What on earth this press release had to do with airports or their food service baffles me. Thanks for the pleasant response. Sadly, that's pretty much the same hostile attitude we encounter at US Customs on far too many occasions. John What you are saying is something like this: I'm not visiting London because the cab drivers are scam artists. Like it's cab drivers that will keep me from going to London" I think not. Custom official typically ask for papers. What is it you don't like about someone asking you for your passport? And when American's come back into the US do you think we get any separate treatment that is better? As we get the same treatment. And the treatment is pretty much the same no matter what country you visit. Now if you simply find it offensive that someone needs ask you to look at your papers, then you probably shouldn't travel to any country. Like I already said on here I've had machine guns put in my face at borders. Now if you can't stand the heat. Stay home. And if you can tolerate the inconvenience of going through customs you might find some things a country has to offer. Once you're at the South Rim, you'll be forgetting anything that happened at the airport, believe me. Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. But try and comprehend these stats. http://www.ustravel.org/marketing/national-travel-and-tourism-week/talking-points-and-facts Tourism is a life blood of our economy. As more and more foreign travelers get treated poorly after waiting in very long lines, that income will begin to dwindle. And before you insult someone you never met, maybe get to know them. John has his own private aircraft that he could take to a fancy FBO, he lives in a pretty nice place with great views and he's been to lots of nations that have guys with machine guns at their borders and airports. I was joining him by claiming no matter where in the hell you go, airports suck. It's no different here than anywhere else and I've been a lot of places. But the idea he won't go to a place due to some asshole at the airport is well, pretty weak argument not to visit a country. As far as the US has the largest travel industry is mainly due to US people leaving the US on vacations taking their money to other countries. If you read the data. So, WE TOO MUST SUFFER. If you don't like to suffer then STAY THE HELL IN FRANCE WHEN YOU GO THERE FROM HERE AND DON'T COME HOME. Now that's a pretty good excuse not to come back to America! Jeesh, heard enough about problems at the airport. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, the people at customs act that way to shake down a traveler. To see how they react to rudeness. Sure the guy there who is not offended has baloons of heroin in his stomach! They might be acting that way for a reason, via the training they receive. Who knows?

I'd be perfectly happy with this fucking turd being somebody's prison bitch for a while before he gets beat or shivved to death. Wishful thinking. He might be the one with the bitch and shivving someone else. Make the Democrats pay for his food and logging.

Around here a child can't even nibble a pop tart into the shape of a gun without getting busted.

So what about the kids? This thread is about Gay Parents
OHCHUTE replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Two awesome wholesome gay men who are committed to each other and have been for some time (10 years enough for you?) want to adopt a child. Financially they are able, and can provide a great and loving home, and the child will have positive female role models in their life. And you don't think that's okay? Why? I think that's amoral. Say, after 30 years of being together, one cheats on the other, and they separate. Oh... wait that happens in heterosexual relationships too. Okay... your new proposition: two bisexual men who have multiple sex partners... what about a heterosexual couple who have an open relationship? What's the difference? Again, what's it to you? Do you have to explain to the child the nature of relationship of the parents? Just love that word "wholesome," as you describe the men you admire. This whole country is about people telling people what to do, but once you attempt to tell gays what to do, they get all nasty and defensive. If you're telling me what sporting equipment I can own, then I reserve the right to tell you, if you are gay, you shouldn't be raising kids. And yes, heterosexuals who have extramarital affairs shouldn't be raising kits either. And society should NOT HAVE TO bare the cost for other adults to raise their kids either. -

. Well so many of you care what women want to do with their bodies as far as having kids or not, why not care about people raising kids? Like I said: right now it's all about gays getting married, but what are the consequences regarding kids. The advancement of medical science has put us in the conversation. One I didn't start. I care very much how people raise their kids (though at the end of the day, it's their kid, not mine). I'm still yet to see what exactly the parents sexuality has to do with the situation? Two bisexual married men who both have have multiple sex partners yet want to raise kids, has little consequences on child bearing? So basically you are saying an amoral society is OK. That is of course if you think is OK for the guy's to have sex outside of marriage? I'm including B's as in LGBT getting married as I suspect the B's and T's shouldn't be left out of the discussion. Then there are morals. -

Once again you're talking nonsense. Ammo is scarce because gun owners have been panic buying it for the last 4 months, like it was water and tinned food before a natural disaster. That information is first hand from my better-halfs family who OWN a gun store sell out of ammo within half an hour of receiving a shipment. They do the same with rifles... What's your source? Seriously, at this point you're displaying all the trends of one of the nutters who goes on a rampage. Hoarding guns and ammo? Check. An imaginary enemy? Check. Mental disorder? ... Please. Go and talk to someone. A therapist. A friend. Get away from the internet, put down the conspiracy theories that you're coming up with and go and get some help. I'm absolutely serious that you're ticking all the boxes for a nutcase.... If ammo suppliers are shipping the majority of what they make to the DOD, before supplying civil markets then civil market is lean. If you have to drive miles for a box of shells visiting 7 or eight retail outlets then its tight. And if you are not in the market buying ammo to supply your customers then you know nothing. There has not been .22's on the shelves for months for any buying.

Then what's the relevance of the parents sexuality in this argument? Shouldn't we all stop making babies then until all the existing kids are adopted? Very good point. Lets take care of what is here now. You first. He's wearing a helmet and drools. -
So you are telling us you don't like the food at JFK, Newark, Orlando or Philadelphia airports? It's an airport for god sakes. Until you move up in life and own a Gulfstream where you can go through General Aviation gate, you'll have to suffer like the rest of us at all the worlds airports. And if you base not coming to America due to the gate at the airport then buddy you don't deserve to cast your beady eyes on the Grand Canyon, the Tetons, and girls in jeans. Stay the hell home!

