    Lasix?

I've never heard of them actually removing a flap and then replacing it. Mine was 'lasik' and it was a partial circle cut (of the top layer) and then folded back. Your 'Lasek' sounds like Lasek but is new and the main difference is that they cut a shallower layer of the epithelium - then have to do extra stuff to accommodate this..... Here's a clip from http://www.allaboutvision.com/visionsurgery/lasek.htm: "LASEK (laser epithelial keratomileusis) is a relatively new procedure that is technically a variation of PRK. Also called epithelial LASIK or E-LASIK, LASEK is used mostly for people with corneas that are too thin or too flat for LASIK. It was developed to reduce the chance of complications that occur when the flap created during LASIK is not the ideal thickness or diameter." I had a friend with thin corneas and she decided not to do Lasik because of it. Maybe this is an option. If it was me, I'd likely not do it, thin corneas seem risky to mess with. Lasek sounds to me like they are even using part of the Epith thickness as additional focusing material, Thanks for the heads up. ... Lasix?

I've heard of RK, PRK and Lasik what's the diff between Lasik and Lasek? aside - the story I heard about RK was that a russian boxer with a little bit of nearsightedness got punched in the eye. His eye was cut and he found out later he could see better. They figured it out and that's how all this got started. Anyone else hear this one? ... Hmmm, a criticism, but no alternate theory. Democrat? Actually, good point - I don't see any other answers here yet though and this is a good question. He could just take two of the three and if he doesn't die, then the extra is pill B. Or, we have him pick one, and then Monte Hall removes a B from the remaining 2. Same odds of living 67%. Lasix?

It was a fantastic procedure for me 4 or 5 years ago and I'm very pleased. Do your research and be extremely picky about the doctor you choose. Sometimes people just don't qualify either (thin cornea, big pupils, etc). Remember it's an 'option', not a definite thing once you made up your mind. They'll tell you, but if your prescription is not stable over the last few years, it's not a good idea. ... omniskore.com has a simulator for this but it only assumes two winds, at altitude and the below and the wind break point. try it, it's a reasonable way to demonstrate what you're trying. The balls will get separation due to the airspeed of the plane and then experience the 'same' wind profile all the way to the ground, just as if there wasn't any wind. (exception is if the balls fall at different fall rates.) ... 12. Look, guns don't kill people, bullets don't kill people (lead poisoning and interior damage don't kill people) 'people' kill people. Let's legislate that you can't have 'people' without proper locks and permits and a 9 month waiting period. Fully under government control - we'll call it 'school'. Automatic versions of 'people' are not allowed as they don't follow the standard definitions of the DFL and can't be placed in any bucket to pander to. 'People' can only be loaded in special ranges, let's call them 'bars'. Definitely uneducated or criminals can't have these 'people' as it takes too much training and they can't be trusted with 'people' unless strictly controlled by the government. and so on and so forth ... 17. 'd' is the distance flying (it's in some wierd units that allows us to work in a velocity of knots instead of mph or ft/s or m/s - what can you do?) case one: time = d/v (first leg) + d/v (2nd leg) = d/100 + d/100 = 0.02 d case two: same thought = d/(100-30) + d/(100+135) = d(70+135)/(70*135) = 0.0216931 d case three: the velocity in a straight line requires crabbing to the target so v = sqrt(100^2-30^2)) v= sqrt of 9100 or about 95.39 knots so t = d/95.39 + d/95.39 = 0.020966 d like I said, headwinds always suck (or blow depending on which way you are facing) ... No it wouldn't. Light does take time to travel distances. IIRC it takes 8 minutes to get from the sun to the earth. Nice correction. I bet Kallend could explain it. (but could he do it without taking a potshot at some politician?) Speed of light isn't about time travel, it's more about propagation of information. But, if you can travel to the end faster than the information which shows you are too late, then you still beat the clock and average 180 mph. (Example, I'm moving directly at you from the sun at the speed of light, you hold the stop watch, when you see me leave, hit the start button. When I'm standing next to you, hit stop. Ignore the acceleration trauma I'm experiencing and whatever wierd effects I take along with me even if they do destroy the planet and, more importantly, the stop watch. I guarantee you don't show 8 minutes, but if I also have a stop watch, it does show 8 minutes.) ... 23. That's a great question. We're looking for drag to track flat and still have a good angle. Since the columns of your body parts do bring along a boundary layer that 'acts' like more surface area, I'd think that spreading out a little bit helps, especially towards the legs (you want a ton of lift in the legs and feet, right? not a hard dive, but high tail lift - I know, oversimplified). I 'think' I track best with legs apart a bit and arms fairly close in, but it's all relative to whoever I'm passing or being passed by. You ever drive with your hand out the window and try different cupping and finger spreading and seeing which gives the most resistance? I bet most skydivers have.... ...
