Explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line area today
OHCHUTE replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
It was just now reported that the concentration is on backpacks. So what happened to the pics that were posted relating to people wearing backpacks near the explosion? And if the pic were taken by someone here, have they contacted the authorities regarding those pics? -
My bad. I meant 16. My ATA handicap is set at the 20 line.

Explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line area today
OHCHUTE replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
Off topic, but not likely. The current field size is pretty much all the traffic the roads can handle. Why off topic? We are discussing explosions at the Boston Marathon. I'm planning on taking my whole family next year and I'm going to convince as many of our friends to go as well to show support that these idiots will not ruin our country. There is always the train to Boston! No roads necessary. -
Explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line area today

My son's friend was running and his family were there. They are OK. This was simply a cowardly senseless act. I hope the Boston Marathon will be twice the size next year as it was this year! -
Well done! What yardage were you shooting from? 40yds. with mod choke. I use full choke beyond 40.

So can backpacks. Around DC... No backpacks or coolers and purses are searched. We're heading to that for all major assemblies of people. More rights gone due to assholes. -
Explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line area today
OHCHUTE replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
A guy standing next to the blast said it originated from a trash can. Many leg injuries including one guy who got both legs blow off. Other injuries. I'm surprised there would be trash cans there as they can be used to harbor backpacks with explosives. -

I like how people speculate. No one know anything at the moment. What we do know is that for the next Boston Marathon there will be better security. -

It's proposed background checks for Internet Gun Sales
OHCHUTE replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Again, why not just join the discussion instead of name calling. Do you know the difference between a Colt AR15 Sporter and other AR15's. MD exempts AR15 sporters, and copycat sporters, yet bans other AR15's. Do you know that an AR15 receiver is the same on all AR15's. Which accepts any size mags from 5 round to 30? If the receivers are the same, then why only is the sporter version allowed an not other AR15's. The rules have been posted but it's lacking descriptions. Please define the differences. Only then I might continue to talk to you. Your other allegations are false. -
NASA faked the moon landing, therefore (climate) science is a hoax.
OHCHUTE replied to livendive's topic in Speakers Corner
But NASA didn't fake a moon landing so climate science is not a hoax. Not sure about the premise here that HIV causes Aids and Tobacco causes cancer relating to free markets? Page 4, no, HIV was started by a pharm company so to sell drugs to sick people. All I know is if you can get many people talking about how cows milk is actually purple before it is homogenized more people will believe it to be true. Al Gore....made a fortune scaring people to believe our climate is changing when it's been changing since the beginning of time. There use to be glaciers in Pennsylvania. -

What I can't believe is that only after calling me a troll, you actually join the discussion. Why not just join discussions without calling people trolls? -
It's proposed background checks for Internet Gun Sales
OHCHUTE replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Shhh! Don't give away the big secret. Let 'em think that they're actually passing something new, and then they'll go away happy. Little do they know that it's already being done. Lay low and let 'em feel good for "doing something", even though it's already being done. Then we gun owners can sit back and snicker at how ignorant and foolish they are, while letting them believe they won something. Mum's the word! Good idea! HA -

So how would Andy Warhol's pee paintings fit in. Is that not freedom of expression. BTW, Warhol museum in Pittsburgh PA has much of Andy's art, that which never sold, including many pee paintings. The huge skull painting was by far the largest painting on canvass I've ever seen. The shop is worth seeing if your in Pitt. -

Thank you. Rules are not completely formulated. They don't even know how they'll do the 8 hour training as the state doesn't have any handgun trainers. Governor Omalley wants to be president so he's on a whirlwind to pass a bunch of laws. -

The assult weapon bans are retarded, but this is not one way in which Maryland's is retarded. Wify can't register it, can't sell it, can't give it to someone. No provision in dealing with an unregistered AR. I presume she turns it over to the state police which is what they want.... confiscation within a generation of all AR. Funny they left AR sporter in there as not a regulated AR.... no change then regarding possessing Colt AR sporter. -
Suicide mass murders are a product of our society. Once a person shot themselves or hung themselves in the garage without taking other life. Now, it seem almost routine that one not only takes their own life but takes others with them. Why? Cho even mailed a package to NBC during his crimes. What is the motivation for these people to kill others? Perhaps these people were given too much during their lives and enabled. When I grew up I had to work. I worked for gas money and college tuition. Now days, kids are riding around in cars paid for by their parents. Here's Adam Lanza, living high on the hog, no job, totally supported. Perhaps its the parents fault for giving too much and not forcing the kids to do for themselves. I don't have the answers but as many people that are taking their own lives and those with them something is up with that. We just had a military recruiter kill a 17 year old girl, a person he was trying to get to join the army murdered and then the recruiter killed himself. The focus might be on learning why there are so many suicidal people and no so much on controlling guns.

No stretch. No provision for having AR in the house upon death of AR owner. Those remaining are in possession of an illegal firearm. Laza stole the guns from his mother in committing crimes. He was a nubjob and a perp. -
You don't chlorinate your pool? How do you keep bacteria and algae from growing? Tap water is chlorinated and so is pool water. But my pool water doesn't have the floride

WE DO NOW. CERTIFIED NUTJUBS CAN"T BUY GUNS. 11f on the BATF NICS form. So what you really want to ban are liars! A nutjob who lies on the BATF form telling the dealer he's not a nutjob? Tell me how you'd expect to do that. And tell me what expanded background checks mean? Are they going to do a anal search on you before allowing you to buy a gun. Hell you might have drugs up there. Or a gun! Has happened.

The grid would have no influence in short of the pool lights. The electric lines that power the pump are no where near the pool, not to say water running though the pump might become electrified, but I doubt it. If lightening struck the pool with you in it, the grid would have no influence. I was told the grid was for getting in and out of the pool during electrical faults. That was it.

Everyone in this country is against criminals and nutjobs having guns. The question is: how do you limit gun access to criminal and nutjobs. The answer is: you can't Fingerprinting Mr. Homeowner law abiding citizen when he buys a gun will not stop a nutjob. Look, after 911 I doubt many more aircraft will be flown into buildings due to controls. Since Newtown and states taking responsibility to lock school doors and having someone there to block a trench coated kid will have the same effect. Nutjobs will avoid schools. For god sakes we live with nutjobs. Get use to it.
-
Aside from the doc, reporting to the BATF, about a nutjob, gun laws are at a maximum in curtailing a nutjob. What is your proposal to end nutjobs? If that is a possibility You and all democrats are at an impasse as there is nothing that can be done aside from confiscation and fortifying assembly of unarmed people. Face the facts.
-
Forgot to mention: my crystal clear pool water is cleaner than city water. Drinkable. The neighbors could only hope to have this water at the tap. BTW. The pool is well fortified from water thieves when the cities falther due to democrats bankrupting the infrastructure. We have water bazookas on the roof overlooking the pool.

The liberal mind is so fascinating. When beat in an argument they resort to off topic circuitous BS that doesn't make a lot of sense.
