on the way back in! A little while later i decided maybe i was dreaming so I got up again. This time the tv was on in the family room. A light was on too, but when i got up it suddenly shut off. I ran upstairs (they're right next to my door), checked on the rest of my family to see if it was a joke (it was 2 am and unfortunately they're all in bed-guess its not a joke), got soem water and ran back to my room, On the way I noticed the tv was off, the light was on and the swivel rocker was slightly rocking. I locked the door to my room. I called my dad from my cell phone and told him to come downstairs. Thought maybe someone was in the house...but theres nothing...not a thing...he blamed it on my inagination-but i swear i didn't imagine it! And now that i think about it i can recall some weird things that happened in the past...but i always blamed my brothers... Ok so now I am kinda freaked out. And theres no way i can fall asleep now! So do you think my basements haunted? Does anyone out there even believe in ghosts? haha Ive never been one to believe in them, but after tonight, im really not so sure.... *daizey*

I broke my foot back in september mid-aff...i didn't do it jumping, i did it running (Stupid long story) So that stopped me for quite awhile. Last weekend my doctor told me it finally looks as if my foot is completely healed and i can jump again!! Too bad i live in NY where its FREEZING. So, i will be waiting until this spring when it warms up again *daizey*

Today at work I heard a variety of opinions on this topic so i figured I'd see what you guys think. It is currently 13 degrees below 0 Fareignheit here in NY. Its windy and noone wants to be outside...the current wind chill is -46 degrees....if you go outside, you better be dressed warm-but even then your gonna freeze...temperatures aren't any better for tomorrow.... Almost every area school was closed today and will be tomorrow too. They say the wind chills are just too dangerous to be sending kids to school. I agree but others don't. I heard so many people today say "its just a little cold air...bundle them up and they'll be fine" or "they've had enough time off, keep them in school for the day" Another said that it was "ridiculous to deprive children of education just because of a little cold" he said he blelieves the only reason for the closures is because the teachers and superintendents don't want to brave the cold. But like others said-"what about the kids who have to wait for buses outisde their house or at bus stops?" "What about the kids who walk to school?" Some people are saying "well can't the parents just drive them?"...but its not that easy....plus with such cold temperatures its hard to keep anywhere really warm...a bus driver told me today that it takes forever to warm up a school bus-and once it is warmed up theres no way to keep it that warm with the doors opening and closing constantly. So this kids are cold all the way to school and all the way home...plus when they get to school tis not much better. He saidlately all he hears on the way home is kids talking about how cold school was during the day... So what do you think? Is it too cold to send kids to school? Are schools and parents really depriving their kids of education just because if a little cold? Or in these temps should kids be home? *daizey*

You think its cold there?? with the wind chill it is currently -46 degrees here in upstate NY air temp is -12...schools are closed tomorrow because they think its just too cold for the kids to be going to school, roads are horribel because the wind keeps blowing the snow all over and everything is frozen...Im glad I have the day off tomorrow!! I think ill be spending it in my nice warm bed!! *daizey*

Warmed up to a whole 5 degrees during the day....today and the next few days its supose to be warmer, 20's and 30's for the highs...then its back to single digits and negative temps again It sucks cause I finally got cleared to jump again, but i think ill be waiting a little while.... *daizey*

Using the word plenty was an accident on my part, I meant I had heard of a few...and by that i may even be mistaken...I remember hearing about it, but you're right, after a quick search i couldn't come up with much besides This thread. Guess I've always just been told to not rely on your cypress because it is man made and can malfunction or even fail. Really thought i heard of instances where it had too....Sorry for the confusion..,, *daizey*

I am currently midway through aff and I definitely don't believe that if i were to get into trouble my JM would pull for me...I believe that that is 100% my responsibility...Sure the JM is there to help, teach, and guide me, but Im not going to rely on them to save my life... Also...say I were to get into "trouble." if i were in trouble to the point where i couldn't pull for myself, whos to say my JM is still going to be near me or on my side. I mean if I am in that much trouble, i certainly don't think i could depend on them still being right there with me...course i supose that all depends on the type of trouble i am in. While I don't fall fast (quite the opposite actually) Ive always been told that theres a chance i could lose my JM. I too was told I could continue if seperated. That right there shows me that I am not expected to rely on anyone but myself when it comes to pulling. If we were all expected to rely on someone else during aff, then wouldn't the student progression would consist merely of tandems? I don't believe you should rely on a cypress either. I mean, I believe i have heard of a few instances where it has failed. *daizey*
