Right now, Warren G is the choice. A few decades from now, I suspect Dubyah will be the winner ...assuming our country survives his onslaught on freedoms. Michael

Careful dude, people are gonna start responding that you have problems with or hate drones. Michael -
Agree in general, but viewing manners as a manifestation of morality is way off base ...but then it's a common mistake. Many (most?) people view personality as a manifestation of character. Indeed, people make decisions for 'life' partners based on ritualistic mannerisms and social pleasantries. Good manners and charm are poor barometers of character and integrity. Michael

I'm considering going. Sounds like a great place for a great CRW Boogie if we can get some talent there. Anyone up for it?

Excellent answer. I've found most deathbed thought center around this very issue. Michael

Not all that strange.....The news media is very slanted for the Dems. Well, Ron, Quayle was stupid ...really, not very bright. When looking at the top two offices, it seems to me that America has suffered enough with one stupid person. A Bush/Quayle-like ticket just might destroy us, don't you think? Of course you do, you just won't admit it. Michael

i've owned three cars in the past 25 years. 1978 Datsun B-210 10 years and 224,000 miles. Was running fine (sans A/C) when I sold it for $600. No significant problems with the car. Probably the best economy car ever built. 1988 Honda Accord LXi 13 years and 350,000 miles. Pretty much all used up at the end but trouble free for 12 years. One of the best mid-range cars ever built. I insisted I get something for it when I bought ... 2002 Hundai Elantra. Be three years this Fall. I'll get back to you with an update in about a decade All my cars were driven reasonably, washed and waxed every solar eclipse and the oil changed whenever I got around to it (after the first year of every 3 mo, probably averaging an oil change every two years ...or so. A car, to me, is a way to get from one place to another while carrying some stuff. I spend some time researching a car before I buy it. As you can see, I plan on keeping them a while.

People will give up just about everthing for the illusion of safety if they are scared enough. Rationalization is a powerful tool. You can even convince yourself that subverting everything that made this country great is a good idea. Michael

There is only one reason, it is it's own reward. Michael

Exactly. It's not like it has anything to do with love. OTH the legal benifits extended to some in this country should not be limited by a religios bigotry. Seperate the two. Leave marage for those that want to be "club" members and let the churches play by their own rules. But if benifits are going to be handed out, hand them out fairly, or don't give them at all. Why the heck sould we be giving anyone a break for being married anyway? Cause it makes for nice, docile members of society. It keeps you in jobs you would split from in a heartbeat if you didn't have family responsibilites and makes you a 'safer' member of the tribal collective. Just cut to the chase ...find some woman you hate and buy her a nice house to fuck her new boyfriend in. Michael

Online air tickets have save me some money here and there but the big savings has been on car rentals. Don't go with Obitz, et al, but check the web site of your airport destination and check all the car rental companies listed. For example, I have a midsized car reserved at ONT later this month. Cost me $96 for four days with the spread going past $400. I've found this to be typical just about every time I travel. By going to the car rental site, you can catch some deals. Budget had (has?)a special on their site: pay with Mastercard, get 20% off and a free upgrade. So, at RDU two weeks ago, for four days, I paid $84 for a Mercury Marquis. Check em all! Skies, Michael
