Then why are you allowed to have the LPGA. THere would be holy shit if a male that wasn't good enough to make it in the PGA went to try out there. Let's stop gender separation is all i am saying. ~Chachi

I think it is great that she can compete with the guys, but isn't it discrimination if all the guys wanted to play in the LPGA and they weren't allowed? What about the guys playing in LPGA and cleaning up? What about them taking chances away from women if tehy were allowed to play. I have no problem with her competing but then lets just have one series with the best 120 golfers. ~Chachi

Well here goes. I own the TRV - 22. I can't imagine buying a better all around camera for the price. In fact I think anyone buying a PC 101 or other is probably wasting money. The size? It fits on any side mount helmet like the PC series. Same weight? Yes it may even be a tad lighter. Picture quality? I don't think you could tell the difference. Inputs? has em all, Lanc, Firewire, S-Video, Sony stupid cable to 3 RCA. Button location. They are all in the right spot with covers except the Lanc port is not covered making it an ideal skydiver set up. Over all this camera rocks. I bought the TRV 22 because when I do tandem video's I like to use the nice disolves / fades and edit in camera, then I just lay down audio and titles and presto instant good looking movie. The TRV 19 does not have the nice fades built in. Rob get my cell number from Debbie and give me a call and I will let you know anything you want. ~Chachi - Rob I.

I have about 300 jumps with my camera attached to the top of my Flat Top Pro with only a thumbscrew and I have a strap that runs over the top of it. Holds just fine, I think when you ad a strobo on top you raise the camera up and have a great place for a line to wrap around, I think it is completely unnecessary. ~Chachi

Well here's the thing, you take a crap shoot to save a couple hundred dollars. It's up to you but I try not to duplicate other's mistakes. Plus I am sure even saving taxes there is a better Sony option in the same price range. I looked at online price of 1299.00 US, if your buddy saves you $200, you could still get many better Sony options. Coupled with the things you gain. Lanc port, IEEE, Sony stabilization, proven quality, support. ~Chachi

I believe the PC series is now over priced for someone getting into camera flying. The new TRV 19, 22. 33 are not only perfectly adequate with all ports ie, IEEE, Lanc, memory stick, they are also the same size pretty much as PC 101, 5 etc, they fit on a side mount helmet. They are also about 700+ CDN cheaper, I am not sure what the US dollar difference is but I am sure a big difference. Might want to investigate. I put this camera on my friends sidemount. it fits and weighs about the same. ~Chachi

Yeah I guess your right, I have just found alot of latittude in the past dealing with skydiving companies because I think most skydivers are really really honest. Maybe I expect to much, at least I don't have to pay full price. ~Chachi

Well, what they did is give me a 30% discount off a new one. I'm not sure I am exactly happy with this. I kept my product in 100% condition, I almost think they should replace it. Plus they are making me send it first even though I gave them my cc over email to send it out first. You would think they would just trust me to send it back seeing as they are maiking money on it anyway. Anyone else have an opinion on this. ~Chachi

I do not know anyone to have owned this particular helmey, I however know someone that head a different Headhunter only to return it twice to them for ongoing problems, and finally ditch it to buiya Flat Top Pro for the reliability and durability. I have owned one for 5 years and it looks like the day I bought it. ~Chachi

I know someone that had a JVC only to sell it and buy a Sony. Durability, in camera functions, a Lanc port are just some of the prolems. There is no reason to re invent the wheel when it comes to what it took serious videographers years find out. Save yourself the trouble buy a Sony. Plus with the cost of the new TTV's, i don;t believe you could get a better deal in a JVC. ~Chachi

I use the Sony .6 for filming and it is great. 30mm ring and I have heard (I think Quade not sure) that the Sony .6 is wider thean the Kenko .42. It is a nice lens, very small. http://www.sonystyle.ca/webapp/commerce/servlet/ProductDisplay?merchant_rn=1&prrfnbr=27461&cgrfnbr=2244&catLandNum=2230&parent=CAMERA_ACCESSORIES This is the Canadian product, so I am sure on SOny USA it will be cheaper. ~Chachi

Anyone know what the makers of CamEyes do when you have the old one and you discover it won't work with your new Sony. I sent them an email but so far have not heard anything back. Has anyone had customer service dealings with them? ~Chachi

THought I would throw my 2 cents in. I picked up a TRV 19 until I got it home and noticed a major thing it is missing for me. That is all the overlap fades and such I use to make a greta tandem video without haveing to spend major time editing after. The 19 only has a fade from black, bounce, and 2 other useless ones, the 22 has all the good ones, dot, wipe, monotone, overlap. Virtually the same camera but for those of you used to them in your old camera as I was will miss them in the 19. The $100.00 upgrade was worth it for me, plus memory stick for those of us yet to go get an amazing digital still camera. Just thought I would throw that out there. ~Chachi

Please send good vibes to my great friend, my teacher, and one of my mentors in the skydiving sport. My friend Rod was injured severely in a skydiving accident. I'm thinking of you buddy and also to his wife who is one of my best friends and a skydiver hang in there, he'll be fine. Rod is one of Canada's best skydivers and we want to see you back. ~45

Well I am not about to question your statistica Tom, but I do think that your article is filled with a ton of logic. I think that it is fine for a boyfriend to teach a gf in skydiving(it should be done for more than getting in her pants) but not in B.A.S.E. There should be someone distant and able to make the calls on whether someone should or should not do something. Those decisions are hard made when you think there might be reprocussions. Nice job on the article, my gf who is just starting skydiving this year asked me if I would take her B.A.S.E. jumping when she is ready and I forwarded this article to her. Thanks. ~Chachi

Actually, I don't even have to pay anything extra with my insurance company. It is covered just like if you dropped it off you balcony by accident. They couldn't distinguish the type of accident unless it is used for business purposes. Grey area there with some of us. I guess if you claim your income and expenses then you might run into troubles. ~Chachi

The girl I am mesmerized by is 20 and I am 28. I do not believe it is an issue if you are on the same wave length as far as your goals in life and at what point you plan to start achieving things like kids, marriage and such. This is after coming out of a 7 year relationship and 4 year marriage to someone the same age where we did not have the same goals, or interests. ~Chachi

In a word YES. I did my forst jump at 18, not much of a difference. ~Chachi

Wow, talk about fast response, Viking's ears must have pricked up and he needed to reply right away. It was just an idea, at least people might be aware now of how much air time this gets. ~Chachi
