Daizey

I think about it everytime i go home, i see manhatten from the bridge...the skyline isnt the same.... I think about it everytime i'm in the city...especially downtown...i look at the sidewalk and the roads, the bridges, and think of how many people ran for their lives in the very spot i am standing. Everytime i see a fire truck i think of my uncle down there helping out...i think of my friend whos an active fireman being told to pack his things so he could be there first thing, 24 hours a day with little rest help with the rescue and recovery. I think of it everytime i go to work and look into a little girls eyes and think of the fact that she is 6 years old now and growing up without a father...I will never forget her telling me that her daddy never came home... I have countless friends who lost family and friends, i know so many people who worked there. I know so many who tried to help in every way they can...including myself...countless fundraisers and attempts at helping right there... Ive been there, to the site more times than i can count...its one of the saddest places ive ever been.... Its interesting that you post this today, because just a few hours ago i was looking at video i have beginning from september 23rd and going up to just a few weeks ago...the sites on that video will be in my mind for the rest of my life...Ill never forget it.... *daizey*

Totally know what you are saying!! I spent the day working in a floral/gift shop....we have flowers, candy, teddy bears....everything you woulda needed....and as you can imagine we got swamped yesterday and today....today was worse as people were rushing to get that last minute gift.... Today was interesting...the guys i encountered this year were worse than in the past. Its fun to watch the young guys wander around wondering what to buy...but then ya get the older guys...the ones who aren't just out to buy flowers...they have other things on their mind. they ask me what they should buy for their SO and then they procede to flirt and stare at me...and then theres the real old men....ew-not fun...I just keep thinking DUDE, you're buying flowers for your WIFE! quit staring at my ass! *daizey*

I would definitely love to go back out there and actually get to jump this time! I'll have to see how money goes though...and i definitely don't think my trip can last a month again... *daizey*

Amber you rock, what a great thing to do! Think of how big the smile is gonna be on the child who is able to benefit from your generosity...as for the money...money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy happiness.... I cut my lonnng hair back awhile ago and donatied it...it was so short i couldn't even pull it into a pony tail...at first i was like omg what did i do, but it grew on me (literally, hehe) *daizey*

My poor roommate. All last semester she had to deal with my pictures of skydiving, my videos, my talking about it. I thought Id drive her nuts...instead she became insanely interested in it. She began learning about the sport and beginning to intereact with others to learn some more. She even joined dropzone.com as NYKim06 to gain some knowledge. But according to her, she was in no way ready to jump. Since Kim was overweight she wasn't sure she could jump or if she'd even be comfortable doing it, so for awhile she kinda put the idea in the back of her head. Her self-confidence wasn't very high and she began talking about it less and less. I began to think she gave up hope. Until a few weeks ago. I got a call from Kim telling me she joined a weight loss program and was doing really well. She was so proud of herself. When i went up to visit her that weekend, i got to see her goal sheet. There was a statement that said "I want to lose weight because..." followed by a blank. The blank said "because my dream is to go skydiving" Kim has so far lost 13 pounds and shes put various skydiving pics up in her room to keep her motivated. I don't know about you, but i find this story extremely inspiring. I love to see people doing all they can to achieve their dreams. Kims dream is to skydive, and this summer she WILL jump-and I know she couldn't be more happy.

I sent them a comment too. I couldn't believe it the other day. I picked up a package not even realizing there had been a change. I picked green to eat first...i put it in my mouth and i was like EW! what is this?? Its just like a round, thin watermelon jollyrancher with a hole in the middle *daizey*

Well i wouldn't ever consider not resizing it...i guess i was just asking if it was better to keep looking or if it didn't really matter....would a resized one fit just as confortably as another one originally made that size? is there any difference? *daizey*

Is resizing a harness a bad thing? Say hypothetically i came across a great deal on a rig, but it was slightly big for my small frame...would having it resized be an ok thing to do? Or would it be better to keep looking for one that fits better? I realize the people get their harnesses resized, Im just wondering if there are pros and cons to doing this. And also, what the better option would be. Keep in mind that this would be my first rig... *daizey*

I'm not too fond of the cold...I'm definitely looking forward to going to FL in 2 weeks!! At least the snow makes everything look pretty though....well almost everything *daizey*
