My non - skydiving wife will be coming along to spend the days sight seeing, heading to the beach and just overall checking out what Florida has to offer. Anyone else bringing a non skydiving wife that might want to cruise around with her??? The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

So the forums are getting hammered with the Zhills guys complaining about the wingsuit flyers at their DZ. If Zhills has that kind of anti - wingsuit attitude is it really the best place for the Flock & Dock --- Florida has lots of DZs and I am really not that excited about that kind of attitude towards wingsuits. Maybe its just the few crybabies on DZ.com that is putting out that kind of attitude? I would like to hear from the rest of the Zhills wingsuit flyers -- is it really that bad? I have already booked tickets to Florida along with the rest of the Texas crew but it doesn't mean Zhills is our destination. We planned this trip to be a fun time and I don't see it being that fun if the rest of the jumpers are constantly complaining about seeing a wingsuit still flying while they were under canopy at 3k. Lets hear from the rest of the Zhills jumpers The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Wow nice ego Its great to have people like you around, it makes everyone look really good. I am not afraid of having a wingsuit fly by me nor am I afraid to do the fly by, but then all of the flyers in our flock are very current and controlled Maybe we could coach you -- oh wait your a wingsuit instructor who refuses to instruct if I am not mistaken The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

1/4 mile??????? Those votes must be all the old guys at Skydive Houston ---- You have canopies open within a 1/4 mile of you and you get all freaked out?? Maybe the wingsuit flyers should just call for a 4 minute go round on every flight so you old people don't get all freaked out ---- (we actually had to do that at Skydive Houston when some the tandem masters saw us open within 1/2 a mile) And my vote is 50' The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Hey Scott you wrote a book? What a great idea how come I haven't heard about this sooner? I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere --- To think I once flew with an author -- man I feel like Forest Gump The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

What kind of main are you jumping? ---again out of a plane
voodew1 replied to Calvin19's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Pilot 132 --- square, good wingsuit openings and flys straight with a few twists every now and then. It is in my dedicated wingsuit rig -- its been deployed at terminal like 4 times. The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid -

MY WIFE DON"T CAMP ---- and I gave up that tenting stuff a long time ago. So we Texans (5 of us) will be heading into town to sleep in a real bed, take a warm shower and eat real food --- don't get me wrong I am OK with DZ booze. The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

I have been to some DZs where the tandem masters and students beg for the buzz job and think it is the greatest thing in the world. I have also been at other DZs where we were given a 2 minute go around so we would not be anywhere near the tandems due to the tandem masters feeling unsafe about us opening up within a 1/4 mile of them (I am not exagerating at all on the 1/4 mile). As said previously it should be a planned buzz job and the approach to the canopy should be made where there are plenty of outs. My new home DZ has a no tandem swooping policy but experienced jumpers are fair game The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

I would have to say your wrong --- maybe you just never experienced turbulence on one of your jumps like Jenn had on hers. Think about this-- on every ride to altitude is it calm and smooth........most, but not all........if an airplane which weighs far more than a wingsuit flyer and is going about the same speed forward can feel the effects of turbulence why not a wingsuit pilot? I know that if flying around or maybe even into clouds by accident there are strong updrafts and downdrafts on either side which can be felt by even the numbest of bodies. Take into account that you are kind of new at the wingsuit game and still finding your wings----you are probably more focused on feeling the flight than some of us that are chasing a flock, chasing numbers, or going for speed. Just because flyers on DZ.com haven't flown in turbulence doesn't mean that its not there or that you didn't fly through it-----I would bet that you don't do it very often unless your breaking some FARs Voodew The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Would the Skyhook RSL prevent a bag lock?
voodew1 replied to Hawkins121's topic in Safety and Training
There is no way to beat an RSL(or skyhook) to the silver unless you pull out of sequence or at very minimum the exact same time The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid -

I am locked in on the Flock and Dock --- registration is up on baserigs.com as of today Dublin I will have to see about - leaving Texas twice in a year would be hard --- I go to Dublin you come back to Skyfest????????? And you know where ever I go I will bring the Texas flock in tow

I think that if you don't have a wingsuit instructor rating you should not even attempt to try to train someone else. The money we take from students is money well spent on instruction and knowledge. There are numerous wingsuit instructor wantabes teaching without the proper ratings and leading to the problems within our group. It doesn't matter what suit you fly get instruction from a rated instructor not some fly by the seat of his or her pants want a be with a spare suit -- and by all means pay the money its worth it!!!! Yeah I was just kidding you should know how I feel about the instruction from my past ---- PS I do charge one jump ticket to jump with my students -- but thats all, the ground school is free -- Yes I am a whore but I also have a real job and I skydive for fun not money. As for a BMI or even a PFI (which is much better by the way (because thats whose rating I have

40 mph vertical decent without trying, speed about like a GTI, 3 minute flights are easy if your body can stand the pressure (13.5 to 3) Distance? I don't use a GPS This is the early model GS1 which one will be at the holiday boogie in Eloy starting tomorrow The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Extend your legs fully, locked at the knees this suit with the extra tail wing is for long flights, If you want to flock unzip the tail and leave it on the ground or put up with the flap. If there were a few more GS1s around maybe long flights with others would be possible but as for right now it is extremely hard to fly with other suits(tri-wing) the GS1 is more floaty and lacks a little bit of drive. I can fly with other suits if I arch and fly head low but it is not as designed ----- but it isn't that hard Merry Christmas Ya'll The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Do you know of anyone stupid enough to have had a wingsuit cypres fire?
voodew1 replied to 980's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Beware -- that cypres is smart, it knows when your low I know of this one guy who's name I will leave out as its not my place to bust his balls but he did and intentional low pull (may have been a little lower than planned) After checking the protrack graph there was no speed greater than 55mph below 1400' he pulled in full flight (graph shows this also) and cypres fired with main deployment at 840' Maybe the jumper in question will step up and take it like a man
