  2. Now you are just being confrontational. stop it. get the money back to the owners and then the thief is punished - the whole context is about how they are treated in a court of law - doesn't that mean they got caught already for the first crime? And you think if the thief stole 10mil from two teenage lesbians then they should be punished more than if it were stole from a heterosexual couple? (just kidding, see I can be unnecessarily confrontational too) deterence comes in a weak 2nd the other excuses are just social experimentation - that's all I mean political joke/escalation ("So if I steal 10 million dollars and then retire to a tropical island, I shouldn't be punished since I won't need to steal again?" - sounds like a democratic platform plank if I heard one ... 3. I agree with grading crimes. I was being brief and you jumped right on it. Thanks In my perfect world, the punishment should be scaled on the risk of the person doing the crime again, not on PC issues, though. (Although, if a person is dead it doesn't matter much if the killer was outraged over society's unfairness or just a bad person, they are still dead. But the justification might matter as an indicator if they'd do it again.) But we do both anyway, right or wrong. PC based laws are just purchasing votes from special interest groups. Do we have any unique (and substantive)laws that are PC based that aren't already covered without the bias? Justice is about removing a potential threat. Punishment, closure, rehab, etc is all too late - it's about the potential next crime, not the one they already got away with. ... 4. Sadly true. Rocket has it - a crime is a crime because of the action. Don't worry, many people will stand up and try to protect these murderers because of it. The problem with claw hammers is they are created for only one thing - to kill Sign on door at work - "This establishment prohibits claw hammers" (except it of course is in all caps) ... 6. The 50 different states do have vastly different cultures. We need someone (unpretentious) who's done both. Unfortunately all my international travel has been in the orient (vastly different cultures, though between those nations). A lot of fun. It's less where you've been but more how you take the differences you see and make them a part of how you deal with people. Someone could be all over the world and also all over within a couple large nations and still not get it and expect everyone to think exactly as they do on subjective issues. Another person could be from Boston and then visit the Bayou and learn that some differences truly are fundamental but people are the same deep down. Some kid in New York could travel through all the buroughs and truly get to know people in every area and learn to make friends and deal in the different environments. Another person could visit all the countries of Europe over a summer and leave feeling like they are much superior to all these others. Of the four, who's better 'educated' as a result of their travels? who just moved around a lot? ... 7. Quotea discussion based on that must be a fine reason for gathering friends for a weekend, together with Italien wine, Belgian chocolate, cheese from NL oder Switzerland, German beer .... not to forget Hamburgers... (this only is the funny side) Quote For discussions sake - A discussion based on this would also be fun over either Washington or California wine, Hershey chocolates, Wisconsin cheese and various microbrewery beers, working the conversations with people of all races, 4 or 5 major languages in addition to English in several distinct accents and dialects. For dinner, there's Philly cheesesteaks or good Cajun cooking, or southwest food or a big midwestern steak, Maine lobster maybe. The point is people from small countries tend to bunch up Americans into a one-size-fits-all stereotype (you see it all the time in these forums). I understand this as many countries are defined by the original specific cultures, so being from another country to them automatically means they have a different culture. But not true everywhere.

    Get over it

I love that phrase. A teammate and I joked about the pain we receive whenever either one of us uses it with our wives. Had he stayed on the team this year we would have changed the team name to "Get Over It" - also works as we were the point piece with most of the verticals. ... 16. Me too. I can't drink beer so had to move to hard liquor though. Beer is just way to filling - rough on the system. The trick is to find that one liquor that doesn't give you the hangover and just stick with that. Most people it's usually vodka. 19. I think you are confusing ignorance with idiocy. You see, the semantics of how something is said is much more important than what you really mean and how you act, because words really hurt, not like sticks and stones, well, sticks and stones do hurt, but words can sting, well so can sticks and stones. But it's not about sticks and stones, so much as pointy sticks and gummi bears. I like vanilla ... 20. I really gotta disagree with your statement. I've owned three types of rigs since beginning freefly and I only can recommend one of them. It's true that some companies have better qualities than others, but my answer was for overall quality construction and safety. You currently own a Mirage right? You recommended the Mirage right? What are you disagreeing with? I see one guy (edit: oops, I mean one pretty woman) above out of (about ten?) specifically stating they's rather have a different rig than the Atom they currently own. That's about 90% roughly. Even so, the reasons that people pick their rigs is what this type of thread is all about and THAT IS good info. I do like my Odyssey for FF and RW, but the others look fine, too. I suspect if our poster takes this advice and looks at features recommended instead of brands recommended that quite a few containers would do just fine. Edit: hi ...
