I thought she was being pert at that point . But if you go the speed of light, then does it take any time? If the guy holding the stop watch is standing at the finish line, then it doesn't take any time to complete the last bit from his perspective. (but only if it's a straight track - not likely since it's called 8 'laps') ... I doubt the percentage is that big. Some do, some don't. If it's a right, why begrudge it to those that do provided they are responsible about it? ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

Read that part a couple times and started to laugh out loud. Thanks for that. Drinking and shooting going hand in hand, huh

so you agree that teaching gun safety at school just like driver's ed would be a good idea? that's one of John's thoughts..... these are discussion I'd think could be explored, or lowering the drinking age and holding parents responsible, etc. Again, it's an individual's actions that cause an isse, not the stuff, that's just avoiding responsibility. I also don't have an issue treating "gin" just like liquor. ... Nicely put. I comes down to whether you think the current admin is crooked or whether you think (even if you disagree) that they are making what they think are the best decisions based on the information available at the time. (Hindsight arguments are for masturbators). For some reason I thought that was a Wendy post. After I picked myself up off the floor and double checked, it cleared up. ... Bad analogy - in this analogy, guns aren't 'driving drunk', guns are more like the 'car' or the 'liquor'. Neither of which is illegal, it the misuse or abuse of the legal thing that is illegal. Your analogy would have us make cars illegal. Edit: oops, Kevin already got it, I do need to hit refresh before responding. My point is that it's not the thing that should be illegal, it should be the action of the individual that should be judged. ... I know the Marines still stood at attention for Clinton as duty required. They just also did a 'facing' manuver for Bush that they didn't do for Clinton. ... And by your reasoning, we could also extrapolate. If some commits murder with a candlestick, then we ought to take away everyone's right to a romantically lit dinner. For the Body Builders/Weight Lifters out there.....

In the Navy we drank the shakes every day. Lifted 6 days a week (back-bi's, chest-tri's, legs-shoulders-rotator cuff - 3 workouts twice a week so each muscle group got hit twice a week - never do cuffs the day before chest-tris). Cardio and abs every day. I put on about 30 pounds in the first few months (140 to 170 - just a little guy at 5-9) and all my problems (popping shoulders, etc) went away. Looked a hell of lot better too. Still do maintenance, but nothing like that anymore. ... News story - Pres Bush swims out of flood. Next day - "DFL Questions President's motive - Sure, he said he wanted to live, but it really is a scam to make the oil industry richer" Howard Dean quoted as saying "It was a serious mistake for Pres Bush to use a simple freestyle technique. I don't know what stroke I'd use, but it must be anything other than that. We can't have this kind of leadership. I don't feel any safer." Kerry - "In Vietnam, we only floated quietly" Sharpton - "Why is the film choice only White and Black instead of Black and White? It's wrong, oh wait. Dean doesn't have any pictures in his office in color, only white. What about that?" Michael Moore - "Cameras are bad because they are only used to shoot people." Moveon.org - "Hitler new how to swim. We're just SAYING it." Kucinich and Mosely Braun and Gephardt submitted quotes, but no one was interested enough to listen. ... Pip Redvers is a great guy. I believe that last time I saw his name in the awards pages of parachutist his number was under 10 or 20. You might remember Pip's picture in parachutist as the guy in headdown during an AFF instructor jump. (Pip is plenty talented enough to do that without any issue). ... I had this discussion in a PM yesterday i.e., is the poll about: tracking or, tracking dives For some it would definitely change their answer Edit: BTW I think SJuggler meant the second whe he set up the poll, and most everyone else was discussing the first - most anyone would agree that "tracking dives" would be the area typically assigned to freeflyers so the only poll making sense would be the first - communication is a tricky thing..... ...