The Democrat should pay more in taxes to keep this asshole in prison for the rest of his life as most Republicans would say: hang this scum bag. He's guilty, he knows it, so show him the rope.

Family Research Council? At least try to be serious. So you want to ban surrogate parenting and sperm and egg donation for IVF for both straight and gay couples? And who else shouldn't be allowed to raise kids? People from the projects? People on welfare? Muslims? I was the first to market IVF for a doc so I know the subject matter. I'm not totally keen on leaving one parent's dna out of creating life just to h have kids when there are so many kids that need adopted. When there are so many kids needing to be adopted why do you want to exclude a whole set of willing and capable couples? There a difference to creating a child to care for and adopting an existing child. I'm speaking of the former. That, that is not a good idea. IMHO. -
I would guess not many, here in Utah the police violate our constitutional rights on a regular basis. Regardless of the letter I am sure many of the cops here would have no problem with it, especially the UHP which is known for being thugs and bullies. Tell how the Utah Sheriffs are thugs and bullies. I've visited there and never had any problems as a tourist.

Your subject matter title is misleading and and so are quotes in the article. It's a tad early to make assumptions that the victim was targeted because of who he was or any position he had on guns.

Yea and the person in charge will become our next President. She got out of State to avoid the heat so that it wouldn't ruin her chances running for office.

Cite them. Translation: you're making it up. Here you go Mr. AIPAC. Yes I have your number pertaining to tyrants! 100 Cabela Drive Hamburg, PA 19526-8777 610-929-7000 It's on the left going up the hill. We bought the remaining 5 cases of Baschieri & Pellagri and only one case of AA's. No cases left when we left the store. Surprising that there was only 1 case of American made shotgun shells. Italy is cashing in by sending shells here. US gov't won't buy foreign made ammo. Now run along little dogie... no time for trolls like you.
-
Well, considering I bought up more than I needed while it was cheap last year, there is no shortage at my house. BTW, the ammo is coming into the stores daily. But everyone is freaking out and buying it as fast as they can. So say the clerks at the stores I frequent. It's not the government, it's the gun owners . . . like me and you. OH our sources here in DC tell us Remington stopped making 12ga Gunclub brand so that they can concentrate on supplying the military. Gov't is over buying. In fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised they've issued an executive order and pulled some ammo manufacturing licensing due to "national security" reasons as they can do that! They own the licensing. I'm buying shells made in Italy. If you can believe it. No American made shells are available, that I found traveling over 600 miles in 48 hours.
-
As has already been pointed out to you in other threads: You're making it up. I purchased $1500 worth of ammo in the last 48 hours and I know what I could not buy since shelves are empty. This after visiting 7 retail outlets in 3 different states. Currently retail outlets, including Cabela's will not reveal their inventories. You must visit the stores to see what they have and it's pretty crazy the largest Cabalas in the state of PA only had 5 cases of target load 12ga shells. THIS FOR OUR HOBBIE, shooting trap and skeet. I bought all 5 cases leaving them empty for the day! They were out of 38, 9, no .22 etc. So don't tell me. You know nothing.

Here's one thing the Dems never thought of when banning guns.
OHCHUTE replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Many hunters already fish. The net sum of current conversation may decrease tax revenue across the board from decreased licenses and excise taxes on equipment. People forget that conservation of migratory game birds are funded via these resources. Here are some facts about all the money hunters and fishermen supply state governments. http://www.nssf.org/lit/HunterConservation10.pdf -
It's about time some officials stood up to the OBAMA administration. It is also pleasing to understand there are those who will obey their oath and die if necessary, defending our rights provided to us by our Constitution. This clearly shows State Law Enforcement will defend against a tyranntical Federal Government attempting to enforce unconstitutional laws. The fact that ammo is scarce, where the Federal government is buying up more ammo than they need is highly suspect of any tyranny they might impose upon citizens that we shall not go without arms.

OHCHUTE replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
State conservation funding. Hunters, fishermen who buy hunting and fishing equipment and buy licenses are mostly responsible for the funding of most state departments of natural resources. It's over a billion per year nationwide. There's an 11% tax just on buying arrows to help fund natural resources and conservation. So when there is talk to take away hunting and sporting equipment that drives up costs of that equipment, or makes equipment unavailable, people will cut back on buying equipment or leave the sport all together. I'm hearing this now from people who are having a hard time finding ammo. They'll just give it up. And if this is not enough, some state legislatures have raided dept of natural resources money, for general funds. What this means is, if less money comes in from hunters, then the democratically controlled state governments will have no excuse not to tax non hunters and fishermen due to loss of taxes. Conservation goes by the wayside. -

Jury is still out. Kids Raised by Gays Fair Worse http://www.frc.org/issuebrief/new-study-on-homosexual-parents-tops-all-previous-research And the opposing view: http://www.apa.org/about/policy/parenting.aspx Tell me Elton Johns kid won't be anxious to meet his natural mother. And tell me the child may not be affected by the fact that his mother was "used" solely for the benefit of the gay couple to have a child to raise even not knowing Elton or his male partner had a sperm involved. The jury is out in my opinion. -

I don't know how you'd measure it now as there's simply not enough kids raised by homosexuals. Sure, many kids are screwed up due to being raised by straights but we're talking percentages, per tens of thousands etc. I think Elton Johns son might ask one day: OK DADS, who is my mom? And considering peer group pressure at school I presume there could be a lot of bullying regarding having homosexual parents. Personally there's a lot of screwed up kids due to being raised by single parent and perhaps that might even exceed screwed up kids by gays.
