here are some better pics of the cutaway system. Realize that the cables come 28" long and are to be cut to what ever suits the need -- I have them pulled all the way down for visual aid Edit to add --- smoke canister is about 1" off of the ground while walking -- doesn't impede on walking at all but keeps the smoke as far from the suit as possible without making it impossible to walk. Weight of unit is about 14oz -- give or take a little they are hand made for the most part so it can change one way or the other slightly --- shouldn't ever be over a pound The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

The buckles don't have to be released - you pull the 28" cutaway handle (trim to your desired length) which releases the straps on one side of the foot For the wingsuits I have a grommet stamped at thigh level for the cutaway handle to come through -- there is no bending to release the whole bracket. If you just want to release the smoke canister in case of fire you need to pull the other cutaway handle which also is 28" (cut to your length) I personally leave that one right near the canister. There is a cutaway for both. We don't plan to ship overseas due to past problems with the shipping of helmets (customs/non payment of taxes which falls back on the manufacture) As for the carbon fuckin fiber thing --Dave knows fiberglass ---- The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

It will be 4 inches from the leg to the smoke canister --about 2 1/2 from leg to canister heat shield/holder. The foot straps will go on first, pulling the foot plate onto the foot and pulling the foot into the heel cup. If a bracket cutaway is needed the cutaway cable releases the straps and the bracket will fall away. The foot plate only covers half the foot so it is easy to walk in. As for the cutaway cable I have punched a grommet and sewen in velcro so the cable will run inside the suit and out by the foot - easy to reach (located at mid thigh) That depends on if you got the early model with the heel cup or the later models with out. I haven't had a chance to try that as my GS1s were sent back for the new modifactions Only have used the first generation but this one solves all the issues of the first one. If anyone as any other questions I would be happy to answer. This smoke bracket was my idea and manufactured by a perfectionist who has taken my design and made it 20 times better -- the smoke canister cutaway is genious -- it is very light weight and flying with the first model you didn't even know it was there. The only changes were point the smoke straight down the leg instead of towards the toe and the addition of the whole bracket cutaway system. Superior signal smoke -- the 60 second smoke is $15 a can and the 2 minute is going to be probably $27 a can. I am ordering it by the case (24) and not profitting by resale - It costs me the prices listed above after shipping and hazmat charges - I might make 40cents of a can. I think I have found a great design for wingsuit friendly smoke brackets -- pics will follow later this week There will be a left foot and a right foot bracket - there will be both a smoke canister cutaway and a whole bracket cutaway. The brackets are designed for Superior smoke canisters but could be modified for other types but since the only types that are readily available are the Superior brand. They will be offered in any color as long as its black. The canister will sit off the leg a few inches and be shielded from the leg wing. These will also be RW or freefly freindly. Here in Texas we had a flocks with Acros, Phantoms, Prodigys, GS1s, GTIs, Classics and a Vampire on site but not in flight as everyone was playing with different types of suits this weekend. Uumm more posts than jumps ....... thanks for your thoughts on the matter, you should maybe go make a few jumps this weekend, find your local wingsuit guy and ask him to do a fly by for you -- you'll really enjoy it (might want to make sure he has some experience at it) By the way I started my fly bys a ways out and slowly moved them closer over time --- it really helps when the canopy pilot points at you so you know he sees you..... then you can pull it in tight!
