  1. He says he has an important job. OK, US supplies subsidies to oil firms then collects royalties. I'm not sure how the numbers work out, but if this person isn't collecting enough to warrant keeping his job, he should be laid off. Gov't officials are using this BS to scare people. It's a joke. They need to cut back. That's why they voted the cuts. Why don't DOD officials and Beltway bandits owners take a haircut. That would really solve budget problem.
  2. They are looking for Mr. Harris. OK, were is my money
  3. If you lose... who are you going to pay that million to? I won't loose. It was a rapper that was targeted. I wonder who will pay me
  4. The headspace part is correct. But also, the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles lose gas volume through the plastic in a relatively short time. This is why, when filling them, the PET bottles are overcarbonated to a gas volume of around 4.5, so that they are received by the consumer at the same gas volume as a typical can of soda (around 3.6 gas volumes). Coca Cola/Pepsi/whomever tries to standardize, knowing that products may be left on the shelf, or opened repeatedly. So, a typical 2L bottle of soda will have a shelf-life of 9-13 weeks, while the equivalent product in an aluminum can will have a shelf-life of up to 52 weeks. The cap seal is not the limiting factor in this case, even after being opened. Look at the serations in the threads. It will hold pressure when manufactured. But no matter if the cap is reapplied very tight, the soda will loose remaining pressure, very slowly over time. You are correct. It is a conspiracy by the soda manufacturers to lure you into buying more of their product. Recent, non-peer reviewed studies have clearly indicated the sugar and caffeine are not addictive enough to make people want more, and so the packaging has been cleverly designed to slowly fail before the laws of equilibrium have a chance to work. You are missing the point. Who likes drinking flat coke? I venture to say: more coke is thrown out (from Liter bottles) than consumed due to this cap design. OH HONEY, ITS FLAT, better buy some more coke! The liter bottles are fraud. Flat fraud. Family bottle vs. Individual consumption packaging might be a consideration. Families might do well with liter bottles but might not be good for single person, unless of course they're drinking liters at a time.
  5. For those of you who have been plagued with wearing glasses all your life, don't worry. Soon, everyone will be wearing glasses. And soon after: people will be wearing helmets complete with audio and visual. etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1uyQZNg2vE
  6. State and Federal Gov't is broke. The real reason they want gun registration is to apply a tax or registration fee. Plus now insurance firms want in on the action and want individual owner liability insurance. Basically they'll make it too expense for anyone to own a gun.

  8. Forgot about that one. You're buying water!, if packed in water. And they even make a plastic squisher to remove the water as if you can't use the lid.
  9. Years ago a guy told me they plugged holes in rays and sold the meat as scallops. Now supposedly 80% of all fish labeling is bogus. Who can you trust. Check the top of you liter pop bottle. Look how the threads have slits. The cap allows the gas to escape and the soda goes flat in three days after it's opened. Why" Because Coke doesn't want you to keep Coke around for very long so they ensure it goes flat quick so you'll buy more. Total deceit. I don't buy frozen shrimp in bags as its half ice. Incredibly shrinking food. Before you know it Reeses Cup will offer a magnifying glass to see the candy. McDonalds hamburger is nearly paper thin. And the cost: 1 California Navel orange in Sams club today was $1.00 What your food fraud story?
  10. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of liquidity! But catsup is liquid. Actually I think it's a colloid. Not your point, was it? In a very anti-SC move, I have to say "You're right, I'm wrong. Thank you for providing additional evidence to change my opinion on this issue." I'm not sure I had a point. Except that I now own shares of BRK. Mmm... HFCS-based condiments. Shares of BRK? What model Lear do you own?
  11. I bet one million dollars its an afro/mex in the Range Rover with "custom wheels." Guess we're heading back to cowboy days. Shootem up on the strip. All the more reason you need a gun to protect yourself. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-57570537-504083/las-vegas-strip-shooting-update-police-believe-hotel-altercation-sparked-deadly-attack/
  12. YEA, I SAID SHOTGUN. Meaning: I watched the video and heard Biden say SHOTGUN. Yah yah yah yah.... No wonder...
  13. Very Good Question. This shows you have the same interested as I do and others on this forum. We are discussing what Biden said, not about any guns. The problem with America is that they just don't care. Our politicians are not held accountable for what they say. Here, Biden advocates and recommends breaking Delaware laws and what happens? People don't hold him accountable. Including the President of the United States. Instead they make jokes. Letterman made a joke of it last night. HA HA HA HA Biden is funny. HA HA HA HA Politicians can say anything they want and they know they'll never be held accountable. As American discusses gun violence, gun control, to have a VP recommend illegal use of a gun is pathetic. And Biden should be held accountable for his recommendation. Plain and simple. This is not a joke to laugh about. If more American's felt the same, maybe we'd have a better gov't.
  14. If there is any shot to be heard around the world it's Biden opening his mouth. Unbelievable that a VP of the United State advocates breaking the law with a firearm, especially when this nation has suffered such tragedies in recents months. And the sad things is, Biden is not reading this post to learn what a fool he is. Perhaps a call to Delaware States Attorney might be in order. Isn't it against the law to advocate violating a law?
