Same here dude. Every hard (SLAM) or off heading opening I've ever had was packed by someone other than me, so I personally pack my own. I had 2 done in Rantoul by Packin' Cathys crew. 2 worst (ouch) openings I've had in over a year. CYPRES? Let's not make this another one of those threads and just say, um, no thanks. Kate, I live in an area as cold as you, and sometimes quite colder. I hate every minute of it now. It's just cold. At least where you are there is cold and beauty, I just have cold. I would love to move to a warmer clime, but if I had to stay in the cold, where you are is where I would love to be. Maybe by then I will have found a freaking side mount camera helmet I can afford... It sucks having the camera and roll cage, and not being able to afford even the cheap used helmets. $200 one that was offered was a damn good deal, but it's twice what I can afford right now. Me too. I'd only keep jumping if I "wasn't there" (i.e. knocked out) when it fired, or if it misfired (in which case I'd begin to reconsider having one on my rig). I don't have one in either of my rigs, but I'm right there with you Lisa. If you cannot save your own life, should have been able to (awake, alert, no broken arms, ect.), and the CYPRES does the job, who's to say it might not happen again, and the CYPRES you "depended" on to save your life doesn't work this time.....
