  1. Anyone else tired of every second thread being about war in here? Frankly I have been coming to the boards less and less over the last month or so because thats all i seem to see in here and I am kinda tired of weading through all the posts. Maybe we could have a separate section and this one could go back to talking about boobies, how hot Gretchen is, and how Vikings dates go. Just an idea. ~Chachi
  2. I kneel before the wisdom and plain old helpfulness of Quade. Really we all thank you. ~Chachi
  3. Need one to fit a TRV - 18. If you are trying to get rid of one, send me a PM. ~Chachi
  4. I know some sonty stores here in canada still ahve it available i just bought my trv18 last week. Let me know if you need some assistance in purchasing this camera or information on where. ~Chachi
  5. [reply} i couldn't get over these guys reduced to tears and thanking god because they won a bass fishing tournament! Now this I found funny..... ~Chachi
  6. Well, maybe it is better than growing up saying I want to be illiterate? I never understand these threads especially when they start to jump on traditions. Yeah there are Canadians growing up saying I want to be a world curling champion just like there are Americans growing up saying I want to be a world champion dart player. I think anyone who achieves being a world champion in whatever they do is probably more successful then half the people argueing on these boards.
  7. Thanks, I'll order it today. ~Chachi
  8. Honestly if you have never been to Vancouver (and west coast BC) you need to come. First of all you could do a little skydiving, we have a great DZ most beautiful views and a nice King Air. Secondly, the amount of stuff to do here is amazin. Also a huge factor is what your money is worth here. Think about an item that is $100.00 costing you $65.00. You can go from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, to Whistler, to Sunshine Coast. ANyway as you can tell I firmly believe I live in the most beautiful and entertaining spot on earth. ~Chachi
  9. HAs anyone seen this particualr lens. No one here in Vancouver has one in stock and Sony themselves can't provide me with dimensions. I was wondering if it is quite small or quite large. http://www.sonystyle.ca/webapp/commerce/servlet/ProductDisplay?merchant_rn=1&prrfnbr=27461&cgrfnbr=2244&catLandNum=2200&mainCatNum=2230&parent=CAMERA_ACCESSORIES
  10. Deauce, which exact model Kenko .5 is that one you have. ~Chachi
  11. Can anyone post where is the best place to get a cheap deal on the Kenko .5, also looking for the smallest one possible. ~Chachi
  12. Honestly I look through the sight with both eyes open, I think that allows me to see enough with peripheral vision and not jsut get focused on the subject. I use 2 audibles though, therefore I do not look at my altimeter alot because sometimes your arms are back collapsing your wings and you will not be able to see it uless you move your head which is not the best for video. However altitude awareness being what it is (important) it is best to have an alternative plan. Takes proctice to be able to look around and not move your head. ~Chachi
  13. Well I called Canon to try to deal with it. Apparantly when using an Adaptec SCSI card that didnt come with the scanner you need to download a driver called aspi32 that allows the card and the unit to talk to each other. Apparantly a fairly common problem. Thanks for the help. ~Chachi
  14. The device is actually been powered up when the machine is on. It detects and even goes throught he hardware wizard. Device ID is set yes. I will try when I get home to scan for hardware changes. Actually I forgot to mention 2 things. First when I go into the SCSI properties at boot up it recognizes devise , second it says BIOS NOt Installed !! right after it shows SCSI Card at boot up. ~Chachi
  15. Ok so I install a SCSI card into my 200 Pro machine and look in the Device manager and it says it is working properly so I attach and power on the slide scanner and when it comes to the desktop it sees the scanner and I proceded to follow the 200 Pro instructions for installing the scanner and then I launch the .exe file for the drivers and it gets about 95% throuhgh it and say ensure your scsi device is working properly and then says cant find scsi device. It finishes drivers though and program and I go into program and it says it cant find scanner. THis is a self terminating SCSI device so that isnt the problem . Any ideas? ~Chachi
  16. Any computer gurus out there that know about SCSI devices is Canon Slide scanner? Any help would be appreciated. ~Chachi
  17. Congradulations dude. ~Chachi
  18. Frankly Boneheads are the best helmet on the market as far as I am concerned. They stand up to skydiving and unless you throw it around it will look the same way you bought it after 5 years like my Flat Top Pro does. Plus they sell every possible option for a one stop shop. Customer aftercare if needed is amazing also. Total classy outfit. ~Chachi
  19. Stay safe, come home, and thanks for doing a crappy thankless job that most people wouldn't think of doing. ~Chachi
  20. Thanks for the info guys and thanks for the PMing Quade. Just want to mention that I love the detail and time that the camera flyers spent to answer questions and teach people they don;t even know. Classy sport and classy guys I've ran into here. Kudos to you all. ~Chachi
  21. Was just hoping to get some quick feedback before I bought this camera. ANyone heard anything bad or missing on this camera before I go out and buy it. Quade if you wouldnt mind chipping in that would be great. ~Chachi
  22. I find it funny how in the US and in Canada also we pride ourselves on saying we have the absolute right to free speech but try to censor people at every turn. Unfortunately free speech means that people can say things we hate also. Just a thought. ~Chachi

    Dive loops

Best thing to do is to sew a pinch in the dive loop and it stays open. Plus to avoid problems on landing, you should have your entire hand through the toggle and only use 2 fingers in the dive loop (which is big enough for your entire hand), there is no way to get 2 fingers stuck in one that size. Just my 2 cents but it is also the way most of the best swoopers I know do it. ~Chachi