  15. But according to DZ posters, we're doing quite well via this poll. [url]http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4440956;page=unread#unread[email]
  16. This is south Africa. Don't think for a second this guy will spend one day in jail as attorneys for the defense will be better prepared than the prosecuting attorneys who are gov't people. Besides, drugs caused him to do it so he'll get reduced charges. The fact he's crying a lot also helps.
  17. “I know what you’re thinking: did he fire two shots or only one? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a Stoeger, one of the most basic double-barreled shotguns in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?” In all seriousness, what the FUCK is with the Veep? Seriously?!?! Recommending first that one leave one’s “castle” in order to confront a person with deadly force (which is exactly what George Zimmerman did to that kid who looks like what his boss’ son would like like if he had one) is assault with a deadly weapon. But then to advocate the use of deadly force by TWICE discharging a weapon for the stated purpose of MISSING a target? Jesus, why doesn’t he just toss some friggin firecrackers (Oh, yeah. Those aren’t safe or sane.) When one thinks about, “how does one sentence discard every bit of: (1) firearms safety training; and (2) a couple of centuries of established criminal and tort law?” Biden can find a way to do it. I, for one, think that a sawed off pump action shotgun is an ideal home defense weapon. It has the advantage of “you’ll likely never miss because you just have to point in the general area of the perp.” It also has the distinct advantage over a double barrel in that unless the perp is a deaf fuck like Fuckin’ Billy, the sound of a slide action chambering a round is enough to send him fleeing, thus meaning that deadly force was deployed but didn’t have to be used and achieving a second level of deterrence that a double-barreled shotgun won’t give you. Discharging a firearm to menace somebody? It’s an attitude that lacks appreciation of human life and will definitely allow you to have a nice chat over at least the next several hours with your friendly police or a lawyer. Obviously Biden is a gun owner. And he clearly demonstrates that as a gun owner he doesn't have a clue about how to use a gun for defensive purposes. Firing warning shots thoughout the neighborhood is not only bad advise, it might violate the law. He is so mixed up with his argument of dbl shotgun vs AR15 that he doesn't even have a good argument for shotgun. In fact, it would appear that once you discharged BOTH shells you'd be standing there defenseless. WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THE PEOPLE who might respond to the VP! Such as: Well MR. VP what happens after I shot the shells and the intruder attacks me and I don't have a loaded gun! It's like idiots talking to idiots! We need to form a petition to go and get BIDEN's GUN, as he is not a responsible gun owner. As VP of the United States: he recommends breaking the law with a gun. Really, the whole of AMERICA needs to make a point here. See page 30 of Del law about discharging a firearm. It's prohibited and he's out recommending it. http://www.deloc.org/docs/Delaware_Firearms_Laws.pdf Perhaps we should have a double shot Biden Shootem up day and all stand on our front porches and discharge shots in protest that our VP doesn't have a clue! Totally this person comments are impeachable!
  18. During an interview where a lady had called in asking about whether or not she should buy an AR15 Biden said: You need a shot gun. We live in isolated area. Look if you take your shotgun to the front of the house and discharge 2 shells (meaning he owns double barrel) they'll get the idea. You don't need all those AR15 bullets. Bidens ignorance shows: once you shot your wad outside in front of the house, your standing there with an empty shotgun. Robber might have other plans. In most states it's against the law to discharge firearms in the neightbood. How in the hell are people like this making recommendations about guns when they know absolutely nothing about guns and gun laws. Do Democrats know this guy is an idiot? He could run for the Presidency in a few years! The guy is a dumb ass idiot. And what is wrong with this guy's voice!
  19. What failed America was; Parents- not acting wisely Police- not knowing how to act as they were never informed From CHO, Lochner, Lanza, people knew these guys had issues. What is a parent to do: call the police and tell them their kid is nuts? If so, what will be police response. How will they work to ensure public safety. For Lanza, Ms Lanza should not even have had guns in the house with her son as nuts a he was. For Lochner (AZ), his parents knew he was out acting strange but never contacted police. This is where the gaps are. How does society bridge those gaps. What would be wrong with police tailing the guy for a few days. Hell we spend trillions tailing Taliban! WTF we can't even watch a guy for a few days to see if he is buying guns or not. Police enforcement is the problem, but their hands are tied: parents never make the call. Plus cops don't do anything when they are called.
  20. And the funny thing about it is: the one percent can't spend wide enough to fuel the economy. Before you know it, a few guys will own every public firm in the US.
  21. You wouldn't believe what they are doing here now. Busting elementary school kids for pointing fingers as if they're shooting someone and busting kids also for shooting the bubble gun, some toy. Now if they can bust an elementary school kid, can't they bust someone who is acting totally out of it. What's the solution: kill the guy before he kills you?
  22. He's going to get one: Emperor for life! (This would make a nice thread on it's own.) It's coming folks..... socialism big time. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01/07/house-democrat-serrano-tries-to-alter-constitution-end-presidential-term-limits/
  23. So then as a UMD student living in a house with a man who I know has guns and is acting nutty, I'll keep my Glock near my pillow without him knowing about it and be ready to kill the man should he threaten me with violence. How could I even defend myself perhaps if ambushed. This guy actually gave his roomates a chance to get out by setting fires. OR: the two might have just gone down to the police department or university officials and call for an intervention to remove the guns. How could live there not knowing when you might be shot or not, plus these students have rent pay and they're studying, so moving out is not a option. The one guy did move out so I don't know what his story was. What do you do?
