I was pulled over several years ago for speeding in my Mercury Bobcat (Read-Pinto) I had just left a stop light so I handed the keys to the cop and told him if he could get the car to go that fast in that distance, I'd pay the fine and give him the car. Mike is a helluva guy and great pilot..and a pretty good golfer. He told me a while back that the balance is so edgy on that plane that he has to switch tanks every 15 minutes when he's ferrying it. I guess that's the only time that it carries a full fuel load. Another guy, Gary Ward, that was one of the Pitts pilots at WFFC is the only performer to scare me with his routine-check him out if you get a chance. I am not the man. This doesn't cover criminal, but as far as civil-I've explained to my wife that the DZO could shoot me while in the aircraft and she couldn't sue. Of course, then I added a clause to my will saying that all of my assets will be liquidated to pay for the DZ's defense if anyone sues if I get myself dead. I'm not sure how it would hold up in court if challenged, but at least the judge would be very clear on my feelings and intent, I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

I live 8 miles from the campus, so I OD on orange pretty early in the year. And, my home DZ is Flying Tigers so it gives me something to yank the chains of the college kids with. The guy who really got me involved in skydiving is a RB (Santiago) so it was really cool to be initiated in Rantoul. Unfortunately, I had never seen an initiation before mine and I had no idea what I was supposed to do.
