I was just wondering, when starting out for the 1st time what equipment should one be looking/buying first. should one look for a camera and build around that? or a helmet and build around that? when i get around to start buying equipment i want to know where to start. I am going to use it for just video, no stills. Also, I know i have low jump numbers right now, but i figure by the time i actually get enough money for this stuff i'll have enough jumps. thanks in advance. Today was pretty sweet. I woke today and again clouds, so i thought to myself "well shit, no jumping today". Well guess who called at around 2pm today, the dropzone. I hurried on down there and made 2 quick jumps and then on the third I got to do number !!! hell ya. got it on video and stills (thanks Kevin), did a little 2 way, landing was right on, it was one of the best jumps. i loved every second of it. also today, which isn't so great, but still definately worth noting. One of the guys on my second jump had a cutaway, something to do with his toggles, but he is ok. and another guy had a low turn and had to be helped back to the hanger. so those were exciting as well. just thought i would share my day with ya, now back to studying some more bullshit. by the way i'll post pics tomarow when i get them developed. The last 20 to 30 jumps i've been doing all RW stuff and have definately improved, but I'm still not as aware as I would like to be, how can I improve this? by aware I mean I notice everybody in the formation but it's not crystal clear, I can't really focus on and see the eyes of the person mirroring me in the formation. I just got a used RW suit and was wondering how it should fit? I already know it's tight, but how tight should it be? it's to the point that I can't put my leg through my leg straps if I try to kick them back there. I have to first put my legs through the straps then the arms, which is kinda wierd. Also since there are no zippers on the booties I can't easily take the booties off/on to save the wear on them when walking around. It's a bev fx competition type RW suit, so i'm not sure if they are usually like that or not. Any info would be great. So what suit would you guys recommend for a person like me with 90 jumps, who is new to the RW scene but would like to get competitive? I was on the computer when i look outside and this cop is wrestling someone to the ground. I go outside and ask if he needs any help because the guy is resisting pretty good, and i was told to hold his legs. i'm not a big person either so it was kind of wierd, my adrenaline was pumping pretty good though. they found some needles and shit on him but i don't think anything else. so my day got pretty exciting just now. so if this is a first do i owe beer? just thought i would share. damn i should have got pics of it.
