    Pit Special

my wife makes suits, and I've talked to a lot of pros on suits vents, cords, afterburners = dumb gimmicks - if the bootie is sized well and fitted correctly, you don't need special junk down there full and large gripper set, cordura booties (the biggest they have), good fit, no bootie zippers (also known as stress points), no gimmicks, etc knee pads, cordura elsewhere, liners, etc - your preference. This type of stuff is about comfort and wear.... do a search here on RW suits - there's about 8 million of them Pit Special - Having seen a lot of repairs and resizes on Tony's suits through my wife's biz, I think Tony has great leather that he uses in his booties - in general, these are decent suits ... 5. Are you suggesting that Obama allow 3000 more Americans to die, so he can also enjoy a big bump in his approval rating? Foreign policy events, good or bad, nearly always raise the President's rating. It's not beyond the realm of possibility for quite a few politicians. This one included. ... 10. and he still doesn't get it - he still thinks a deal where the other 49 states (48, since Nebraska is out) supplement his costs is a good deal until we all stop thinking like this (it's ok if someone else pays for it) - we'll go bankrupt As of 2005, California got back $.78 out of every $1.00 we sent to the Feds as taxes. Even if they kick back enough to cover the mandated Medicare spending increases we'll still be the "some one else" paying for the 32 states that get more than they give ranging from egregious like New Mexico at $2.03 to moderate like Nebraska at $1.10. California is also broke. We can't afford government mandated spending increases without additional funds to cover the bills. so you understand then? But are you arguing that Cali should then take the same underhanded trick as Nebraska? or that Nebraska shouldn't get any special treatment? "the system is unfair, we have to stop it" "the system is unfair, so I want to play the game better than the others" ... 14. Thus making it where only the RICH can afford to bring suit. As opposed to only the rich can afford to defend a suit, like we have right now. there you go, and, if there are technical requirements only the rich that can afford advanced education too are allowed on juries as well sure would cut down on the total case load we could advertise it as a budget reduction initiative - no cases unless the defendant, the prosecution, and the jury - are rich and well educated sounds pretty "conservative" to me - a real throwback to the 1600's anyone not rich won't get a court date, but they can just go see one of the 'certified' people for judgment on their serf-like issues ... 17. again - +1 to SpeedRacer Liberalism (true) - Accepts change to the normal process that improves individual freedoms Liberalism (distorted) - wants to take everyone's money to support their pet projects - wants to go very socialistic - or very right wing (the extreme dems and reps are very "liberal" in this way.) true liberals get upset when they are bunched into the (currently MUCH larger group of the distorted definition). And rightly so. Although, there are a lot of the distorted types that truly have rationalized themselves into thinking they are the first kind. (difficult example - privatization of social security is a very liberal concept, but most self proclaimed 'liberals' can't possibly admit it because they aren't true liberals rather distorted def libs that are really partisan hacks) much like true conservatives get upset when they are bunched into the radical religious right people like negative stereotypes, it makes them feel superior to others without having to spend any effort it's also a LOT more fun in forums ... 20. DD - So I've looked at your position and I just don't see your point. The owner can randomly pick anyone he likes to give away the farm to after his death. That's currently allowed now anyway - though most typically want to care for their offspring as motivation to excel. who can he pick from? 1 - the Kids - who likely are paid to work at some other place or very well in family business 2 - the employees - who are are paid already to do their jobs 3 - odd strangers off the street - who are paid already to do their jobs 4 - friends and other acquaintances - same thing ad nauseum I see nowhere in here how anyone is more "deserving" than anyone else by your standards. Other than your bias to the kids for some unkown stereotype you maintain on it. I certainly see how the kids are more deserving by anyone else's standards as they share the risk that "Dad" took in sacrificing the family assets to keep the business running. In the end, the only positive I can see here is using this as a business practice to possibly attract better talent to the company - which most already do with stock gifts and options (essentially giving them part ownership now, not later). The downside is clearly undermining motivation to even try to start a small or medium sized business. I really think you just have an issue with inheiritence (spelling apologies there). There's little other reason for this concept. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
  21. you sound like a bitter union guy here - if it bothers you, go earn that "piece of paper" like he did and stop crying about it. 9 of 10 times I've heard this flavor of gripe, the 'tech' bitching about the engineer has no clue as to the job duties of the engineer - he just 'thought' he did. But when he went home after his assigned hours, the eng was still working late after on his real job. Mostly I've heard this gripe from mechanics in the airline industry though. 25. wow, I'm so confused - I so expect you two to be on opposite sides of this particular rather nitpicky discussion since it relates to tax credits for special groups (normally a left position) vs treating everyone the same (normally a rightie position) in short - yes, Mike, there's no specific/delineated/expressing defined line item tax added for this stuff. Stop being obtuse. This is how the government screw us. yes, John, if one group gets a credit, then anyone not taking, or not eligible, for that credit has to pay more since the credit takers aren't carrying an equal load of the tax burden. No know that, liberals revel in it. It's a tax ratcheting mechanism that could be considered as added tax which would reflect in a higher general rate. Or at least a lost opportunity for a credit. you both win, we all lose. thanks for all the fish ...
