It is not a sex party but more like a sexy party. AT the last one by these promoters there was soft core playing on the video screens and dancers on the bar. Same idea only everyone wearing costumes. What does everyone use for DV capture and editing?

I use a Maxtor 1394 capture card and Premiere 6.5 for editing. I am using a 1GIG Athlon Machine with 512mb DDR Ram and a 80 gig 7200rpm 8mb cache HD with Windows 2000 Pro and having no problems. ~45 -

Actually there is a great book tutor for Premiere 6.0 that translates straight to 6.5. Only a few high end things are different. All basic functions are the same. It is called Adobe Classroom in a Book. Sells at any major store for about 50.00 CA so less for you. What does that make it 6 bucks US. Oh, sorry bitter moment about CA dollar. ~45 -

I went form a sea level dropzone in Vancouver to Eloy last year and I didn't notice that big of differences. Nothing to worry about to much IMHO. ~45

Sounds to me you did a good and smart thing looking around. However, I am confused, you say you were breaking off at 3500 ft. and you don't like to pull below 3000 ft. By the time you turn and start tracking you are most likely below 3000 ft. You should plan your breakoff higher if you like to be open above 3000 ft. More like 4500 ft. It is good to hear you both are ok and have learned things from this incident. ~45

I have a CAM EYE and I think it is the best thing in the world. Before I had one I had my camera shut off twice on climbout for some weird reason. Who knows, maybe I knocked the record button. Now I have a great light, one that is clearly visible in the sunshine also. So now when I get out and the tandem or 4 way is climbing out I can check it again. IF you are being paid, you should have one. ~45

If it is 60 minute long song in MP3 format it might fit onto one cd. It depends how big the file is in MP3 format. Sometimes I can get 60 minutes on one cd depending on the size of each file. I would say closer to 45 minutes of music would be average though. ~45

Digital video is digital video from what I know excluding different world territories as PAL / NTSC. Are you sure that the properties in the video software are set up to recieve your camera? It is typically a hardware conflict issue not a importing the wrong signal issue. On the other hand there are many inexpensive capture cards / software with way more powerful and easy to use tools than MS video maker. I have never personally seen a computer not accept digital video based on the wrong type of video from a camera. Maybe other camera fliers have seen this before and have more exp than I do. I would also suggest posting this or moving this post to the camera flying section as you will have the most people with expertise in this area reviewing the posts. ~45
